Hydrodynamic analyses of typical underwater gliders

The underwater glider changes its weight and the weight distribution through the battery use, to move up and down and forward in the sea. It enjoys many advantages such as a long endurance, and a long operational range with its unique device. The performance of the underwater glider can not evaluated only by the drag, the energy consumption is also one of the key factors. In this paper, the power conversion ratio is proposed according to the transfer efficiency from the gravitational potential energy to the available work, and the performances of three typical underwater gliders are evaluated from multi-angles, such as the drag, the power conversion ratio and the barycenter＇s offset. So the glide performance and the energy consumption in various motion states can be analyzed. The results of this paper can provide a theoretical basis for further study of underwater gliders.

The compositions and the carbon isotope characteristics of methanes of the coal-bed gases from 14 coal mines and 3 deep to medium boreholes are studied in this *** is found that the coal-bed gases from the coal mines are characterized by the drying or lightening phenomena, which are absent in coal-bed gases from the *** drying and lightening features were not observed in the coalbed gases derived from both the primary zones and the lignite pyrolysis simulation ***, it is considered that the drying and lightening of coal-bed gases in the coal mines result from the secondary destructive *** origins of dried or lightened coal-bed gases may be due to （ⅰ） desorption-diffusion, （ⅱ） the exchange equilibrium of carbon isotopes between CH4 and CO2, and （ⅲ） mixing of primary coal-bed gases with syncoalification or postcoalification of biogenetic gases, among which the desorption-diffusion origin is of primary importance.

This paper studies the evolutional characteristics and the geochemical significance of the immature, mature, highly mature steranes and polycyclic terpanes of the Upper Tertiary in a deep well of Qaidam Basin, on the basis of their compositions and configurations obtained from GC-MS analysis. The informations are further used to determine the threshold depth of main oil generation zone in combination with ESR data, and to identify the source of their precursors in combination with stable carbon isotopic data. It is concluded that the precursors are mainly terrigenous. Pregnane is common in the sample and a complete series of tricyelic diterpanes (C16-C28) is made up after the organic matter becomes mature.

Thickened heavy oils in China are genetically characteristic of continenta .As to their physico-chemical properties,these oils are very high in viscosity and low in sulphur and trace element *** the group constituents,the concentrations of non-hydrocarbons and asphaltene are very high but those of saturated hydrocarbons and aromatics are very *** gas chromatograms of alkanes show that these heavy oils have high abundances of iso-alkanes and cyclic *** all the steroids and terpenoids ,bicyclic sesquiterpenoids,tricyclic diterpenoids,re-arranged steranes and gammacerane are strongly *** formation of heavy oil reservoirs is controlled mainly by late basin ascendance,biodegradation,flushing by meteoric water and oxidation in the oil-bearing ***-cording to their formation mechanisms,heavy oil reservoirs can be classified as four categories:weathering and denudation,marginal oxidation,secondary migration and thickening of bottom water .Spacially,heavy thick oil reservoirs are distributed regularly:they usually show some paragenetic relationships with normal oil *** oil reservoirs often occur in structural highs or in overlying younger *** burial depth is about ***,most of them are distributed on the margins of basins or depressions.
