Based on distance matrixW, the novel topological indexW F is defined by the matricesX, W, L, asW F=WXL. WhereX is a row matrix, which expresses the bonding characteristics between adjacent atoms;L is a column matrix expressing the characteristic of vertexes in molecules;W is a distance matrix, which expresses the chemical environment of the atoms in the molecule. the properties, the chemical environments and the interaction of the vertexes in a molecule are taken into account in this definition. Hence the application of the indexW F to multiple bonds and heteroatomcontaining organic systems or inorganic systems is possible. Good correlation coefficients are achieved not only in the prediction of the standard formation enthalpy of methyl halides, titanium halides, but also the retention index of gas chromatography of the hydrocarbons. This paper describes a GIS-based sp atial analysis method that combines qualitative analysis and quantita-tive analysis to characterize land-use patterns and predict the trend of future land-use changes in Haizhu Di strict of Guangzhou City,*** tech nique is introduced to manage land-u se data and derive information of lan d-use *** the case study for t he selected area,it is demonstrated that the method and technique introd uced in the paper can be effectively utilized fo r the analysis of urban land-use chan *** upon this analysis,the paper also pro-vides discussions and recommendati on on urban land-use planning,urban planning and land *** l and-use maps of Haizhu District of Guangzhou in 1995and 1997and the remote sensin g images of 1999are utilized in the cu r-rent *** is convenient to ge t various statistic data and to combi ne attribute data with spatial data s o as to analyze land-use changes in a geographic con text,which is especially suitable f or the need of urban construction dep artment,ur-ban management department and urban planning department.

This paper presents a development o f the extended Cellular Automata9CA),based on relational databases(RDB),to model dynamic interactions amon g spatial *** integration o f Geographical Information System(GIS)and CA has the great advantage of simu lationg geographical *** standard CA has some restrictions i n cellular shape and neighbourhood and neighbour rules,which restrict the CA’ s ability to simulate complex,real world *** paper discusses a cell’ s spatialrelationbasedonthe spatialobject’ s geometricalandmon -geometricalc haracter-istics,and extends the cell’ s neighbour definition,and considers that the cell’ s neighbour lies in the forms of not on ly spa-tial adjacency but also attribute co *** paper then puts forw ard that spatial relations between t wo different cells can be divided into three types,including spatial adjacency,neighbour hood and complicated *** sed on tradition-al ideas,it is impossible to settle CA’ s restrictions *** -based CA is an academic experiment,in which some fields ard desighed to describe the essential information needed to define and select a cell’ s *** culture innovation diffusion system has mul tiple forms of space diffusion and in herited characteristics that the RD B -based CA is capable of simulating more effectiv *** this paper details a successful case study on the diffusion o f fashion wear *** to the original CA,the RDB -based CA is a more natural and efficient representation of human k nowl-edge over space,and is an effective t ol in simulation complex systems that have multiple forms of spatial diff usion.
