Extending raw materials ordering policy with genetic algorithm

A fractional-integral multiple ordering method was proposed to improve the integral multiple ordering method in material procurements. To illustrate the improvement effect, a new model considering a fractional-integral multiple ordering method was presented to extend the model proposed by Woo, Hsu, and Wu (2001), and a genetic algorithm was developed to resolve the modified model. Finally a numerical study based on the example used by Woo, Hsu, and Wu was presented to illustrate that the proposed model provided a lower or equal joint total relevant cost compared with Woo, Hsu, and Wu’s model.

A DECOMPOSITION METHOD OF STRUCTURAL DECOMPOSITION ANALYSIS

Over the past two decades, structural decomposition analysis (SDA) has developed into a major analytical tool in the field of input-output (IO) techniques, but the method was found to suffer from one or more of the following problems. The decomposition forms, which are used to measure the contribution of a specific determinant, are not unique due to the existence of a multitude of equivalent forms, irrational due to the weights of different determinants not matching, inexact due to the existence of large interaction *** this paper, a decomposition method is derived to overcome these deficiencies, and we prove that the result of this approach is equal to the Shapley value in cooperative games,and so some properties of the method are obtained. Beyond that, the two approaches that have been used predominantly in the literature have been proved to be the approximate solutions of the method.

Creating Government Financing Programs for Small-and Medium -Sized Enterprises in China

The growth of small -and medium -sized enterprises (SMEs) is a key ingredient for thesustainable economic development of China. The question that this paper investigates is:What types of financing programs are the most appropriate for the government of China, ifit wants to make more capital available to SMEs? This paper seeks to be informative inthree respects. First, we introduce and utilize a theoretical framework for determining theeffectiveness of government programs that provide financing to SMEs. The key variable indetermining the effectiveness of a program is how similar SMEs loans are to other investmentsthat the lenders can make. Second, this paper describes two types of U.S. governmentprograms that have operated to assist financing of small businesses, and the experience ofthese programs. Third, this paper relates the outcomes of the U.S. programs to the theorypresented, and discusses the implications for the government and SMEs of China. Loancharacteristic programs that change risk of SME loans, such as loan guarantee programs,are concluded to be more appropriate than loan subsidies or portfolio restrictions, giventhat Chinese banks are relatively experienced at successfully lending to SMEs.

Research on Multiple Attributes Classification Decision-making Model and Its Application

On the basis of analyzing the flaws of present some multiple attributes classification decision-making methods，to the question of characteristics of the multiple at-tributes classification decision-making and particular emphasis of respective attributes in the decision-making process，as well as its relevance to the decision making environment，the paper firstly formulates an optimal attributes system，then uses the Multiplicative Analytic Hierarchy Process(MAHP)to determine subjective weight coefficients，estimate the objective weight coefficients，establishes the optimal model of the weight coefficients of the whole optimal attributes system，and obtain the weights on ***，the paper presents a decision-making method and gives its detail implementation ***，an example is given to show the feasibility and effectiveness of this method．

Analysis for Influence of Market Information on Firms＇ Optimal Strategies in Multidimensional Bertrand Game

The Bertrand model of two firms' static multidimensional game with incomplete information for two kinds of product with certain substitution is discussed in the paper,and analyzes influences of the firms' forecasting results of total market demands on their optimal strategies according to marxet information. The conclusions are that the more a firm masters market information, the greater differences of forecasted values and expected values of market demands for products have influence upon equilibrium strategies; conversely, the less they have influence upon equilibrium strategies.
