Characterization of SPEEK/Y_2O_3 proton exchange membrane treated with high magnetic field

The membranes of sulfonated poly（etheretherketone） of 48.3% sulfonation degree doped with Y2O3 were prepared, and then treated with parallel high magnetic field of 6 and 12 T at 120 oC for 4 h, respectively. The small-angle X-ray scattering revealed that the struc- ture of the composite membranes would be changed by high magnetic field treatment. The cross-section morphology of the composite membranes by a scanning electron microscope showed that the Y2O3 could be dispersed evenly in the composite membranes which were relatively smooth and compact but formed small conglomeration with increasing Y2O3 content and treating high magnetic field. The water uptake of membranes would be reduced with Y2O3 content increasing, but not be modified by the treatment of high magnetic field. The proton conductivity of membranes would be increased with temperature rising from 20 to 60 oC, and improved under high magnetic field, which could all exceed 10–2 S/cm at 75% relative humidity, but decrease with doping content of Y2O3 from 2 wt.% to 8 wt.%. The methanol permeability of the composite membranes would be decreased with Y2O3 content increasing and slightly reduced after high magnetic field treatment.

The membranes of sulfonated poly(etheretherketone) with 65% sulfonation degree were prepared by doping of Y2O3 and ionic liquids,such as 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazole tetrafluoroborate(EB) or 1-butyl-3-methylimidazole methanesulfonate(BS),*** the properties,including conductivities,water uptake,thermal stability and mechanical properties,of pure SPEEK based proton exchange membrane and SPEEK based proton exchange membranes by doping of ionic liquids and Y2O3 have been studied in the present *** experimental results showed that the conductivity of membranes increased with the temperature increased from 30 to 90 1C,except for that of pure SPEEK membrane increased with increasing temperature from 30 to 70 1C and decreased with increasing temperature from 70 to 90 *** conductivities of SPEEK/EB/Y2O3 and SPEEK/BS/Y2O3 composite membranes at 90 1C were 9.04 10 2 S cm 1 and 1.18 10 1 S cm 1 at 100% relative humidity(RH) and 8.04 10 2 S cm 1 and 1.02 10 1 S cm 1 at 50%RH,*** has been also found that the water uptake and thermal stability of the membranes slightly improved by doping of ionic liquids and *** tensile stress at break at room temperature was 2.61 MPa and 2.33 MPa,for SPEEK/EB/Y2O3 and SPEEK/BS/Y2O3,*** it may be considered that the modification with ionic liquids and Y2O3 is a good potential method for improving the properties of SPEEK proton exchange membrane.

Foreign body reactions induced by macrophages often cause delay or failure of wound healing in the application of tissue engineering *** study explores the application of nanosilver(NAg)to reduce foreign body reactions during scaffold *** NAg hybrid collagen-chitosan scaffold(NAg-CCS)was prepared using the freeze-drying *** NAg-CCS was implanted on the back of rats to evaluate the effects on foreign body *** tissue samples were collected for histological and immunological evaluation at variable *** pigs were used to assess the effects of NAg on skin wound *** wounds were photographed,and tissue samples were collected for molecular biological analysis at different time points ***-CCS has a porous structure and the results showed that it could release NAg constantly for two *** NAg-CCS group rarely developed a foreign body reaction,while the blank-CCS group showed granulomas or necrosis in the subcutaneous grafting *** matrix metalloproteinase-1(MMP-1)and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1)were reduced significantly in the NAg-CCS *** NAg-CCS group had higher interleukin(IL)-10 and lower IL-6 than the blank CCS *** the wound healing study,M1 macrophage activation and inflammatory-related proteins inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),IL-6,and interferon-(IFN-)were inhibited by *** contrast,M2 macrophage activation and proinflammatory proteins(arginase-1),major histocompatibility complex-II(MHC-II),and found in inflammatory zone-1(FIZZ-1)were promoted,and this was responsible for suppressing the foreign body responses and accelerating wound *** conclusion,dermal scaffolds containing NAg suppressed the foreign body reaction by regulating macrophages and the expression of inflammatory cytokines,thereby promoting wound healing.

Continual evolution of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)virus has allowed for its gradual evasion of neutralizing antibodies(nAbs)produced in response to natural infection or *** rapid nature of these changes has incited a need for the development of superior broad nAbs(bnAbs)and/or the rational design of an antibody cocktail that can protect against the mutated virus ***,we report two angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 competing nAbs—8H12 and 3E2—with synergistic neutralization but evaded by some Omicron ***-electron microscopy reveals the two nAbs synergistic neutralizing virus through a rigorous pairing permitted by rearrangement of the 472-489 loop in the receptor-binding domain to avoid steric *** antibodies based on these two nAbs tremendously extend the neutralizing breadth and restore neutralization against recent variants including currently dominant ***,these findings expand our understanding of the potential strategies for the neutralization of SARS-CoV-2 variants toward the design of broad-acting antibody therapeutics and vaccines.

Flue gas and coal bed methane are two important sources of greenhouse *** swing adsorption process has a wide range of application in the field of gas separation,and the selection of adsorbent is *** this regard,in order to assess the better adsorbent for separating CO_(2) from flue gas and CH_(4) from coal bed methane,adsorption isotherms of CO_(2),CH_(4) and N_(2) on activated carbon and carbon molecular sieve are measured at 303.15,318.15 and 333.15 K,and up to 250 *** experimental data fit better with Langmuir 2 compared to Langmuir 3 and Langmuir-Freundlich models,and Clausius-Clapeyron equation was used to calculate the isosteric *** the order of the adsorbed amount and the adsorption heat on the two adsorbents are CO_(2)>CH_(4)>N_(2).The adsorption kinetics are calculated by the pseudo-first kinetic model,and the order of adsorption rates on activated carbon is N_(2)-CH_(4)>CO_(2),while on carbon molecular sieve,it is CO_(2)-N_(2)>CH_(4).It is shown that relative molecular mass and adsorption heat are the primary effect on kinetics for activated carbon,while kinetic diameter is the main resistance factor for carbon molecular ***,the adsorption selectivity of CH_(4)/N_(2) and CO_(2)/N_(2) were estimated with the ideal adsorption solution theory,and carbon molecular sieve performed best at 318.15 K for both CO_(2) and CH_(4) *** study suggested that activated carbon is a better choice for separating flue gas and carbon molecular sieve can be a strong candidate for separating coal bed methane.

This paper presents a quantitative risk analysis of liquefied petroleum gas(LPG)*** accident that happened on June 13,2020,on the highway near wenling,China is studied as a *** this accident,LPG carried by a tank truck on the highway leaked and caused a large explosion,which led to 20 *** methods are combined to calculate the consequence of the ***-energy model and rupture of vessel model are employed to calculate the overpressure;the simulation result of the multi-energy model is closer to the damage caused by the *** safety distances in accidents of LPG transport storage tanks of different capacities are calculated in this study;the results show that the damage of explosion will increase with the filling degree of the *** though the filling degree is 90%(value required by law),the 99%fatality rate range will reach 42 m,which is higher than regulated distance between road and *** social risk of the tank truck has also been calculated and the results show that the risk is not *** calculating method used in this study could evaluate the risk of LPG tanker more accurately,which may contribute to the establishment of transportation regulation so that losses from similar accidents in the future could be reduced.
