A notable feature of a city or region with close economic and social connections with its neighbours is its highly mixed local and external traffic,and in some cases the external traffic volume is almost as high as that of local traffic.Whilst local traffic volume may be largely made up of the same regular local commuters making frequent trips,external traffic from outside of the city(region)may not be the same people making regular trips to/from the city.However,from a large pool of people making infrequent trips to/from the city,the existence of external traffic is proven by data from the licence plate recognition system of road vehicles in Changde,China.The function of value of time correlated with the income/wage rate and trip frequency is exploited and verified statistically.The time value distorted by trip frequency is defined as perceived time value(PTV),which also influences the way travellers perceive any travel impedance such as congestion delay and toll charges.This paper analyses the price of anarchy(POA)when explicitly considering the travel frequency of the trip-makers and their PTV,and compares with previous analysis without considering travel frequency.We show that when travel frequency is considered,the optimal toll of congested road pricing schemes which converts road traffic flow from user equilibrium into system optimization is much lower than that without considering travel frequency.The cost of licence plate auction cannot be treated as a congestion toll,which is only a threshold of vehicle ownership.That travellers choose routes by PTV rather than TV(time value)is proven by an example of Heishipu Bridge in Changsha,Hunan Province,China.

Improper lane-changing behaviours may result in breakdown of traffic flow and the occurrence of various types of collisions.This study investigates lane-changing behaviours of multiple vehicles and the stimulative effect on following drivers in a consecutive lanechanging scenario.The microscopic trajectory data from the HighD dataset are used for driving behaviour analysis.Two discretionary lane-changing vehicle groups constitute a consecutive lane-changing scenario,and not only distance-and speed-related factors but also driving behaviours are taken into account to examine the impacts on the utility of following lane-changing vehicles.A random parameters logit model is developed to capture the driver’s psychological heterogeneity in the consecutive lane-changing situation.Furthermore,a lane-changing utility prediction model is established based on three supervised learning algorithms to detect the improper lane-changing decision.Results indicate that 1)the consecutive lane-changing behaviours have a significant negative effect on the following lane-changing vehicles after lane change;2)the stimulative effect exists in a consecutive lane-change situation and its influence is heterogeneous due to different psychological activities of drivers;and 3)the utility prediction model can be used to detect an improper lane-changing decision.

Clustering filtering is usually a practical method for light detection and ranging(LiDAR)point clouds filtering according to their characteristic attributes.However,the amount of point cloud data is extremely large in practice,making it impossible to cluster point clouds data directly,and the filtering error is also too large.Moreover,many existing filtering algorithms have poor classification results in discontinuous terrain.This article proposes a new fast classification filtering algorithm based on density clustering,which can solve the problem of point clouds classification in discontinuous terrain.Based on the spatial density of LiDAR point clouds,also the features of the ground object point clouds and the terrain point clouds,the point clouds are clustered firstly by their elevations,and then the plane point clouds are selected.Thus the number of samples and feature dimensions of data are reduced.Using the DBSCAN clustering filtering method,the original point clouds are finally divided into noise point clouds,ground object point clouds,and terrain point clouds.The experiment uses 15 sets of data samples provided by the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing(ISPRS),and the results of the proposed algorithm are compared with the other eight classical filtering algorithms.Quantitative and qualitative analysis shows that the proposed algorithm has good applicability in urban areas and rural areas,and is significantly better than other classic filtering algorithms in discontinuous terrain,with a total error of about 10%.The results show that the proposed method is feasible and can be used in different terrains.

In the complex urban road traffic network,a sudden accident leads to rapid congestion in the nearby traffic region,which even makes the local traffic network capacity quickly reduce.Therefore,an efficient monitoring system for abnormal conditions of the urban road network plays a crucial role in the tolerance of the urban road network.The traditional traffic monitoring system not only costs a lot in construction and maintenance,but also may not cover the road network comprehensively,which could not meet the basic needs of traffic management.Only a more comprehensive and intelligent monitoring method is able to identify traffic anomalies more effectively and quickly,so that it can provide more effective support for traffic management decisions.The extensive use of positioning equipment made us able to obtain accurate trajectory data.This paper presents a traffic anomaly monitoring and prediction method based on vehicle trajectory data.This model uses deep learning to detect abnormal trajectory on the traffic road network.The method effectively analyses the abnormal source and potential anomaly to judge the abnormal region,which provides an important reference for the traffic department to take effective traffic control measures.Finally,the paper uses Internet vehicle trajectory data from Chengdu(China)to test and obtains an accurate result.

Flexible Optimal Model and Algorithm for Track Utilization in High-speed Railway Stations

Track utilization is the most important technical operation in high-speed railway stations.It is an effective way to take flexible man-agement based on dispatchers’decision preferences into consideration for making track utilization plans to relieve the influence caused by unmeasurable unstructured factors.Thus,based on the flexible management concept and taking the flexible optimal for track utilization in high-speed railway stations as the object,time and space occupation safety trajectories of arrival routes,departure routes and tracks are all analysed.Then,taking the following constraints into consideration-minimum safety time intervals for var-ious routes and tracks occupation,space-time arc occupation and decision-makers’preferences-a flexible optimal model for track utilization in high-speed railway stations is established to maximize its balance and robustness and to minimize its volatility at the same time.Further,a flexible optimal solution based on a simulated annealing algorithm is designed to make a safety track utilization plan in high-speed railway stations integrating the dispatchers’decision preference.The results from the experiments show that the proposed methodology can effectively make satisfied safety track utilization plans based on decision-makers’preferences,which can improve its balance and robustness level significantly.Meanwhile,its volatility can be reduced as much as possible caused by flexible management based on artificial intervention to ensure the relative stability of the plan.

Bus passengers’anger scale and expression in anger-provoking situations

This paper investigates the scale and expression of passengers’anger arising from disputes between drivers and passengers,and between passengers,by surveying a sample of 757 undergraduate students.The bus passengers’anger scale and expression inventory(BPASX),a newly-designed questionnaire battery,is used to analyse the anger levels and resulting behaviour expression of passengers in 6-item anger-provoking situations.The analysis shows that a positive correlation exists between the frequency or duration of bus rides and anger levels/external anger expression,while self-adaptive expression is only correlated with frequency.Gender differs only in the violent external expression,where males display a greater preference.Meanwhile,the correlations of anger levels between anger-provoking situations are significantly positive.Moreover,anger expression patterns gradually shift from self-adaptation to external expression as anger levels grow in general,but the variation rules of expression frequency are different.Overall,this study provides a newly effective tool to explore characteristics of the anger expression of bus passengers in different anger-provoking scenarios and demonstrates its variation features when anger levels change.

Study on Performance and Microscopic Mechanism of Hydrogen Peroxide Treated Waste Crumb Rubber Modified Asphalt

The application of waste crumb rubber to modified asphalt can not only improve pavement performance， but also make full use of renewable resources， which is of great significance to environmental protection. However， the waste crumb rubber modified asphalt has some disadvantages such as poor storage stability， high viscosity and high construction temperature requirement， which restricts the application of crumb rubber modified asphalt in road engineering. In order to improve the storage stability and construction workability of waste crumb rubber modified asphalt， in this paper hydrogen peroxide is adopted for the surface oxidation treatment of waste crumb rubber， to prepare five kinds of hydrogen peroxide treated waste crumb rubber modified asphalt with waste crumb rubber dosage of 15， 20， 25， 30， and 35% (wt%). The pavement performance was studied by conventional performance tests and rheological properties tests. Then， the microscopic mechanism was studied by scanning electron microscopy， infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. The results show that the waste crumb rubber becomes fluffy and has a richer pore structure on the surface after hydrogen peroxide treatment， which makes it easier for the light components in the asphalt to penetrate into the waste crumb rubber， and thus promotes its dissolution in asphalt， thereby improving the storage stability， workability， and low temperature performance of waste crumb rubber modified asphalt， but reduces the high temperature and elastic properties. At the same time， the surface polarity of activated waste crumb rubber is enhanced， and esterification reaction occurs with carboxyl groups， sulfoxides and acid anhydrides in asphalt， which effectively increases the interface bonding between asphalt and the waste crumb rubber， and further improves the storage stability， workability and low temperature cracking resistance of the waste crumb rubber modified asphalt. Drivers are not far-sighted when they execute lane-changing manipulation.To address this issue,this study proposes a rule to improve vehicles'lane-changing decisions with accurate information of surrounding vehicles(e.***.time headway)-More specifically,connected and autonomous vehicles(CAVs)change lanes in advance if they find severer flow reducing in the lanes,while CAVs should maintain the car-following state if the variations of traffc flow in all lanes have a similar trend.To ilustrate the idea,this study frst calibrates two classic car-following models and a lane-changing model,and then conducts numerical simulations to illustrate the short-sighted decision of drivers.The study incorporates the idea into a lane-changing decision rule by changing the lane-changing model's pa-rameter,and conducts numerical tests to evaluate the effectiveness of the lane-changing decision rule in a multi-lane highway with a bottleneck.The results of this study indicate that the new lane-changing decision rule can substantially improve the throughput of the traffic flow,especially when the inflow exceeds the remaining capacity of the road.The lane-changing rule and results can bring insights into the control of CAVs,as well as the driver assistance system in connected vehicles.

本文采用滑移网格法模拟了时速350 km的高速列车通过350 m标准单线隧道,研究了列车前方不同隧道横截面的压力分布,基于等压力曲面描述了压力波的三维特征和传播机理,并提出了一种新式精确的压力传感器布置方案.研究结果表明,隧道横截面距离列车车头越远,平面压力差异越小.受列车车头和隧道横截面形状的影响,压力波不是简单的平面波,而是在传播过程中复杂变化的球面波.以隧道断面的压力差异小于1 Pa来定义平面波,可发现平面波出现在列车前方16.6 m附近.此外,在70-90 m的隧道断面上,隧道壁面测点和建筑限界测点之间的压力峰峰值差异可达13%,因此应将压力传感器布置在附属设施表面而不是隧道壁面.综上所述,本研究对于理解压力波的形成和传播机理以及指导隧道内压力传感器的科学布置具有重要意义.
