The aim of the current study was to compare between three generations groups of Arab and Jewish male’s attitudes towards filial responsibility. 121 university students, their fathers (116) and their grandfathers (114), answered a self-report questionnaire, which measured filial responsibility attitudes, type of attachment;self-esteem;sense of mastery and, family support. Results revealed ethnicity and religiosity differences as well as between-generations differences regarding filial responsibility. An additional finding brought to light the cross-generational differences in the relationship between the attachment style in adulthood and the attitudes regarding filial responsibility. The most important finding shows that the Arab male, especially in the youngest generation, finds himself in a socio-psychological-internal conflict between tradition and modernization regarding the family norms. Arab society, in attitudes towards filial responsibility, is still traditional in terms of its approach to the institutions of clan and, the men status within the family. Thus, mostly among the elderly Arab Muslims.

It is widely recognized that climate change is one of the greatest challenges humanity faces in the 21st century[1,2].As the leading authority for the assessment of climate change,the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC),in its special report on global warming of 1.5℃,has concluded that human activities have caused approximately 1.0℃ of global warming above preindustrial levels,with a likely increase of 1.5℃ between 2030 and 2052[3].Climate-related risks for natural and human systems are projected to increase with global warming of 1.5℃,and increase further with 2℃ or *** risks depend on the magnitude and rate of warming,geographic location,levels of development and vulnerability,and on the choices and implementation of adaptation and mitigation options.

Matteo Ricci introduced into China the Western theory of soul, a term which he translated as linghun 靈魂.Afterwards, two other Italian Jesuits, Giulio Aleni and Francesco Sambiasi, separately completed two Chinese interpretations of the De Anima (On the Soul), the former privileging the word linghun, and the later, yanima 亞尼舌馬,a transliteration for anima. Xia Dachang 夏大常(Mathias Hsia) is probably the first Chinese person to write specifically on the topic of the soul. However, he used a different term, lingxing 靈,性(human spiritual nature), and also he titled his work "The Theory of Human Nature"("Xingshuo"性說).Xia's work has received little scholarly attention, and this paper aims at investigating how he adopts the Western theory of the soul, why he still uses the concept of lingxing, and which Chinese editions of De Anima or other works written by the Jesuits had influenced him. We shall also see how Xia Dachang uses traditional Chinese sources and Catholic doctrine to support his viewpoint of human nature and how he criticizes theories of human nature within Chinese philosophy. This will enable us to comprehend how Chinese Christians in the Early Qing dynasty understood the theory of the soul and to reflect on the contemporary relevance of this theory in Chinese culture today.

Identifying temperature-sensitive diseases,vulnerable populations and attributable disease burden is crucial for the development and implementation of tailored climate change adaptation strategies in the context of climate change,especially through both mortality and morbidity analysis by using the data from same regions and *** re-analyzed and outlined the whole picture of the impacts of extreme temperatures on both mortality and morbidity among various populations and regions,based on the researches from a well-planned national project of Scientific Survey of Regional Meteorological Sensitive Diseases(SRMSD)with consistent methodology in *** twenty-four representative regions of the SRMSD project cover all eleven geographical meteorological divisions in the country,including urban and rural *** addition to circulatory and respiratory diseases,we found that neurological diseases,injuries,digestive diseases,endocrine diseases,genitourinary diseases,skin and subcutaneous tissue diseases were sensitive to extreme heat,while digestive diseases were sensitive to extreme *** extreme temperature-sensitive diseases and the attributable disease burden varied by *** and the elderly people(65 years old and above)were more vulnerable to extreme heat when using mortality as a health outcome,whereas males and the young and middle-aged adults were more vulnerable to morbidity risk from *** findings provide important scientific evidence for regional distribution of temperature-sensitive diseases and identification of vulnerable populations in *** provides evidence and implications of developing regional heat/cold-exposure intervention policies,especially for hospital emergency departments and ambulance services during hot seasons.

The performance optimization of database systems has been widely studied for years. From the perspective of the operation and maintenance personnel, it mainly includes three topics: prediction, diagnosis,and tuning. The prediction of future performance can guide the adjustment of configurations and *** diagnosis of anomalies can determine the root cause of performance regression. Tuning operations improve performance by adjusting influencing factors, e.g., knobs, indexes, views, resources, and structured query language(SQL) design. In this review, we focus on the performance optimization of database systems and review notable research work on the topics of prediction, diagnosis, and tuning. For prediction, we summarize the techniques, strengths, and limitations of several proposed systems for single and concurrent queries. For diagnosis, we categorize the techniques by the input data, i.e., monitoring metrics, logs, or time metrics, and analyze their abilities. For tuning, we focus on the approaches commonly adopted by the operation and maintenance personnel, i.e., knob tuning, index selection, view materialization, elastic resource, storage management, and SQL antipattern detection. Finally, we discuss some challenges and future work.

Traveling by high-speed rail and railway transportation have become an important part of people’s life and social *** is the basic equipment of railway transportation,and its performance directly affects the service lifetime of railway lines and *** anomaly detection of rail fasteners is in a priority,while the traditional manual method is extremely inefficient and dangerous to ***,this paper introduces efficient computer vision into the railway detection system not only to locate the normal fasteners,but also to recognize the fasteners *** be more specific,this paper mainly studies the rail fastener detection based on improved You can Only Look Once version 5(YOLOv5)network,and completes the real-time classification of fastener *** improved YOLOv5 network proposed contains five sections,which are Input,Backbone,Neck,Head Detector and a read-only Few-shot Example Learning *** main purpose of this project is to improve the detection precision and shorten the detection ***,the rail fastener detection system proposed in this paper is confirmed to be superior to other advanced *** model achieves on-line fastener detection by completing the“sampling-detection-recognition-warning”cycle of a single sample before the next image is ***,the mean average precision of model reaches 94.6%.And the model proposed reaches the speed of 12 ms per image in the deployment environment of NVIDIA GTX1080Ti GPU.

AIM To determine the prevalence of drug and substance abuse among high school students in Jalisco and its association with the severity of health, behavior and psychosocial problems in order to provide evidence for possible prevention and treatment needs. METHODS A multi-stage random sample of Jalisco high school students was given a paper-and-pencil survey based upon an adapted version of the drug use screening inventory(DUSI)(n = 24699; n = 2832). The DUSI showed adequate psychometric characteristics in this population. The statistical analyses accommodated the complex survey design with attention to unequal probability of selection and clustering of participants within schools and regions. RESULTS An estimated 44% of the students had smoked tobacco, one in five students was a current smoker, and one in four students used to smoke but had not smoked for one year or more. By contrast, 6.8% of the students reported having used marijuana, cocaine, or both. Behavioral problems, deviant peer affiliation, and troubled families were independently associated with drug use. One in two students who used tobacco or alcohol had used these drugs in the past year(46% and 54%, respectively), and one in four students who used marijuana or cocaine in their lifetime had used those drugs in the past year(28% in both cases). CONCLUSION The rates of cocaine use as well as the proportion of current users were higher than expected among high school students and indicate changing patterns of drug use in Mexico. These results corroborate that the general trend of drug use by youth in Mexico is increasing. Results from this study help us better understand the needs of at-risk youth and the need for new treatment and prevention strategies.

Climate change with increasing temperature is making a significant impact on human health, including more heat-related diseases, and increasing the burden on the healthcare system. Although many studies have explored the association between increasing temperatures and negative health outcomes, research on the associated costs of heat-related diseases remains relatively sparse. Furthermore, estimations of future costs associated with heat-attributable hospital healthcare have not been well explored. This study used a distributed lag nonlinear model to estimate heat-attributable hospital healthcare costs in Perth, Western Australia. Using 2006–2012 as the baseline, future costings for 2026–2032 and 2046–2052 were estimated under RCP2.6, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5. Higher temperatures were found to be associated with increased hospital healthcare costs. The total hospital costs attributable to heat over the baseline period 2006–2012 was estimated to be 79.5 million AUD, with costs for mental health hospitalizations being the largest contributor of the heat-related conditions examined. Costs are estimated to increase substantially to 125.8–129.1 million AUD in 2026–2032, and 174.1–190.3 million AUD by midcentury under climate change scenarios. Our findings of a notable burden of heat-attributable healthcare costs now and in the future emphasize the importance of climate change adaptation measures to reduce the adverse health effects of increasing temperatures and heat exposure on the people of Perth.

Background Although not universal,active care is being offered to infants weighing<500 g at birth,referred to as ultra-low birth weight(ULBW)infants appropriate for gestational *** infants have the greatest risk of dying or developing major *** infants face challenges related to fluid and heat loss as well as skin injury in the initial days of life from extreme anatomical and physiological immaturity of the *** there is an emerging literature on the outcomes of ULBW infants,there is a paucity of evidence to inform practice guidelines for delivering optimal care to this cohort of *** sources A comprehensive review of the literature was performed using the PubMed and Embase *** keywords included“thermoregulation or body temperature regulation”,“incubator humidity”,“skin care”,“infant,extremely low birth weight”and“ultra-low birth weight infants”.Results Evidences for thermoregulation,incubator humidity,and skincare practices are available for preterm infants weighing<1500 g at birth but not specifically for ULBW *** on thermoregulation,incubator humidity,or skincare practices had a small sample size and did not include a sub-group analysis for ULBW *** practice recommendations in ULBW infants are adopted from research in very and/or extremely low birth weight *** This narrative review focuses on challenges in thermoregulation,incubator humidity,and skincare practices in ULBW infants,highlights current research gaps and suggests potential developments for informing practices for improving health outcomes in ULBW infants.
