Land-population-industry based village evolution and its influencing factors in the upper Tuojiang River

With economic development and urbanization in China,the rural settlements have experienced great *** explore the evolution process of rural settlements in terms of land,population and industry can reveal the development law of rural spatial distribution,population structure and industrial economy in different stages and *** the development status and evolution characteristics of villages in the upper Tuojiang River basin in Southwest China in the past 20 years are of significant *** upper Tuojiang River basin includes the main types of terrain found in the Southwest region:mountainous,plains,and hills,exhibiting a certain typicality of geographical *** study took towns and townships at the town-level scale as the basic unit of research,and constructed an evaluation system for village evolution based on'land,population,and industry'.It employed Criteria Importance Through Inter-Criteria Correlation(CRITIC)analysis to examine the characteristics of village evolution in the area from 2000 to 2020,and used geographic detector analysis to identify the leading factors affecting village *** results show that:(1)From 2000 to 2010,villages in the upper Tuojiang River basin experienced significant changes,and the pace of these transformations slowed from 2010 to 2020.(2)From a comprehensive perspective,from 2000 to 2020,villages in hilly areas show a decline,while villages in plain areas near the city center show a positive urbanization development.(3)Road accessibility and distance from the city center are the main factors that explain the spatial differentiation of village evolution degree in the study *** study elucidates the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of villages in the upper Tuojiang River basin and identifies the primary factors contributing to their changes,which will provide a reference for investigating the development of rural areas in different terrains of Southwest China.

Semi-automated detection of rangeland runoff and erosion control berms using high-resolution topography data

An inventory of topographic modifications is essential to addressing their impacts on hydrological and morphological processes in human-altered ***,such inventories are generally *** study presents two workflows for semi-automatic detection of linear earthen runoff and erosion control berms in rangelands using high-resolution topographic *** workflows consist of initial object identification by applying either morphological grayscale reconstruction(MGR)or the Geomorphon(GEO)method,followed by identification refinements through filters based on objects’horizontal and vertical *** sites were selected within the Altar Valley,Arizona,in the southwestern United *** site was used for developing workflows and optimizing filter thresholds,and the other two sites were used to validate *** results showed that:1)The MGR-based workflow methodology could produce final precision and detection rates of up to 92%and 75%,respectively,and take less than 5 s for a 10.1 km^(2) site;2)The workflow based on the MGR method yielded greater identification accuracy than did the GEO workflow;3)Object length,orientation,and eccentricity were important characteristics for identifying earthen berms,and are sensitive to general channel flow direction and berm shape;4)Manual interrogation of topographic data and imagery can significantly improve identification precision *** proposed workflows will be useful for developing inventories of runoff and erosion control structures in support of sustainable rangeland management.

Factors controlling the metal fertilization of granitic magma: Constraints from amphibole and biotite geochemistry of the Shangcheng pluton， Dabie orogen， Central China

It is very common for similar granitoids to be emplaced in the same tectonic region， with some being metal-fertilized while others are barren. The reasons for this are still not clear. Here， we take the Shangcheng pluton as an example. This pluton occurs close to the giant Shapinggou porphyry Mo deposit， and we use amphibole and biotite geochemistry as sensitive tracers to explore this issue. The Shangcheng granitoids comprise the Sigudun （SGD） and Shiguwa （SGW） units， with emplacement ages ranging from 140 ± 3 Ma to 134 ± 2.4 Ma， as revealed by titanite U-Pb dating. The geochemical data of amphibole and biotite indicate that the magma intruded from depths of ～3.3 km to ～2.3 km with increasing oxygen fugacity. The modeled results indicate that water content is an essential factor for metal fertilization， as the Shangcheng pluton has a lower water content than the Shapinggou Mo-bearing granite. The Shangcheng pluton is also characterized by fluorine-poor conditions， with lower halogen fugacity values of IV（F） and log (f H2O/f HF)fluid. In contrast， the increasing Y/Ho and Nb/Ta ratios of the Shapinggou Mo-bearing granite indicate the F-rich nature of the fertilized Shapinggou magma， and its lower Zr/Hf and K/Rb ratios suggest a greater magma differentiation. Therefore， water-poor and F-poor magma， in combination with low-degree fractional crystallization， may be the major controlling factors responsible for the Mo-barren nature of the Shangcheng pluton.

The deformation structure of soft sediments has always been a research hotspot,which is of great significance for analyzing the tectonic and sedimentary evolution background of a basin,as well as the physical properties of *** studies have reported that a large number of soft sediment deformation structures are developed in the western part of Liaohe *** this study,through core observation and thin section identification,various types of deformation structures are identified in the core samples which are collected from the upper Es4 in the Leijia region,western sag of Liaohe depression,such as liquefied dikes,liquefied breccia,convoluted laminae,annular bedding,synsedimentary faults,vein structures,*** on the characteristics of core structure,single well profile and continuous well profile,combined with the regional background,this study clarifies that the deformation structure of soft sediments in the study area is mainly caused by seismic *** is found that the permeability and porosity of deformation layers in the study area are higher than those of the undeformation layers,which proves that the deformation structure of soft sediments has a good effect on improving the physical properties of reservoirs.

Thermal decomposition mechanism and kinetics of bastnaesite in suspension roasting process:A comparative study in N2 and air atmospheres

To investigate the thermal decomposition behavior and reaction kinetics of bastnaesite in suspension roasting,the gas and solid products of bastnaesite roasted in N2 and air atmospheres were examined using a gas analyzer,X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy（SEM）,and energy dispersive spectrometry（EDS）.Subsequently,the kinetic parameters of bastnaesite in the suspension roasting process were derived and calculated using the isothermal *** results show that the decomposition product of bastnaesite in N2is ***,once the roasting temperature exceeds 600℃,CO is generated in addition to CO2,and all the XRD diffraction peaks of CeOF are shifted to the right,indicating that CO2can oxidize CeOF and lead to the transformation of Ce（Ⅲ） into Ce（Ⅳ）.When roasted in air,the decomposition product CeOF can be completely converted to CeF3 and Ce7O12as it easily ***,the reaction rate of bastnaesite in air is higher than that of N2,and the starting reaction temperature is lower than that of N2.A large number of irregular cracks and holes appear on the surface of solid-phase products following suspension roasting,which are due to the thermal decomposition of bastnaesite that produces CO2as well as the reconstruction of the lattice of the solid-phase *** reaction kinetic model of bastnaesite roasted in N2（temperature range 600-750℃） and air（temperatu re range 500-575℃） confo rms to the A3/2model with the mechanism function G（α）=-ln（1-α）2/3,and the reaction activation energy is 59.78 kj/mol and lnA is 1.65 s-1in *** air,the reaction activation energy is 100.30 kj/mol and lnA is 9.63 s-1.

The genesis and resource potential of gold deposits in the Liaodong Peninsula

Plenty of gold deposits related to Late Mesozoic craton destruction are widely distributed in eastern North China Craton. However, significant differences in research degrees, ore-forming characteristics, and proven reserves exist among different regions in the North China Craton. The Liaodong Peninsula has similar regional geological characteristics to those of the Jiaodong Peninsula, with both experiencing craton destruction during Late Mesozoic, but the two areas have substantial differences in terms of gold mineralization and the proven gold resources. Based on regional geology, Mesozoic magmatictectonic evolution and ore geology, combined with integrated geophysical exploration and big data AI resource prediction, in this paper, we propose that the ore-forming materials of Late Mesozoic gold deposits in Liaodong were mainly originated from mantle-derived melts and/or fluids induced by craton destruction. The gold deposits were primarily controlled by NE-NNEtrending faults, mainly classified as fracture-controlled altered rock-type and sulfide-bearing quartz vein-type. Moreover, our study predicts that the Yalu River fault zone and its related secondary faults, as well as the periphery and deeper parts of known goldfields, are the important regions for future gold resource exploration. The Yalu River metallogenic belt has an enormous potential for gold resources, and the Liaodong Peninsula has a potential to add thousands of tons of gold resources.

Earth vitality:An integrated framework for tracking Earth sustainability

The Anthropocene era is characterized by the escalating impact of human activities on the environment,as well as the increasingly complex interactions among various components of the Earth *** factors greatly affect the Earth's evolutionary *** notable strides in sustainable development practices worldwide,it remains unclear to what extent we have achieved Earth ***,there is a pressing need to enhance conceptual and methodological frameworks to measure sustainability progress *** address this need,we developed an Earth Vitality Framework that aids in tracking the Earth sustainability progress by considering interactions between spheres,recognizing the equal relationship between humans and nature,and presenting a threshold scheme for all *** applied this framework at global and national scales to demonstrate its *** findings reveal that the current Earth Vitality Index is 63.74,indicating that the Earth is in a"weak"*** social institutions,unsatisfactory life experiences and the poor state of the biosphere and hydrosphere have remarkably affected the Earth ***,inequality exists between high-income and low-income *** most of the former exhibit poor human-nature interaction,all of them enjoy good human well-being,while the opposite is true for the ***,we summarize the challenges and possible options for enhancing the Earth vitality in terms of coping with spillover effects,tipping cascades,feedback,and heterogeneity.

Correlation and Pathway Analysis of the Carbon,Nitrogen,and Phosphorus in Soil-Microorganism-Plant with Main Quality Components of Tea(Camellia sinensis)

The contents of carbon(C),nitrogen(N),and phosphorus(P)in soil-microorganisms-plant signiﬁcantly affect tea quality by altering the main quality components of tea,such as tea polyphenols,amino acids,and ***,few studies have quantiﬁed the effects of these factors on the main quality components of *** study aimed to explore the interactions of C,N,and P in soil-microorganisms-plants and the effects of these factors on the main quality components of tea by using the path analysis *** results indicated that(1)The contents of C,N,and P in soil,microorganisms,and tea plants were highly correlated and collinear,and showed signiﬁcant correlations with the main quality components of tea.(2)Optimal regression equations were established to esti-mate tea polyphenol,amino acid,catechin,caffeine,and water extract content based on C,N,and P contents in soil,microorganisms,and tea plants(R^(2)=0.923,0.726,0.954,0.848,and 0.883,respectively).(3)Pathway analysis showed that microbial biomass phosphorus(MBP),root phosphorus,branch nitrogen,and microbial biomass carbon(MBC)were the largest direct impact factors on tea polyphenol,catechin,water extracts,amino acid,and caffeine content,*** carbon,root phosphorus,and leaf nitrogen were the largest indirect impact factors on tea polyphenol,catechin,and water extract content,*** carbon indirectly affected tea polyphenol content mainly by altering MBP *** phosphorus indirectly affected catechin content mainly by altering soil organic carbon *** nitrogen indirectly affected water extract content mainly by altering branch nitrogen *** research results provide the scientiﬁc basis for reasonable fertilization in tea gardens and tea quality improvement.

Recovering rare earths,lithium and fluorine from rare earth molten salt electrolytic slag using sub-molten salt method

Viewing the problem of high ene rgy consumption in the process of recovering rare earths from rare earth molten salt electrolysis slag,an environmentally friendly and low carbon process by sub-molten salt decomposition was *** thermodynamic analysis of sub-molten salt reaction indicates that the recovery of rare earths from the slag using sub-molten salt medium is thermodynamically *** this process,the rare earth fluoride and lithium in the slag are almost transformed into rare earth hydroxide,sodium fluoride and lithium hydroxide,fluorine and lithium are transferred into the washing solution,and the rare earths in the residues can be leached into solution by acid *** the optimum reaction conditions of reaction temperature 200℃,reaction time 3 h,NaOH initial concentration 80%,NaOH-Slag mass ratio 3:1,the leaching efficiency of rare earths,fluorine and lithium can reach to 99.05%,98.23% and 99.22%.After evaporation,the fluorine and lithium in the washing solution can be obtained in the forms of sodium fluoride and lithium fluoride,the recovery efficiency reach 95.5%and 92.8%,*** RE oxides(99.53%) can be obtained from the leaching solution after precipitation and roasting.
