The detection and disclosure of secondary findings(SFs)is a preventive strategy for medically-actionable hereditary health conditions.Some countries have guidelines on management and disclosure of SFs,while others avoid detection and disclosure of SFs.This study is a review of clinical guidelines from six countries and the European Union to identify similarities and differences among SF guidelines.Evidence from this review supports harmonization of guidelines across countries to promote broad international collaborations on genomics and to benefit precision medicine.This study can serve as a reference for development of SF management guidelines in China by contributing evidence from other countries to the ethical and methodological challenges under debate.

Disability,stemming from heredity,chronic illness or injury,constitutes a global public health concern,a human rights matter,and a significant obstacle for social development.In recent years,China has acknowledged the significance of disability prevention and control as an integral aspect of its health strategy,aiming to enhance the overall quality of life for its citizens.However,the evolving landscape of disability epidemiology remains inadequately understood,which substantially hinders precise prevention and control strategies and the optimization of resource distribution.Consequently,there is an urgent necessity for research that provides solid scientific evidence to effectively address this pressing issue.

Over the past three years,China has implemented rapid,vigorous,and coordinated control measures to limit the spread of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)effectively.These measures include active containment,graded management,rational resource allocation,rapid contact tracing and disposal,and targeted vaccination of key populations.These efforts have contributed to the prompt and effective control of outbreaks,protecting the health and well-being of older adults.This review provides a comprehensive summary of the changes in China’s COVID-19 prevention and control experiences and other public health measures since the outbreak of the pandemic,and assesses their impact on older adults.It may serve as a valuable reference for future epidemic prevention and control efforts.

population aging has become a global concern in population development.Challenges to good health in older ages are more complex than at any other age and require a comprehensive framework to move the science of aging and health forward.In this paper,we describe an advanced and evolving conceptual framework that includes definitions,goals,disciplines,and a scope of human aging omics(HAO)based on theories and methods of omics science.The development of HAO will bring a paradigm shift in research related to aging and health by systematic identification,characterization,and quantification of all sets of health conditions and their complex relationships with the internal biomolecules and the external environment in the whole aging process of human beings from birth to death throughout the lifespan.

Summary What is already known about this topic?Limited evidence on healthy longevity was provided in the world,and no studies investigated the fractions of healthy longevity attributed to modifiable factors.What is added by this report?Incidences of longevity and healthy longevity in China are provided.It reveals that the total weighted population attributable fractions for lifestyles and all modifiable factors were 32.8% and 83.7% for longevity,respectively,and 30.4% and 73.4% for healthy longevity,respectively.What are the implications for public health practice?China has a high potential for longevity and healthy longevity.Strategies may be targeted at education and residence in early life as well as healthy lifestyles,disease prevention,and functional optimization in late life.
