Impact of Adverse Events Associated With Acitretin Treatment of Moderate-to-Severe Plaque Psoriasis:Based on an Observational,Single-Center Study in Shanghai,China

Objective:Acitretin is a widely used systemic retinoid that is to treat psoriasis but has significant variations in efficacy and adverse events(AEs)among *** study aimed to determine the impact of AEs associated with acitretin treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis on the Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI)and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)***:This prospective,observational,single-center study was conducted from March 2021 to June 2022 and analyzed 116 patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis treated with acitretin who were followed up for 12 *** primary outcome was the incidence of AEs related to acitretin,and the secondary objective was to investigate the effect of AEs on the DLQI and HADS *** generalized linear models were used to assess the association between AEs related to acitretin and DLQI scores or HADS scores,and the association between the involved system/tissue and DLQI scores or HADS ***:A final total of 45 patients were included in the analysis,and a total of 157 treatment-related AEs involving nine organs or systems were reported in 41 *** most common AE was skin-or mucosa-related,with 72 cumulative events in 31 *** also commonly affected the endocrine,digestive,and genitourinary *** with the group with 0-2 AEs,the group with 3-5 AEs had a significantly increased DLQI score by 5.49 points(95%CI,1.47-9.51)(P=0.0089).Compared with AEs involving 0 to 1 system,AEs affecting 2 to 3 systems resulted in a significant increase in the DLQI score by 5.75 points(95%CI,1.67-9.83)(P=0.0071).Generalized linear models showed no statistically significant associations between AEs and the HADS ***:Our study demonstrates a high incidence of acitretin-related *** AEs may affect quality of life but rarely cause psychological problems such as anxiety and depression.

Prognostic significance of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio in pancreatic cancer: A meta-analysis

AIM:To conduct a meta-analysis evaluating theassociation between the peripheral blood neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and the outcome of patients with pancreatic ***:Studies evaluating the relationship between the peripheral blood NLR and outcome of patients with pancreatic cancer published up to May 2014 were searched using electronic databases, including Pub Med, Web of Science, Embase and Ovid.A meta-analysis was performed to pool the hazard ratios(HRs) or odds ratios(ORs) and their 95% confidence intervals(CIs) using either a fixed-effects model or a random-effects model to quantitatively assess the prognostic value of NLR and its association with clinicopathological ***:Eleven studies containing a total of 1804 patients were eligible according to our selection criteria, and combined hazard ratios indicated that high NLR was a poor prognostic marker for pancreatic cancer patients because it had an unfavorable impact on the overall survival(OS)(HR =2.61, 95%CI:1.68-4.06, P =0.000) and cancer specific survival(HR =1.66, 95%CI:1.08-2.57, P =0.021).Subgroup analysis revealed that high NLR was associated with poor OS in patients with mixed treatment(HR =4.36, 95%CI:2.50-7.61, P =0.000), chemotherapy(HR =2.08, 95%CI:1.49-2.9, P =0.000), or surgical resection(HR =1.2, 95%CI:1.00-1.44, P =0.048).Additionally, high NLR was significantly correlated with tumor metastasis(OR =1.69, 95%CI:1.10-2.59, P =0.016), poor tumor differentiation(OR =2.75, 95%CI:1.19-6.36, P =0.016), poor performance status(OR =2.56, 95%CI:1.63-4.03, P =0.000), high cancer antigen 199(OR =2.62, 95%CI:1.49-4.60, P =0.000), high C-reactive protein(OR =4.32, 95%CI:2.71-6.87, P =0.000), and low albumin(OR =3.56, 95%CI:1.37-9.27, P =0.009).CONCLUSION:High peripheral blood NLR suggested a poor prognosis for patients with pancreatic cancer,and it could be a novel marker of survival evaluation and could help clinicians develop therapeutic strategies for pancreatic cancer patients

Comparisons of Oil Production Predicting Models

Feasibility of oil production predicting results influences the annual planning and long-term field development plan of oil field, so the selection of predicting models plays a core role. In this paper, three different predicting models are introduced, they are neural network model, support vector machine model and GM (1, 1) model. By using these three different models to predict the oil production in XINJIANG oilfield in China, advantages and disadvantages of these models have been discussed. The predicting results show: the fitting accuracy by the neural network model or by the support vector machine model is higher than GM (1, 1) model, the prediction error is smaller than 10%, so neural network model and support vector machine model can be used to short-term forecast of oil production;predicting accuracy by GM (1, 1) model is not good, but the curve trend with GM (1, 1) model is consistent with the downward trend in oil production, so GM (1, 1) predicting model can be used to long-term prediction of oil production.

Effects of increasing the degree of building height asymmetry on ventilation and pollutant dispersion within street canyons

Rational urban design helps to build sustainable cities with high ventilation capacity and pollutant removal ca-pacity,but the effect of building height on ventilation and pollutant dispersion inside asymmetric canyons has not been fully *** this paper,we studied the effect of increasing the degree of building height asym-metry(DBHA)on canyon ventilation and pollutant diffusion in shallow and deep asymmetric street canyons by considering six different building height ratios(BHR=3/4,1/2,1/3,4/3,2/1 and 3/1).The results show that increasing the DBHA in asymmetric canyons can improve the ventilation and pollutant removal *** step-up canyons,increasing the downwind building height is very useful to improve ventilation and pollutant *** shallow/deep step-up canyons with BHR=1/3,the air exchange rate(ACH)increased to 211.2%and 380.1%of the flat canyons,*** spatially-average pollutant concentration in the pedestrian zones(leeward Kavg∗ang windward Kavg∗)decreases significantly with the increase of DBHA,especially for the deep step-up canyon with BHR=1/3,the leeward Kavg∗and windward Kavg∗decrease to 15.3%and 3%,***,increasing the upwind building height can also improve the ventilation capacity in the step-down *** the deep step-down canyon with BHR=3/1,the leeward Kavg∗and windward Kavg∗decreased to 40.6%and 24.1%of the deep flat canyon,***,the ventilation capacity is very low for step-down canyons with BHR=4/3,and for step-down canyons with BHR≥2/1,the ventilation capacity and pollutant removal capacity increase significantly with the increase of ***,in urban planning,step-down canyons with BHR=4/3 should be avoided and designed to satisfy the condition of BHR≥2/*** findings will be a valuable reference for urban designers to build sustainable cities with high ventilation capacity.

Optimizing protected areas to boost the conservation of key protected wildlife in China

To meet the challenge of biodiversity loss and reach the targets of the proposed Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework,the Chinese government updated the list of national key protected wildlife in 2021 and has been continually expanding the protected areas(PAs).However,the status of protected wildlife in PAs remains *** this study,we conducted a national assessment of the status of protected wildlife and suggested an optimization plan to overcome these *** 1988 to 2021,the number of protected species almost doubled,and the area of PAs increased by 2.4 times,covering over 92.8%of the protected ***,some protected species have less than 10%of their habitat included in *** the significant addition of amphibians and reptiles to the latest protection list,they are the fewest species and are the least covered by PAs compared with birds and *** fix these gaps,we systematically optimized the current PAs network by adding another 10.0%of China’s land area as PAs,which resulted in 37.6%coverage of protected species’habitats in *** addition,26 priority areas were *** research aimed to identify gaps in current conservation policies and suggest optimization solutions to facilitate wildlife conservation planning in *** general,updating the list of key protected wildlife species and systematically optimizing PA networks are essential and applicable to other countries facing biodiversity loss.

In the scenario of tracking the target in vast sea areas by the unmanned surface vessel, a new target tracking method is proposed by combining the pure pursuit method, the improved interfered fluid dynamic system, and model predictive ***, the second-order response model and the steering gear model of the unmanned surface vessel are established. Then, to complete the task of tracking the moving target while avoiding static or dynamic obstacles, adaptive parameters are introduced into the traditional interfered fluid dynamic system. Furthermore, the improved algorithm is combined with the pure pursuit method to plan a collision-free path. Finally, the external disturbances suffered by the unmanned surface vessel are simplified as disturbances at the steering gear, and a disturbance observer is introduced based on model predictive control to improve the antidisturbance ability of the system. Numerical simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Modeling for UAV resource scheduling under mission synchronization

Unmanned aerial vehicle（UAV） resource scheduling means to allocate and aggregate the available UAV resources depending on the mission requirements and the battlefield situation *** previous studies,the models cannot reflect the mission synchronization;the targets are treated respectively,which results in the large scale of the problem and high computational *** overcome these disadvantages,a model for UAV resource scheduling under mission synchronization is proposed,which is based on single-objective non-linear integer *** several cooperative teams are aggregated for the target clusters from the available *** evaluation indices of weapon allocation are referenced in establishing the objective function and the constraints for the *** scales of the target clusters are considered as the constraints for the scales of the cooperative teams to make them match in *** functions of the intersection between the ＂mission time-window＂ and the UAV ＂arrival time-window＂ are introduced into the objective function and the constraints in order to describe the mission synchronization *** results demonstrate that the proposed expanded model can meet the requirement of mission synchronization,guide the aggregation of cooperative teams for the target clusters and control the scale of the problem effectively.

Toxicological effects of PBDEs on carassius aurats

In this study the effects of polybrominated diphenyl ether compounds (PBDEs), BDE-47 and BDE-99 on carassius aurats were discussed. The reproductive capacity viability and proliferation percent decreased with in-creasing BDE-47and BDE-99 concentrations (p<0.05), presenting a dose-dependent manner. Physiological bio-markers such as cholesterol (CHL), acetylcholinesterase (AChE), ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD) and vitamin were studied to reveal the toxicological effects of BDE-47 and BDE-99 exposure. CHL levels generally decrease with increasing BDE-47 exposure. However, there were no significant differences between the samples and the con-trol. As to BDE-99, the CHL level decreased as compared with the control level when the BDE-99 concentrations reached 20 μg/L (p<0.05). The degree of inhibition of the AChE increased with the increase of DE-47and BDE-99 concentrations. The EROD activity during 72 hours' exposure significantly increased to 20 μg/L for BDE-47 (p<0.05), however, EROD activity was not significantly different at different concentrations of BDE-99 (p<0.05). Carassius aurats hepatocytes reacted to the BDE-47 exposure with increasing EROD activities in the dose depend-ent manner. Although at lower concentrations, the induced effects of BDE-47 and BDE-99 were not significantly different, though BDE-47 showed strong induced effects on the EROD activity with increasing concentrations in carassius aurats hepatocytes. In contrast, BDE-99 did not influence EROD activity consistently. The VA level of carassius aurats was significantly different from that of the controls for BDE-99 (p<0.001), as far as the VA level was significantly lower of carassius aurats than the controls for BDE-47 (p<0.001). CHL, AChE, EROD, and VA levels in carassius aurats were differently affected by BDE-47 and BDE-99 exposures, therefore, they would be good indicators for exposure.

To handle the path planning problem of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) meeting numerous obstacles in complicated environments, an improved moth-flame optimization(MFO) algorithm with periodic and Gaussian mutations(PGMFO) is proposed. For PGMFO, firstly, moths are able to jump out of local optima and better their position by means of periodic ***, the Gaussian mutation is used to select the optimal flame in each iteration can improve the development capability of MFO. Finally, PGMFO is contrasted with other 9 optimization algorithms using 23 test problems. According to the findings,PGMFO performs faster and more accurately during convergence in the majority of optimization issues. In addition, in the generation of benchmark scenes in real digital elevation model maps, PGMFO is used to solve the optimization problem of feasible and safe operation requirements and constraints for UAVs. The results show that the validity of the PGMFO.
