In this paper,we consider the parallel-machine customer order scheduling with delivery time and submodular rejection *** this problem,we are given m dedicated machines in parallel and n customer *** order has a delivery time and consists of m product types and each product type should be manufactured on a dedicated *** order is either rejected,in which case a rejection penalty has to be paid,or accepted and manufactured on the m dedicated *** objective is to find a solution to minimize the sum of the maximum delivery completion time of the accepted orders and the penalty of the rejected orders which is determined by a submodular *** design an LP rounding algorithm with approximation ratio of n+1 for this problem.

Phenological research is engaged in monitoring the infuence of climate change on the natural *** International Phenological Gardens(IPG)network provides a valuable dataset of standardized tree phenology records dating back to the mid-20th *** make best use of this actively growing record,it is important to investigate how network data can be applied to predict the timing of phenological events in natural *** study compared clonally propagated IPG downy birch(Betula pubescens Ehrh.)and hazel(Corylus avellana L.)specimens of central European provenance to nearby wild populations at the western-most margin of the IPG network,in the south-west of *** addition to monitoring by trained scientists,observations by citizen scientists were *** order of the timing of phenological events among sites was consistent across 2 years,confrming reproducibility of the *** trees had the earliest *** leaf unfolding and *** fowering dates of the sites *** addition,leaf unfolding occurred later in the wild populations than expected from the temperature responses of the *** and *** IPG *** variation in phenology also exceeded the historical change observed at the IPG site,suggesting a potential genetic basis for climate *** circumference,refecting the age-dependent increase in tree size,was found to infuence *** phenology,with earlier timing of phenological events in larger *** fnding highlights tree size as an important consideration in the management of phenological gardens and tree phenology research in general.

Food Waste(FW)is a pressing environmental concern that affects every country *** one-third of the food that is produced ends up as waste,contributing to the carbon ***,the FW must be properly treated to reduce environmental *** study evaluates a few available Food Waste Treatment(FWT)technologies,such as anaerobic digestion,composting,landfill,and incineration,which are widely used.A Bipolar Picture Fuzzy Set(BPFS)is proposed to deal with the ambiguity and uncertainty that arise when converting a real-world problem to a mathematical model.A novel Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation-Stable Preference Ordering Towards Ideal Solution(CRITIC-SPOTIS)approach is developed to objectively analyze FWT selection based on thirteen criteria covering the industry’s technical,environmental,and entrepreneurial *** CRITIC method is used for the objective analysis of the importance of each criterion in FWT *** SPOTIS method is adopted to rank the alternative hassle-free,following the *** proposed model offers a rank reversal-free model,i.e.,the rank of the alternatives remains unaffected even after the addition or removal of an *** addition,comparative and sensitivity analyses are performed to ensure the reliability and robustness of the proposed model and to validate the proposed result.

To improve the usefulness of audit opinions,on 23 March 2021,the China Securities Regulatory Commission mandated that auditors disclose overall quantitative materiality of consolidated financial statements in special explanations of modified audit *** paper selects Chinese A-share companies issued with modified audit opinions for the period of 2020-2022 as the research sample and analyzes the assessment of materiality in audit practice and the informativeness of audit *** findings are as follows.(1)The most commonly used bases for materiality by auditors are profit and income,with considerable differences in the percentages applied to the different bases and variations even within the same base.(2)The higher the materiality amount,the poorer the audit *** negative correlation is mainly observed in scenarios where the audited companies engage in downward earnings management and where the competency of audit firms or auditors is relatively low.(3)Companies that disclose quantitative materiality in the special explanations of modified audit opinions have a lower earnings response coefficient than companies that do not disclose audit *** research sheds light on the“black box”of the audit process and verifies the information value of audit *** conclusions are of significant value to auditing standard-setters,investors and regulators.

Prediction of the burden of road traffic injuries in Iran by 2030: Prevalence, death,and disability-adjusted life years

Purpose:Road traffic accidents pose a global challenge with substantial human and economic *** a high incidence of road traffic injuries,leading to a significant burden on *** studyaims to predict the future burden of road traffic injuries in Iran until 2030,providing valuable insights forpolicy-making and interventions to improve road safety and reduce the associated human and ***:This analytical study utilized time series models,specifically autoregressive integrated movingaverage(ARIMA)and artificial neural networks(ANNs),to predict the burden of road traffic accidents byanalyzing past data to identify patterns and trends in Iran until *** required data related toprevalence,death,and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)rates were collected from the Institute forHealth Metrics and Evaluation database and analyzed using R software and relevant modeling andstatistical analysis ***:Both prediction models,ARIMA and ANNs indicate that the prevalence rates(per 100,000)of allroad traffic injuries,except for motorcyclist road injuries which have an almost flat trend,remaining ataround 430,increase by *** on estimations of both models,the rates of death and DALYs due tomotor vehicle and pedestrian road traffic injuries *** motor vehicle road injuries,estimatedtrends decrease to approximately 520 DALYs and 10 ***,for pedestrian road injuries these ratesreached approximately 300 DALYs and 6 deaths,according to the *** cyclists and other roadtraffic injuries,the predicted DALY rates by the ANN model increase to almost 50 and 8,while predictionsconducted by the ARIMA model show a static trend,remaining at 40 and approximately ***,these rates for the prediction of death rate by the ANN model increased to 0.6 and 0.1,while predictionsconducted by the ARIMA model show a static trend,remaining at 0.43 and *** to the ANNmodel,the predicted rates of DALY and death for m

Tibetan singing bowls emit low-frequency sounds and produce perceptible harmonic tones and vibrations through manual *** sounds the singing bowls produce have been shown to enhance relaxation and reduce ***,the underlying mechanism remains *** this study,we used chronic restraint stress or sleep deprivation to establish mouse models of anxiety that exhibit anxiety-like *** then supplied treatment with singing bowls in a bottomless cage placed on the top of a *** found that unlike in humans,the combination of harmonic tones and vibrations did not improve anxietylike behaviors in mice,while individual vibration components ***,the vibration of singing bowls increased the level of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 1 in the somatosensory cortex and prefrontal cortex of the mice,decreased the level ofγ-aminobutyric acid A(GABA)receptorα1 subtype,reduced the level of CaMKII in the prefrontal cortex,and increased the number of GABAergic *** the same time,electrophysiological tests showed that the vibration of singing bowls significantly reduced the abnormal low-frequency gamma oscillation peak frequency in the medial prefrontal cortex caused by stress restraint pressure and sleep *** from this study indicate that the vibration of singing bowls can alleviate anxiety-like behaviors by reducing abnormal molecular and electrophysiological events in somatosensory and medial prefrontal cortex.

Joint observations of the large-scale ULF wave activity from space to ground associated with the solar wind dynamic pressure enhancement

This study reports the rare ultralow-frequency(ULF) wave activity associated with the solar wind dynamic pressure enhancement that was successively observed by the GOES-17(Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite) in the magnetosphere, the CSES(China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite) in the ionosphere, and the THEMIS ground-based observatories(GBO) GAKO and EAGL in the Earth's polar region during the main phase of an intense storm on 4 November 2021. Along with the enhanced-pressure solar wind moving tailward, the geomagnetic field structure experienced a large-scale change. From dawn/dusk sides to midnight, the GAKO, EAGL, and GOES-17 sequentially observed the ULF waves in a frequency range of0.04–0.36 Hz at L shells of ~5.07, 6.29, and 5.67, respectively. CSES also observed the ULF wave event with the same frequency ranges at wide L-shells of 2.52–6.22 in the nightside ionosphere. The analysis results show that the ULF waves at ionospheric altitude were mixed toroidal-poloidal mode waves. Comparing the ULF waves observed in different regions, we infer that the nightside ULF waves were directly or indirectly excited by the solar wind dynamic pressure increase: in the area of L-shells~2.52–6.29, the magnetic field line resonances(FLRs) driven by the solar wind dynamic pressure increase is an essential excitation source;on the other hand, around L~3.29, the ULF waves can also be excited by the outward expansion of the plasmapause owing to the decrease of the magnetospheric convection, and in the region of L-shells ~5.19–6.29, the ULF waves are also likely excited by the ion cyclotron instabilities driven by the solar wind dynamic pressure increase.
