Global health education in Chinese universities and potential for collaboration with schools of nursing: A qualitative study

Evaluating the feasibility and preliminary effects of an online compassion training program for nursing students:A pilot randomized controlled trial

Objectives:This study aimed to assess the feasibility of an online compassion training program for nursing students and preliminarily investigate its effects on mindfulness,self-compassion,and stress ***:This study employed a randomized controlled trial ***-year students from a nursing college in Guangzhou,China,were recruited as research participants in August *** intervention group participated in an 8-week online compassion training program via the WeChat platform,comprising three stages:mindfulness(weeks 1e2),self-compassion(weeks 3e5),and compassion for others(weeks 6 e8).Each stage included four activities:psychoeducation,mindfulness practice,weekly diary,and emotional *** feasibility was assessed through recruitment and retention rates,program engagement,and participant *** effectiveness was measured with the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale,Self-Compassion Scale-Short Form,and Perceived Stress ***:A total of 28 students completed the study(13 in the intervention group,15 in the control group).The recruitment rate was 36.46%,with a high retention rate of 93.3%.Participants demonstrated high engagement:69.2%accessed learning materials every 1e2 days,93.3%practiced mindfulness at least weekly,with an average of 4.69 diary entries submitted per person and 23.30 WeChat interactions with *** acceptability,all participants expressed satisfaction with the program,with 92.4%finding it“very helpful”or“extremely helpful.”In terms of intervention effects,the intervention group showed a significant increase in mindfulness levels from pre-intervention(51.54±10.93)to postintervention(62.46±13.58)(P<0.05),while no significant change was observed in the control *** there were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in post-intervention self-compassion and perceived stress levels,the intervention group showed positive trends:selfcompassion levels increase

Constipation is a common community health *** are many factors that are widely thought to be associated with constipation but real-world evidence of these associations is difficult to *** potential risk factors may be categorised as demographic,lifestyle and health-related *** review presents the available evidence for each factor by an assessment of quantitative data from cross-sectional studies of community-dwelling adults published over the last 30 *** appears that there is evidence of an association between constipation and female gender,residential location,physical activity and some health-related factors such as self-rated health,some surgery,certain medical conditions and certain *** available evidence for most other factors is either conflicting or ***,further research is necessary to determine if each factor is truly associated with constipation and whether it can be regarded as a potential risk *** is recommended that studies investigating a broad range of factors are conducted in populations in community *** analyses should be performed to account for all possible confounding *** this way,valuable evidence can be accumulated for a better understanding of potential risk factors for constipation in the community.

Background:Globally,there is a high demand for nurses,resulting in migration from low‑to high‑income *** emigration of nurses is the act of leaving one's own country to settle permanently in another country,leading to a shortage in the number of nurses in their home ***,this study aims to assess the impact of the emigration of nurses on the health‑care delivery system in *** and Methods:A descriptive cross‑sectional survey was conducted with a stratified sampling technique to select 270 nurses from three selected hospitals in Benin‑city Edo state.A self‑structured questionnaire with open and Likert scale questions were used as an instrument to assess the Impact of the Emigration of nurses on the health Care Delivery *** collected were analyzed using tables,percentages,means,standard deviation and t‑***:The result showed a mean score of 1.59±0.92 impacts of the emigration of nurses on health‑care delivery system and identified how to reduce *** study also showed that there is no significant difference between gender and reason for emigration among nurses(t=3.84,P≤0.001).Conclusion:The emigration of nurses is severely affecting the health care delivery system in the ***,the nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria gave the directive for training schools to increase their training capacity and number of students’intake to cushion the effect,and this study shows that this palliative can only be a short time measure,and however will encourage more nurses traveling abroad on the long ***,the hospital managers and government should provide a conducive working environment,better remuneration,attractive retirement benefit,and other incentives as a push in factor for nurses to stay back in their home countries.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDY AND MODELING OF PRESSURE LOSS FOR FOAM-CUTTINGS MIXTURE FLOW IN HORIZONTAL PIPE

In this study, we first sought to elucidate foam rheology to describe foam flow behavior, and then to experimentally investigate the pressure losses for both foam and foam-cuttings flow in a horizontal pipe by considering both varied foam qualities of 80%, 85% and 90% and foam velocities. Also, a two-layer numerical model to predict pressure loss was developed based on experimental observations of cuttings behavior. Results show that the foam behaves like a power-law fluid. Furthermore, and the pressure loss significantly increases as foam velocity increases, while the delivered cuttings concentration dramatically decreases. Moreover, results indicate that both the pressure loss and the delivered cuttings concentration increase with foam quality. Comparisons between the experimental results and numerical model predictions show satisfactory agreement.

The sexually dimorphic expression of glutamate transporters and their implication in pain after spinal cord injury

Fear of Cancer Recurrence in Women with Gynecological Cancer:A Systematic Review
