In this paper, we consider the distributed generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE) seeking problem in strongly monotone games. The transmission among players is implemented through a digital communication network with limited bandwidth. For improving communication efficiency or/and security, an event-triggered coding-decoding-based communication is first proposed, where the data(decision variable) are first mapped to a series of finite-level codewords and, only when an event condition is satisfied, then sent to the neighboring agents. Moreover, a distributed communication-efficient GNE seeking algorithm is constructed accordingly,and the overrelaxation scheme is further taken into consideration. Through primal-dual analysis, the proposed algorithm is proven to converge to a variational GNE with fixed step-sizes by recasting it as an inexact forward-backward iteration. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the benefit of the proposed algorithms in terms of saving communication resources.

MXene stands out as a rising family of transition metal carbides/nitrides with exceptional size-dependent properties and versatile potential applications. However, the realization of large MXene with a controllable surface at atomic level remains challenging to keep the balance among the conductivity, stability and activity. Herein, the horizontal oscillation-induced delamination（HOD）strategy is proposed to acquire Ti3C2flakes with large size and low Ti–Ti coordination（HO-Ti3C2）. The average size of the asobtained flakes can reach 6.48 μm to keep the overall conductive skeleton and merits from large size. Simultaneously, metal atoms at surface can be partially removed due to the enhanced local vibrational turbulence during the reciprocating horizontal oscillation process. Such MXenes with clear and unique surface states exhibit high potentials in ion adsorption together with satisfied electric conductivity and stability. As proof of concept, HO-Ti3C2anode exhibits remarkable rate capability and longterm stability during sodium storage. A capacity of 100.5 m Ah g-1with a long-life cycle（4,500 cycles） at a high rate of 1.0 A g-1originates from the increased s-d interaction between Na and Ti. Therefore, the HOD strategy provides a controllable surface design to promote the clear criteria into size-dependent research on MXene.

Taxonomic dependency and spatial heterogeneity in assembly mechanisms of bacteria across complex coastal waters

Background Understanding community assembly mechanisms across taxa and space is fundamental for microbial ecology. However, the variability and determinants of assembly processes over taxa and space remain unclear. Here, we investigated taxonomic dependency and spatial heterogeneity in bacterial assembly mechanisms across coastal waters in the East China Sea using neutral and null models with customized visualization *** Overall, bacterial assembly mechanisms varied across broad taxonomic groups(phyla and proteobacterial classes) and space at the regional scale. A determinism–stochasticity balanced mechanism governed total bacterial assembly, while taxonomic dependency existed in assembly mechanisms and ecological processes. Among community ecological features, niche breadth and negative-to-positive cohesion ratio were strongly associated with the determinism-to-stochasticity ratio of bacterial groups. Bacterial assembly mechanisms commonly exhibited spatial heterogeneity, the extent and determinants of which varied across taxonomic groups. Spatial assembly of total bacteria was directly driven by many environmental factors and potential interactions between taxa, but not directly by geographic factors. Overall, the bacterial groups with higher spatial heterogeneity in assembly mechanisms were more related to environmental and/or geographic factors(except Bacteroidetes), while those with lower heterogeneity were more related to ecological *** Our results confirm the pervasiveness of taxonomic dependency and spatial heterogeneity in bacterial assembly, providing a finer understanding about regulation across complex coastal waters.

Treponema is a Gram-negative anaerobic bacterium,among which the pathogenic Treponema can cause various diseases,such as venereal syphilis(Treponema pallidum),yaws(Treponema carateum),and oral diseases(Treponema denticola and Treponema medium).Although different from conventional lipopolysaccharides,the extracellular glycoconjugate of Treponema may still be a potential antigen and provide a candidate for vaccine ***,we completed the first chemical synthesis of Treponema medium ATCC 700293 tetrasaccharide precursor containing L-ornithine(L-Orn)and D-aspartic acid(D-Asp)*** efficiency of non-reducing end disaccharide formation has been improved by optimizing the assembly of the protecting groups in the donors and ***[3+1]glycosylation strategy attempted to reduce the length of the acceptor to increase the nucleophilicity of the hydroxyl group,thereby improving the efficiency of synthesizing the target *** L-Orn derivative was introduced at the final stage due to its influence on the glycosylation stereospecificity and ***,the successful introduction of two amino acid derivatives and the synthesis of a tetrasaccharide precursor with complex functional-group modifications have provided valuable insights for synthesizing other complex bacterial glycans.

We study the exceptional-point(EP) structure and the associated quantum dynamics in a system consisting of a non-Hermitian qubit and a Hermitian qubit. We find that the system possesses two sets of EPs, which divide the systemparameter space into PT-symmetry unbroken, partially broken and fully broken regimes, each with distinct quantumdynamics characteristics. Particularly, in the partially broken regime, while the PT-symmetry is generally broken in the whole four-dimensional Hilbert space, it is preserved in a two-dimensional subspace such that the quantum dynamics in the subspace are similar to those in the PT-symmetry unbroken regime. In addition, we reveal that the competition between the inter-qubit coupling and the intra-qubit driving gives rise to a complex pattern in the EP variation with system parameters.

A heat transfer model for liquid film boiling on micro-structured surfaces

High heat transfer coefficient(HTC) and critical heat flux(CHF) are achieved in liquid film boiling by coupling vibrant vapor bubbles with a capillary liquid film, which has thus received increased interest for thermal management of high-power electronics. Although some experimental progress has been made, a high-fidelity heat transfer model for liquid film boiling is lacking. This work develops a thermal-hydrodynamic model by considering both evaporation atop the wick and nucleate boiling inside the wick to simultaneously predict the HTC and CHF. Nucleate boiling is modeled with microlayer evaporation theory, where a unified scaling factor is defined to characterize the change of microlayer area with heat flux. The scaling factor η is found to be independent of wicking structure and can be determined from a few measurements. This makes our model universal to predict the liquid film boiling heat transfer for various micro-structured surfaces including micropillar, micropowder, and micromesh. This work not only sheds light on understanding fundamental mechanisms of phase-change heat transfer, but also provides a tool for designing micro-structured surfaces in thermal management.

With the increasing emergence of bacterial infections,especially multidrug-resistant(MDR)bacteria,poses an urgent *** study demonstrated a novel multifunctional nanotheranostics platform developed by the strategic integration of both in-situ bio-assembly imaging and target bacteria *** the introduction of copper ions into bacteria,the Cu^(2+)could spontaneously bio-selfassembled into a multifunctional copper nanoclusters(NCs)which efficiently enhanced epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)uptake into *** visualizing the bacteria,the developed theranostic nanoplatform exhibited highly efficient disinfection activities with negligible side effects as reflected by higher cell viability and insignificant hemolytic ***,the exosomal formulation of EGCG integrated with Cu^(2+)showed an increased intracellular antibacterial activity,which could eliminate most of the methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)phagocytosed by macrophages,guide macrophages toward M2-like phenotype polarization and alleviate inflammation,without exhibiting obvious cytotoxicity on host *** regimen could be viewed as an effective strategy for the sterilization of intractable bacterial infections.

Kagome metals exhibit rich quantum states by the intertwining of lattice,charge,orbital and spin degrees of ***,a novel charge density wave(CDW)ground state was discovered in kagome magnet FeGe and was revealed to be driven by lowering magnetic energy via large ***,based on DFTcalculations,we show that such mechanism will yield infinitely many metastable CDWs in FeGe due to different ways to arrange the Ge1-dimerization in enlarged ***,utilizing these metastable CDWs,innumerable polymorphs of kagome magnet LiFe_(6)Ge_(6) can be stabilized by filling Li atoms in the voids right above/below the dimerized Ge1-sites in the CDW *** polymorphs are very stable due to the presence of magnetic-energy-saving mechanism,in sharp contrast to the non-magnetic“166”kagome *** this way,a one-to-one mapping of the metastable CDWs of FeGe to stable polymorphs of LiFe_(6)Ge_(6) is *** one hand,the fingerprints of these metastable CDWs,i.e.,the induced in-plane atomic distortions and band gaps,are encoded into the corresponding stable polymorphs of LiFe_(6)Ge_(6),such that further study of their properties becomes *** the other hand,such innumerable polymorphs of LiFe_(6)Ge_(6) offer great degrees of freedom to explore the rich physics of magnetic kagome *** thus reveal a novel connection between the unusually abundant CDWs and structural polymorphism in magnetic kagome materials,and establish a new route to obtain structural polymorphism on top of CDW states.
