Using an islanded microgrid(MG)with large-scale integration of renewable energy is the most popular way of solving the reliable power supply problem for remote areas and critical electrical users.However,compared with traditional power systems,the limited spinning reserves and network communication bandwidth may cause weak frequency stability in the presence of stochastic renewable active outputs and load demand fluctuations.In this paper,an adap-tive event-triggered control(ETC)strategy for a load frequency control(LFC)system in an islanded MG is proposed.First,a bounded adaptive event-triggered communication scheme is designed.This not only saves on network resources,but also ensures that the control center has a sensitive monitoring ability for the MG operating status when the frequency deviations have been effectively damped.Secondly,by fully considering the spinning reserve con-straints and uncertain communication delays,the LFC system is described as a nonlinear model with saturation terms.Design criteria for ETC parameters are strictly deduced based on Lyapunov stability theory.Finally,an ETC parameter optimization algorithm based on random direction search is developed to reconcile the bandwidth occupancy and control performance.The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified in an MG test system.

An economic dispatch problem for power system with wind power is discussed.Using discrete scenario to describe uncertain wind powers,a threshold is given to identify bad scenario set.The bad-scenario-set robust economic dispatch model is established to minimize the total penalties on bad scenarios.A specialized hybrid particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is developed through hybridizing simulated annealing(SA)operators.The SA operators are performed according to a scenario-oriented adaptive search rule in a neighborhood which is constructed based on the unit commitment constraints.Finally,an experiment is conducted.The computational results show that the developed algorithm outperforms the existing algorithms.

Dear Editor,The health management of battery supply chain(SC)is vital to battery-related industry.This letter focuses on the study of health management of battery SC under disruptions.First,a discrete-time model of battery SC is developed based on the actual industrial process.Then,a model predictive control-based change management(MPCCM)strategy is proposed to ensure stable manufacturing of batteries.Moreover,the effects of disruption are also considered in terms of the actual situation.Finally,the validity of the proposed strategy is verified by a case study in Dongsheng Electronics Co.,Ltd.

Dear Editor,In this letter,a novel memory-based scheduling protocol(MBSP)is investigated for networked control systems(NCSs)under bandwidth constraint and stochastic denial-of-service(DoS)attacks.First,considering the bandwidth constraint and that multiple sensors'channels may be attacked,a novel memory-based scheduling protocol is proposed to alleviate the pressure of signal transmission.

This paper concerns the problem of object segmentation in real-time for picking system. A region proposal method inspired by human glance based on the convolutional neural network is proposed to select promising regions, allowing more processing is reserved only for these regions. The speed of object segmentation is significantly improved by the region proposal method.By the combination of the region proposal method based on the convolutional neural network and superpixel method, the category and location information can be used to segment objects and image redundancy is significantly reduced. The processing time is reduced considerably by this to achieve the real time. Experiments show that the proposed method can segment the interested target object in real time on an ordinary laptop.

This paper proposes a robust optimization framework generally for scheduling systems subject to uncertain input data, which is described by discrete scenarios. The goal of robust optimization is to hedge against the risk of system performance degradation on a set of bad scenarios while maintaining an excellent expected system performance. The robustness is evaluated by a penalty function on the bad-scenario set. The bad-scenario set is identified for current solution by a threshold, which is restricted on a reasonable-value interval. The robust optimization framework is formulated by an optimization problem with two conflicting objectives. One objective is to minimize the reasonable value of threshold, and another is to minimize the measured penalty on the bad-scenario set. An approximate solution framework with two dependent stages is developed to surrogate the biobjective robust optimization problem. The approximation degree of the surrogate framework is analyzed. Finally, the proposed bad-scenario-set robust optimization framework is applied to a scenario job-shop scheduling system. An extensive computational experiment was conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness and the approximation degree of the framework. The computational results testified that the robust optimization framework can provide multiple selections of robust solutions for the decision maker. The robust scheduling framework studied in this paper can provide a unique paradigm for formulating and solving robust discrete optimization problems.

In this paper,a bioinspired path planning approach for mobile robots is proposed.The approach is based on the sparrow search algorithm,which is an intelligent optimization algorithm inspired by the group wisdom,foraging,and anti-predation behaviors of sparrows.To obtain high-quality paths and fast convergence,an improved sparrow search algorithm is proposed with three new strategies.First,a linear path strategy is proposed,which can transform the polyline in the corner of the path into a smooth line,to enable the robot to reach the goal faster.Then,a new neighborhood search strategy is used to improve the fitness value of the global optimal individual,and a new position update function is used to speed up the convergence.Finally,a new multi-index comprehensive evaluation method is designed to evaluate these algorithms.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a shorter path and faster convergence than other state-ofthe-art studies.

In this paper, we propose multi-characteristics based data scheduling over smart grid. Three different pricing strategies are presented based on user priority and load rate. Then the corresponding novel scheduling algorithms are introduced by the proposed data priority and pricing strategies. The simulation experiments are carried out to evaluate the proposed algorithms based on trace data. And the results show that our methods can outperform the conventional method.
