With the advent of the 5G era and the rise of the Internet of Things,various sensors have received unprecedented attention,especially wearable and stretchable sensors in the healthcare ***,a stretchable,self-healable,self-adhesive,and room-temperature oxygen sensor with excellent repeatability,a full concentration detection range(0-100%),low theoretical limit of detection(5.7 ppm),high sensitivity(0.2%/ppm),good linearity,excellent temperature,and humidity tolerances is fabricated by using polyacrylamide-chitosan(PAM-CS)double network(DN)organohydrogel as a novel transducing *** PAM-CS DN organohydrogel is transformed from the PAM-CS composite hydrogel using a facile soaking and solvent replacement *** with the pristine hydrogel,the DN organohydrogel displays greatly enhanced mechanical strength,moisture retention,freezing resistance,and sensitivity to ***,applying the tensile strain improves both the sensitivity and response speed of the organohydrogel-based oxygen ***,the response to the same concentration of oxygen before and after self-healing is basically the ***,we propose an electrochemical reaction mechanism to explain the positive current shift of the oxygen sensor and corroborate this sensing mechanism through rationally designed *** organohydrogel oxygen sensor is used to monitor human respiration in real-time,verifying the feasibility of its practical *** work provides ideas for fabricating more stretchable,self-healable,self-adhesive,and high-performance gas sensors using ion-conducting organohydrogels.

Impact of Rare Earth Element La on Microstructure and Hot Crack Resistance of ADC12 Alloy

The impact of rare earth element La on the microstructure and hot crack resistance of ADC12 alloy was analyzed. The additive amount of La was 0%, 0.3 wt%, 0.6 wt% and 0.9 wt%, respectively. The results showed that, with the increase of the additive amount from 0% to 0.6 wt%, the grain shape of α-Al gradually varied from developed dendritic crystal into fine dendritic crystal, equiaxed crystal and spheroidal crystal; eutectic silicon varied from needle-like or tabular shape into fine rod like shape; the hot crack force of the alloy also gradually decreased. However, when the additive amount of La reached 0.9 wt%, the excessive amount of rare earth elements was segregated within grain boundary area, forming intermetallic compounds. Therefore, the grain size of α-Al, eutectic silicon and the hot crack force of the alloy all increased. In the case that the additive amount of La reached 0.6 wt%, the best metamorphism effect and most excellent hot cracking resistance capacity of alloy were presented. The poisoning effect of rare earth element on eutectic silicon and the constitutional supercooling caused by rare earth element were the major causes for alloy modification, alloy refinement, and the main reasons for the increased hot cracking resistance.

Pain sensation may appear under long-lasting mechanical stimulation. Although people have the experience that pain sensation generally decreases with time while the stimulation remains, the underlying mechanism remains elusive. We experimentally studied the thermal and strain rate- dependent viscoelastic behavior of skin in uniaxial stretch and numerically investigated the effects of temperature and strain rate on pain sensation. The results indicate that the viscosity of skin tissue decreases with increasing temperature and reducing strain rate, which subsequently decreases the discharge frequency of skin nociceptor and thus relieves the pain sensation. The results would contribute to the understanding of pain relief mechanism and optimizing for mechanical treatment.

A study on simultaneous removal of NO and SO2 by using sodium persulfate aqueous scrubbing

Nitric oxide （NO） removal and sulfur dioxide （SO2） removal by sodium persulfate （Na2S2O8） were studied in a Bubble Column Reactor. The proposed reaction pathways of NO and SO2 removal are discussed. The effects of temperatures （35-90℃）, Na25208 （0.05-0.5 mol·L-1）, FeSO4 （0.5-5.0 m mol·L-1） and H2O2 （0.25 mol·L-1） on NO and SO2 removal were investigated. The results indicated that increased persulfate concentration led to increase in NO removal at various temperatures. SO2 was almost completely removed in the temperature range of 55-85 ℃. Fe2 ＋ accelerated persulfate activation and enhanced NO removal efficiency. At 0.2 mol· L- 1 Na2S2O8 and 0.5-1.0 mmol· L-1Fe2 ＋, NO removal of 93.5%-99% was obtained at 75-90 ℃, SO2 removal was higher than 99% at all temperatures. The addition of 0.25 mol. L i H202 into 0.2 mol·L-1· Na2S2O8 solution promoted NO removal efficiency apparently until utterly decomposition of H2O2, the SO2 removal was as high as 98.4% separately at 35 ℃ and 80 ℃.

Laser Cladding Fe-Al-Cr Coating with Enhanced mechanical Properties

Dense Fe-Al-Cr coatings with approximately 50 μm in thickness are successfully prepared on the 1045 carbon steel substrates via a laser cladding process. Proper Cr content(5 at% Cr) will lead to decrease in the melting point, and improves the viscosity of the liquid and the nucleation rate of the molten pool, leading to refining grains of the solidification structure. As a result, the Fe-29 Al-5 Cr laser cladding layer exhibits the best hardness, plasticity properties, and wear resistance at 400 °C. Excessive Cr for the Fe-29 Al-7.5 Cr coating leads to the formation of Cr2 Al in the grain boundaries and thermal vacancies during the solidification process, resulting in inferior mechanical properties and poor tribological behavior.

Local Data Analysis for Eliminating End Restraint of Triaxial Specimen

A data processing method was proposed for eliminating the end restraint in triaxial tests of soil. A digital image processing method was used to calculate the local deformations and local stresses for any region on the surface of triaxial soil specimens. The principle and implementation of this digital image processing method were introduced as well as the calculation method for local mechanical properties of soil specimens. Comparisons were made between the test results calculated by the data from both the entire specimen and local regions, and it was found that the deformations were more uniform in the middle region compared with the entire specimen. In order to quantify the nonuniform characteristic of deformation, the non-uniformity coefficients of strain were defined and calculated. Traditional and end-lubricated triaxial tests were conducted under the same condition to investigate the effects of using local region data for deformation calculation on eliminating the end restraint of specimens. After the statistical analysis of all test results, it was concluded that for the tested soil specimen with the size of 39.1 mm × 80 ram, the utilization of the middle 35 mm region of traditional specimens in data processing had a better effect on eliminating end restraint compared with end lubrication. Furthermore, the local data analysis in this paper was validated through the comparisons with the test results from other researchers.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)are widely used in electric vehicles and consumer electronics and require reliable recycling *** this paper,we investigated how an ultrafast carbothermal shock treatment can be used to convert spent cathodes of LIBs(LiNi_(0.8)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.1)O_(2))into Ni/Ni-Mn-Co-O(N/NMCO)composites with a remarkable electrocatalytic performance toward oxygen evolution,oxygen reduction,and hydrogen evolution *** converted spent cathodes can be employed as cathodes and anodes in an overall water-splitting system,and they displayed a low overpotential of 1.61 V and remarkable stability at different current ***,N/NMCO electrodes can be used as cathodes in rechargeable Zn-air batteries,which displayed long-term stability(>30 h),high specific capacity(781 mA h g^(-1))and peak power density(137 mW cm^(-2)),as well as a small charge/discharge voltage gap of 0.71 ***,our study offers a“waste-to-treasure”strategy for the regeneration of spent cathodes of LIBs and their applications in other advanced energy storage and conversion technologies.
