The truncated singular value decomposition has been widely used in many areas of science including engineering,and statistics,*** this paper,the original truncated complex singular value decomposition problem is formulated as a Riemannian optimiza-tion problem on a product of two complex Stiefel manifolds,a practical algorithm based on the generic Riemannian trust-region method of Absil et *** presented to solve the underlying problem,which enjoys the global convergence and local superlinear conver-gence *** experiments are provided to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed *** with some classical Riemannian gradient-type methods,the existing Riemannian version of limited-memory BFGS algorithms in the MATLAB toolbox Manopt and the Riemannian manifold optimization library ROPTLIB,and some latest infeasible methods for solving manifold optimization problems,are also provided to show the merits of the proposed approach.

Prescribed-time stabilization and inverse optimal control of stochastic high-order nonlinear systems

This paper investigates the prescribed-time state-feedback stabilization and prescribed-time inverse optimality problems for stochastic high-order nonlinear systems. First, a time-varying controller is designed by developing scaled quartic Lyapunov functions, which can guarantee that the system has a unique strong solution almost surely on the prescribed interval for any system initial conditions and that the states and the control converge to the origin in a mean-square form within the prescribed time. Then, the controller is redesigned to address the problem of prescribed-time inverse optimal mean-square stabilization. Finally,a concrete example is provided to confirm the efficiency of the proposed design schemes.

This paper is devoted to understanding the stability of perturbations around the hydrostatic equilibrium of the Boussinesq system in order to gain insight into certain atmospheric and oceanographic *** Boussinesq system focused on here is anisotropic,and involves only horizontal dissipation and thermal *** the 2D case R^(2),due to the lack of vertical dissipation,the stability and large-time behavior problems have remained open in a Sobolev *** the spatial domain T×R,this paper solves the stability problem and gives the precise large-time behavior of the *** decomposing the velocity u and temperatureθinto the horizontal average(ū,θ)and the corresponding oscillation(ū,θ),we can derive the global stability in H~2 and the exponential decay of(ū,θ)to zero in H^(1).Moreover,we also obtain that(ū_(2),θ)decays exponentially to zero in H^(1),and thatū_(1)decays exponentially toū_(1)(∞)in H^(1)as well;this reflects a strongly stratified phenomenon of buoyancy-driven *** addition,we establish the global stability in H^(3)for the 3D case R^(3).

A two-dimensional panel in subsonic flow with stochastic excitation is studied by assuming that the aerodynamic pressure contains random pressure *** on the global properties,the sensitivities of system parameters and noise intensities are ***,the parameter region with multiple coexisting attractors under different dynamic pressures is *** is found that the coexistence of multiple attractors extensively appears and the basin structure may be *** the periodic time history diagrams are calculated by simulating the random pressure fluctuation as Poisson white *** results show that under typical bistable conditions,the noise sensitivity of the subsonic panel system is related to the basin structures and the disposition of the coexisting attractors to the *** transition between two attractors diffuses along the unstable manifold and tends to the position where the basin boundary curvature is relatively *** findings underscore the importance of global analysis in assessing the noise load carrying capacity,which provides some valuable insights into the safety design of subsonic panel systems.

Investigating the elliptic anisotropy of identified particles in p-Pb collisions with a multi-phase transport model

The elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient(v_(2))of the identified particles at midrapidity(|η|<0.8)was investigated in p-Pb collisions at√s_(NN)=5.02 TeV using a multi-phase transport model(AMPT).The calculations of differential v_(2)based on the advanced flow extraction method of light flavor hadrons(pions,kaons,protons,andΛ)in small collision systems were extended to a wider transverse momentum(p_(T))range of up to 8 GeV/c for the first *** string-melting version of the AMPT model provides a good description of the measured p_(T)-differential v_(2)of the mesons but exhibits a slight deviation from the baryon v_(2).In addition,we observed the features of mass ordering at low p_(T)and the approximate number-of-constituentquark(NCQ)scaling at intermediate p_(T).Moreover,we demonstrate that hadronic rescattering does not have a significant impact on v_(2)in p-Pb collisions for different centrality selections,whereas partonic scattering dominates in generating the elliptic anisotropy of the final *** study provides further insight into the origin of collective-like behavior in small collision systems and has referential value for future measurements of azimuthal anisotropy.

Kriging Model Averaging Based on Leave-One-Out Cross-Validation Method

In recent years, Kriging model has gained wide popularity in various fields such as space geology, econometrics, and computer experiments. As a result, research on this model has *** this paper, the authors propose a model averaging estimation based on the best linear unbiased prediction of Kriging model and the leave-one-out cross-validation method, with consideration for the model uncertainty. The authors present a weight selection criterion for the model averaging estimation and provide two theoretical justifications for the proposed method. First, the estimated weight based on the proposed criterion is asymptotically optimal in achieving the lowest possible prediction ***, the proposed method asymptotically assigns all weights to the correctly specified models when the candidate model set includes these models. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through numerical analyses.
