Observation of topological charge transformations in acoustic vortex using passive periodic systems

Vortex transmutation utilizes a periodic system, which not only enables the alteration of the topological charge(TC) of unstable input vortices but also facilitates their transformation into stable structures. This approach is crucial for investigating the characteristics of vortices in various wave systems. Here, we achieve acoustic vortex TC transmutation by employing a welldesigned dual-structured plate external system(DPES). The interactions between the acoustic vortex and the finite-order discrete rotational symmetry lead to the transformation of its topological charge when complete rotational symmetry is broken to Nthorder discrete symmetry. Our results experimentally demonstrate the acoustic vortex TC transmutation based on passive artificial structures, enabling numerous applications in particle manipulation and information multiplexing as well as advancing our understanding and control over free-space acoustic vortices.

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

We study the well-posedness and decay properties of a one-dimensional thermoelastic laminated beam system either with or without structural damping,of which the heat conduction is given by Fourier's law effective in the rotation angle *** show that the system is well-posed by using the Lumer-Philips theorem,and prove that the system is exponentially stable if and only if the wave speeds are equal,by using the perturbed energy method and Gearhart-Herbst-Prüss-Huang ***-more,we show that the system with structural damping is polynomially stable provided that the wave speeds are not equal,by using the second-order energy *** the speeds are not equal,whether the system without structural damping may has polynomial stability is left as an open problem.

This study addresses long-time behavior for a thermoelastic microbeam problem with time delay and the Coleman-Gurtin thermal law,the convolution kernel of which entails an extremely weak dissipation in the thermal *** using the semigroup theory,we first establish the existence of global weak and strong solutions as well as their continuous dependence on the initial data in appropriate function spaces,under suitable assumptions on the weight of time delay term,the external force term and the nonlinear *** then prove that the system is quasi-stable and has a gradient on bounded variant sets,and obtain the existence of a global attractor whose fractal dimension is finite.A result on the exponential attractor of the system is also proved.

Let Λ be an Artin algebra and let Gprj-Λ denote the class of all the finitely generated Gorenstein projective Λ-modules. In this paper, we study the components of the stable Auslander-Reiten quiver of a certain subcategory of the monomorphism category S(Gprj-Λ) containing boundary vertices. We describe the shape of such components. It is shown that certain components are linked to the orbits of an auto-equivalence on the stable category Gprj. In particular, for the finite components, we show that under certain mild conditions,their cardinalities are divisible by 3. We see that this three-periodicity phenomenon reoccurs several times in the paper.

In this paper, an optimization model is proposed to simulate and predict the current situation of smog. The model takes the interval grey number sequence with the known possibility function as the original data, and constructs a time-delay nonlinear multivariable grey model MGM based on the new kernel and degree of greyness sequences considering its time-delay and nonlinearity. The time-delay parameter is determined by the maximum value of the grey time-delay absolute correlation degree, and the nonlinear parameter is determined by the minimum value of average relative error. In order to verify the feasibility of the model, this paper uses the smog related data of nanjing city for simulation and prediction. Compared with the other four models, the new model has higher simulation and prediction accuracy.
