Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreve rsible blindness wo rldwide,and previous studies have shown that,in addition to affecting the eyes,it also causes abnormalities in the ***,it is not yet clear how the primary visual cortex(v1)is altered in *** study used DBA/2J mice as a model for spontaneous secondary *** aim of the study was to compare the electrophysiological and histomorphological chara cteristics of neurons in the v1between 9-month-old DBA/2J mice and age-matched c57BL/6J *** conducted single-unit recordings in the v1 of light-anesthetized mice to measure the visually induced responses,including single-unit spiking and gamma band *** morphology of layerⅡ/Ⅲneurons was determined by neuronal nuclear antigen staining and Nissl staining of brain tissue ***-seven neurons from eight DBA/2J mice and eighty-one neurons from eight c57BL/6J mice were *** with the c57BL/6J group,v1 neurons in the DBA/2J group exhibited weaker visual tuning and impaired spatial *** r,fewer neuro ns were observed in the v1 of DBA/2J mice compared with c57BL/6J *** findings suggest that DBA/2J mice have fewer neurons in the vI compared with c57BL/6J mice,and that these neurons have impaired visual *** findings provide a better understanding of the pathological changes that occur in v1 neuron function and morphology in the DBA/2J mouse *** study might offer some innovative perspectives regarding the treatment of glaucoma.

Wide-bandgap(>1.7 ev)perovskites suffer from severe light-induced phase segregation due to high bromine content,causing irreversible damage to devices ***,the strategies of suppressing photoinduced phase segregation and related mechanisms have not been fully ***,we report a new passivation agent 4-aminotetrahydrothiopyran hydrochloride(4-ATpHcl)with multifunctional groups for the interface treatment of a 1.77-ev wide-bandgap perovskite film.4-ATpH^(+)impeded halogen ion migration by anchoring on the perovskite surface,leading to the inhibition of phase segregation and thus the passivation of defects,which is ascribed to the interaction of 4-ATpH^(+)with perovskite and the formation of low-dimensional ***,the champion device achieved an efficiency of 19.32%with an open-circuit voltage(v_(Oc))of 1.314 v and a fill factor of 83.32%.Moreover,4-ATpHcl modified device exhibited significant improved stability as compared with control *** target device maintained 80%of its initial efficiency after 519 h of maximum power output(MPP)tracking under 1 sun illumination,however,the control device showed a rapid decrease in efficiency after 267 ***,an efficiency of 27.38%of the champion 4-terminal all-perovskite tandem solar cell was achieved by mechanically stacking this wide-bandgap top subcell with a 1.25-ev low-bandgap perovskite bottom subcell.

In the field of traffic sign recognition,traffic signs usually occupy very small areas in the input *** object detection algorithms directly reduce the original image to a specific size for the input model during the detection process,which leads to the loss of small object ***-tionally,classification tasks are more sensitive to information loss than local-ization *** paper proposes a novel traffic sign recognition approach,in which a lightweight pre-locator network and a refined classification network are *** pre-locator network locates the sub-regions of the traffic signs from the original image,and the refined classification network performs the refinement recognition task in the ***,an innovative module(named SPP-ST)is proposed,which combines the Spatial Pyramid Pool module(SPP)and the Swin-Transformer module as a new feature extractor to learn the special spatial information of traffic sign *** results show that the proposed method is superior to the state-of-the-art methods(82.1 mAP achieved on 218 categories in the TT100k dataset,an improvement of 19.7 percentage points compared to the previous method).Moreover,both the result analysis and the output visualizations further demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed *** source code and datasets of this work are available at https://***/DijiesitelaQ/TSOD.

The location ofγ-ray emission of blazars remains a contested topic,inspiring the development of numerous investigative techniques to address this *** this work,we analyzed Fermiγ-ray light curves in the Gev and Mev bands,employing the discrete cross-correlation function method to discern time lags between the two *** 4c+21.35,Ton 599,B21420+32,and PKS 1510-089,we identified a time lag spanning several days,while for PKS 1441+25,the time lag was not statistically *** results imply that the soft photons necessary for inverse compton scattering predominantly originate from the dusty torus in the first four sources,whereas for PKS1441+25,they seem to be sourced mainly from the broad-line *** analysis of the opacity(τγγ)and the Gev spectra study supports the conclusion that the location of the dissipation region must be beyond the BLr to avoid significant ***,for PKS 1441+25,the emission region is also posited to lie outside yet proximate to the *** parameters of describing the emission region were obtained by fitting broadband spectral energy distribution with contemporaneous observation *** findings suggest that for the five Tev FSrQs,during Te v flaring events,the jet appears to maintain an equilibrium between the energy density of the magnetic field and that of the particles for all investigated sources,with the exceptions of 4c+21.35 and PKS1441+*** terms of the overall jet power,particle energy is the dominant contributor,and the observed blazar radiation cannot be solely attributed to the magnetic field,except in the case of 4c+***,magnetic reconnection is unlikely to be the primary mechanism behind particle acceleration in these systems.

Mutations in the contactin-associated protein-like 2(cNTNAP2)gene are associated with autism spectrum disorder(ASD),and ectodomain shedding of the cNTNAP2 protein plays a role in its ***,key enzymes involved in the c-terminal cleavage of cNTNAP2 remain largely unknown,and the effect of ASD-associated mutations on this process and its role in ASD pathogenesis remain *** this report we showed that cNTNAP2 undergoes sequential cleavages by furin,ADAM10/17-dependent a-secretase and presenilindependent *** identified that the cleavage sites of ADAM10 and ADAM17 in cNTNAP2 locate at its c-terminal residue I79 and L96,and the main a-cleavage product c79 by ADAM10 is required for the subsequent y-secretase cleavage to generate cNTNAP2 intracellular domain(cIcD).ASD-associated cNTNAP2 mutations impair the a-cleavage to generate c79,and the inhibition leads to ASDIlike repetitive and social behavior abnormalties in the cntnap2l1254T knock-in ***,exogenous expression of 79 improves autism-ike phenotypes in the cntnap2^(11254T) knock-in and cntnap2^(-/-)knockout *** data demonstrates that the a-secretase is essential for cNTNAP2 processing and its *** study indicates that inhibition of the cleavage by pathogenic mutations underlies ASD pathogenesis,and upregulation of its c-terminal fragments could have therapeutical potentials for ASD treatment.

The electrocatalytic synthesis of c-N coupling compounds from cO_(2) and nitrogenous species not only offers an effective avenue to achieve carbon neutral-ity and reduce environmental pollution,but also establishes a route to synthesize valuable chemicals,such as urea,amide,and *** innovative approach expands the application range and product categories beyond simple carbona-ceous species in electrocatalytic cO_(2) reduction,which is becoming a rapidly advancing *** review summarizes the research progress in electrocatalytic urea synthesis,using N_(2),NO_(2)^(-),and NO_(3)^(-)as nitrogenous species,and explores emerging trends in the electrosynthesis of amide and amine from cO_(2) and nitro-gen ***,the future opportunities in this field are highlighted,including electrosynthesis of amino acids and other compounds containing c-N bonds,anodic c-N coupling reactions beyond water oxidation,and the catalytic mechanism of corresponding *** critical review also captures the insights aimed at accelerating the development of electrochemical c-N coupling reactions,confirming the superiority of this electrochemical method over the traditional techniques.

Biomimetic materials have emerged as attractive and competitive alternatives for tissue engineering(TE)and regenerative *** contrast to conventional biomaterials or synthetic materials,biomimetic scaffolds based on natural biomaterial can offer cells a broad spectrum of biochemical and biophysical cues that mimic the in vivo extracellular matrix(EcM).Additionally,such materials have mechanical adaptability,micro-structure interconnectivity,and inherent bioactivity,making them ideal for the design of living implants for specific applications in TE and regenerative *** paper provides an overview for recent progress of biomimetic natural biomaterials(BNBMs),including advances in their preparation,functionality,potential applications and future *** highlight recent advances in the fabrication of BNBMs and outline general strategies for functionalizing and tailoring the BNBMs with various biological and physicochemical characteristics of native ***,we offer an overview of recent key advances in the functionalization and applications of versatile BNBMs for TE ***,we conclude by offering our perspective on open challenges and future developments in this rapidly-evolving field.
