Development of a net ozone production rate detection system based on dual-channel cavity ring-down spectroscopy

A novel system for measuring net photochemical ozone production rates in the atmosphere based on cavity ring-down spectroscopy(OPR-CRDS)was *** system consists of two chambers(a reaction chamber and a reference chamber)and a dual-channel O_(x)-CRDS *** minimize the wall loss of O_(x)in the chambers,the inner surfaces of both chambers are coated with Teflon *** performance of the OPR-CRDS system was *** was found that even though the photolysis frequency(J value)decreased by 10%,the decrease in the P(O_(3))caused by the ultraviolet-blocking film coating was less than 3%.The two chambers had a good consistency in the mean residence time and the measurement of NO_(2)and O_(x)under the condition of no *** detection limit of the OPR-CRDS was determined to be 0.20 ppbv/*** further verify the accuracy of the system,the direct measurement values of the OPR-CRDS systemwere comparedwith the calculation results based on radical(OH,HO_(2),and RO_(2))reactions,and a good correlation was obtained between the measured and calculated ***,the developed instrument was applied to obtain the comprehensive field observations at an urban site in the Yangtze River Delta(China)for 40 days,the time series and change characteristics of the P(O_(3))were obtained directly,and the good environmental adaptability and stability of the OPR-CRDS system were *** is expected that the new instrument will be beneficial to investigations of the relationship between P(O_(3))and its precursors.

Spatial-temporal distribution and emission of urban scale air pollutants in hefei based on Mobile-DOAS

As a significant city in the Yangtze River Delta regions,hefei has experienced rapid changes in the sources of air pollution due to its high-speed economic development and urban ***,there has been limited research in recent years on the spatial-temporal distribution and emission of its atmospheric *** address this,this study conducted mobile observations of urban roads using the Mobile-DOAS instrument from June 2021 to May *** monitoring results exhibit a favourable consistent with TROPOMI satellite data and ground monitoring station ***,there were pronounced seasonal variations in air ***,high concentration of HCHO and NO_(2)were closely associated with traffic congestion on roadways,while heightened SO_(2)levels were attributed to winter heating and industrial *** study also revealed that with the implementation of road policies,the average vehicle speed increased by 95.4%,while the NO concentration decreased by 54.4%.In the estimation of urban NO_(x)emission flux,it was observed that in temporal terms,compared with inventory data,the emissions calculated viamobile measurements exhibitedmore distinct seasonal patterns,with the highest emission rate of 349 g/sec in winter and the lowest of 142 g/sec in *** spatial terms,the significant difference in emissions between the inner and outer ring roads also suggests the presence of the city’s primary NO_(x)emission sources in the area between these two *** study offers data support for formulating the next phase of air pollution control measures in urban areas.

Histone H2B ubiquitination(H2Bub)is positively linked to transcriptional activation,but the genetic programs affected by H2Bub to enhance drought tolerance remain largely ***,we show that OsbZIP27 interacts directly with OsHUB1/2 to regulate drought tolerance in rice by binding to the promoters of OsHAK1 and OsGLN1 to achieve H2Bub and transcriptional ***,mutations in OsbZIP27 reduce transcription of OsHAK1 and OsGLN1,resulting in increased sensitivity to drought ***,loss of OsHUB1 and OsHUB2 function causes hypersensitivity to drought stress,whereas OsHUB2 overexpression enhances drought ***,our results indicate that OsbZIP27 coordinates with OsHUB1/2 to enhance rice drought tolerance by increasing H2Bub and expression of OsHAK1 and OsGLN1.

MAX-DOAS observations of pollutant distribution and transboundary transport in typical regions of China

Studying the spatiotemporal distribution and transboundary transport of aerosols,NO_(2),SO_(2),and HCHO in typical regions is crucial for understanding regional pollution *** a 2-year study using multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy in Qingdao,Shanghai,Xi’an,and Kunming,we investigated pollutant distribution and transport across Eastern China-Ocean,Tibetan Plateau-Central and Eastern China,and China-Southeast Asia ***,pollutant distributionwas ***,frequently clouded and misty,exhibited consistently high aerosol optical depth throughout the *** Qingdao and Shanghai,NO_(2)and SO_(2),as well as SO_(2)in Xi’an,increased in *** HCHO in summer in Shanghai and Xi’an,especially Xi’an,suggests potential ozone pollution ***,pollutant transportation across interfaces was *** the Eastern China-Ocean interface,the gas transport flux was the largest among other interfaces,with the outflux exceeding the influx,especially in winter and *** input of pollutants from the Tibetan Plateau to central-eastern Chinawas larger than the output in winter and spring,with SO_(2)having the highest transport flux in *** pollution input from Southeast Asia to China significantly exceeded the output,with spring and winter inputs being 3.22 and 3.03 times the output,***,the transportation characteristics of a pollution event at Kunming were *** this period,pollutants were transported from west to east,with themaximum SO_(2)transport flux at an altitude of 2.87 km equaling 27.74μg/(m^(2)·s).It is speculated that this pollution was caused by the transport from Southeast Asian countries to Kunming.

In order to better build the neutral beam injector with negative ion source (NNBI), the pre-research on key technologies has been carried out for the comprehensive research facility for fusion technology (CRFFT). Cesium seeding into negative-ion sources is a prerequisite to obtain the required negative hydrogen ion. The performance of ion source largely depends on the cesium conditions in the source. It is very necessary to quantitatively measure the amount of cesium in the source during the plasma on and off periods (vacuum stage).

The members of the fourth subgroup of R2R3-MYB(Sg4 members)are well-known inhibitors of phenylpropanoid and lignin synthesis *** C2 domain is closely related to the transcriptional inhibitory activity of Sg4 *** modification enhances the transcriptional inhibitory activity of Sg4 ***,we identified a phosphorylation site on the C2 domain of Cs MYB4a from tea plants(Camellia sinensis).A mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),named Cs MPK3-2,phosphorylated this site on the C2 domain of Cs *** experiments revealed that phosphorylation of Cs MYB4a weakened its ability to inhibit the gene expression of PAL,C4H,and 4CL in the phenylpropanoid pathway and activated the expression of transcription factor YABBY5,maintaining the adaxial-abaxial polarity of the *** out Nt YAB5 in Cs MYB4a transgenic tobacco partially repaired the leaf wrinkling phenotype caused by Cs *** C1 domain exhibited an activation function when the C2 domain of Cs MYB4a was phosphorylated by Cs MPK3-2,causing this reversal *** results enrich our understanding of the regulatory diversity of Sg4 members.

Insect seedling herbivory is influenced by multiple factors,but the plant apparency theory is more supported than other hypotheses——A case study in a subtropical forest

Insect herbivory is ubiquitous in various ecosystems,and directly influences the growth and survival of individual plants,especially during their vulnerable early life stages like the seedling ***,in turn,exerts a significant influence on forest community diversity and structure,as well as ecosystem function and *** variation in herbivory has been detected both among and within plant *** decades,many hypotheses have been proposed to explain such variations,including both biotic and abiotic ***,most studies have considered only one or several of these hypotheses by focusing on a few potential variables,and their results were usually inconsistent;thus,the factors driving herbivory remain *** this study,we examined leaf herbivory by insects of woody species seedlings in a subtropical forest in southwestern China over two *** total,24 potential variables that represented abiotic resource availability,characters of individual seedlings,conspecific and heterospecific species,and the whole seedling community were selected to test several commonly discussed alternative herbivory ***,our findings showed that the plant apparency hypothesis was more supported than the other hypotheses in explaining insect seedling *** results further indicated that the mechanisms and causes of insect herbivory are complex,multifactorial,species-specific and vary with seasons,indicating that there may be no uniform rules in explaining herbivory for all ***,such complexity may play an important role in promoting species coexistence and biodiversity maintenance in seedling communities,which may further translate into the following generation of saplings or even adult *** in the community of insect herbivores and/or variables influencing insect herbivory,may disrupt stability of the original seedling community,thus affecting the regeneration and development of the entire forest comm

Inhibiting SHP2 reduces glycolysis, promotes microglial M1 polarization, and alleviates secondary inflammation following spinal cord injury in a mouse model

Reducing the secondary inflammatory response, which is partly mediated by microglia, is a key focus in the treatment of spinal cord injury. Src homology 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 2(SHP2), encoded by PTPN11, is widely expressed in the human body and plays a role in inflammation through various mechanisms. Therefore, SHP2 is considered a potential target for the treatment of inflammation-related diseases. However, its role in secondary inflammation after spinal cord injury remains unclear. In this study, SHP2 was found to be abundantly expressed in microglia at the site of spinal cord injury. Inhibition of SHP2 expression using siRNA and SHP2 inhibitors attenuated the microglial inflammatory response in an in vitro lipopolysaccharide-induced model of inflammation. Notably, after treatment with SHP2 inhibitors, mice with spinal cord injury exhibited significantly improved hind limb locomotor function and reduced residual urine volume in the bladder. Subsequent in vitro experiments showed that, in microglia stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, inhibiting SHP2 expression promoted M2 polarization and inhibited M1 polarization. Finally, a co-culture experiment was conducted to assess the effect of microglia treated with SHP2 inhibitors on neuronal cells. The results demonstrated that inflammatory factors produced by microglia promoted neuronal apoptosis, while inhibiting SHP2 expression mitigated these effects. Collectively, our findings suggest that SHP2 enhances secondary inflammation and neuronal damage subsequent to spinal cord injury by modulating microglial phenotype. Therefore, inhibiting SHP2 alleviates the inflammatory response in mice with spinal cord injury and promotes functional recovery postinjury.

We construct radial and non-radial singular solutions u ∈ C4（B{0}） with a non-removable singular point x = 0 for the conformal Q-curvature equation:■where B = {x ∈ R4: |x| D0≥ 0, and satisfying ■Moreover, detailed asymptotic expansions near x = 0 of these radial and non-radial singular solutions can be established. As an application, we can also obtain the existence of two types of solutions u ∈ C4（R4■） to the problem ■ satisfying |x|-2u（x） →-D D0, and satisfying u（x） = o（|x|2） uniformly as |x| → ∞.
