Effect of salinity on survival,feeding behavior and growth of juvenile swimming crab P ortunus trituberculatus was investigated under 5 salinity levels of 5,10,20,30 and 40. The results show that the crab juveniles fed 2 or 3 times at the salinity 20 and 30,each lasted for about 25 minutes,for a total feeding time of 73.2±22.65 minutes per day. At these salinities,there were significantly higher in the frequency of feeding and in total feeding time than those at lower salinities of 5 and 10. All crab juveniles moulted when reared at a salinity of 20 during the 5 days duration of the experiment,which is significantly higher than those at other salinities. All juveniles survived at salinity 20,and the survivorship was not significantly different from that at 30,but was signif icantly higher than those at other salinities. The crab juveniles reared at a salinity of 20 had the highest value of food ration of 0.190 8±0.011 3 g/g BW,average body weight gain of 0.796±0.128 g,gain rate of 87%–96%,and food conversion ratio of 1.20±0.09. There was no significant difference in the values found between 20 and 30 but these values were significantly lower than that at the other salinities( P> 0.05). Highest activities of digestive enzymes(Amylase,Protease,Lipase) and lowest activities of protective enzymes(SOD,PO,CAT) were also obtained on crab juveniles reared at salinity of 20.

Polysaccharides were extracted from Grateloupia livida(Harv.) Yamada using hot water(extracted product denoted WGW) and then degraded in dilute sulfuric acid(degraded product denoted WGWD). The degraded mixture was then separated into four fractions through anion exchange chromatography on 2-diethylaminoethanol(DEAE)-Bio-Gel Agarose FF gel. Electrospray ionization collision-induced dissociation tandem mass spectrometry(ESI-CID-MS/MS) was performed to elucidate the structural features of all fractions. In combination with nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(NMR)and infrared spectroscopy(IR) data, the major polysaccharide structures were concluded to be μ-carrageenan and κ-carrageenan. μ-Carrageenan usually has a backbone of alternating 1,3-linked β-D-galactopyranose residues sulfated at C-4 and 1,4-linked a-D-galactopyranose residues sulfated at C-6, while κ-carrageenan consists of alternating 1,3-linked β-D-galactopyranose residues sulfated at C-4 and 1,4-linked a-D-3,6-anhydrogalactopyranose residues. Trace v-carrageenan, composed of 1,3-linked β-D-galactopyranose residues sulfated at C-4 and 1,4-linked a-D-galactopyranose residues sulfated at C-2 and C-6, was also detected. Furthermore, the polysaccharide had a backbone comprising 1,3-linked β-D-galactopyranose and1,4-linked α-L-galactopyranose sulfated at C-6, which is the agarose precursor. The hydroxy groups in the galactopyranose were partially substituted by methyl and pyruvic acid acetal(PA) groups. The anticomplementary activities of WGW and its derivatives against classical pathways were measured. The native polysaccharides in WGW had higher activities, while the derivatives had much weaker activities. This indicated that the molecular weight and sulfate content were important factors affecting the anti-complement activity.

Since the 1980s,Sargassum fusiforme has been cultivated in Zhejiang,South China,and nowadays it becomes one of the important commercial seaweeds in *** traditions of eating habits in the East Asian countries,this brown alga is used as food,because it contained functional oligo/polysaccharides and chemical components,and was regarded playing roles in antioxidant activities and regulating *** over 15 years’selection,breeding and cultivation,we obtained three strains with good traits and testified their characters during the production,which included the cultivars with high yield and other two good characters,either all the selected strains were applied in the Sargassum *** avoid confusion during the selection and nursery,it was preferred to establish one fingerprint for distinguishing the Sargassum cultivars from different *** amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD)and inter-simple sequence repeat(ISSR)methods were adopted to analyze the genetic diversities of the selected *** *** that,one fingerprint with RAPD markers was constructed,and one sequence characterized amplifi ed region(SCAR)marker to *** was *** is indicated that the applied fingerprint could be valid in *** genetic and germplasm justification,and will be positive to molecular marker assistance in its selection and cultivation.

Acoustic and electrical methods are commonly used to evaluate hydrate saturation based on P-wave velocity(Vp)and resistivity,*** evaluate hydrate saturation using petrophysical parameters directly related to the presence of *** petrophysical parameters sensitive to hydrate saturation were first analyzed using the equivalent medium rock physical model,logging intersection plots,and petrophysical parameter *** simulated annealing global optimization method was then used to estimate the hydrate saturation profile in the Shenhu Area,*** petrophysical parameters Vp,λρ,andλμ,which are associated with the rock elastic and shear moduli,are highly sensitive to hydrate saturation for an estimated saturation range of *** range is consistent with that obtained from the original well diameter ***,the parameters Vs andμρ,which are only related to the rock shear modulus,yield high hydrate saturation estimates of 0.22-0.43 and exhibit some deviations from the real-time *** to its sensitivity,the Poisson’s ratio is least desired for hydrate evaluation among the studied *** sensitivity of hydrate saturation depends on the petrophysical model used for studying hydrate physical properties and storage analysis.

As unicellular phytoplankton, the growth of a marine phytoplankton population results directly from the completion of a cell cycle, therefore, cell-environment communication is an important way which involves signal transduction pathways to regulate cell cycle progression and contribute to growth, metabolism and primary production and respond to their surrounding environment in marine phytoplankton. Cyclin-CDK and CaM/Ca2+ are essentially key regulators in control of cell cycle and signal transduction pathway, which has important values on both basic research and applied biotechnology. This paper reviews progress made in this research field, which involves the identification and characterization of cyclins and cell signal transduction system, cell cycle-control mechanisms in marine phytoplankton cells, cell cycle proteins as a marker of a terminal event to estimate the growth rate of phytoplankton at the species level, cell cycle-dependent toxin production of toxic algae and cell cycle progression regulated by environmental factors.

RNA structures are essential to support RNA functions and regulation in various biological processes. Recently, a range of novel technologies have been developed to decode genome-wide RNA structures and novel modes of functionality across a wide range of species. In this review, we summarize key strategies for probing the RNA structurome and discuss the pros and cons of representative technologies. In particular, these new technologies have been applied to dissect the structural landscape of the SARS-CoV-2 RNA genome. We also summarize the functionalities of RNA structures discovered in different regulatory layers-including RNA processing, transport, localization, and mRNA translation-across viruses, bacteria, animals, and plants. We review many versatile RNA structural elements in the context of different physiological and pathological processes(e.g., cell differentiation, stress response, and viral replication). Finally, we discuss future prospects for RNA structural studies to map the RNA structurome at higher resolution and at the single-molecule and single-cell level, and to decipher novel modes of RNA structures and functions for innovative applications.

Numerous new taxa and classifications of Dothideomycetes have been published following the last monograph of families of Dothideomycetes in 2013.A recent publication by Honsanan et *** 2020 expanded information of families in Dothideo-mycetidae and Pleosporomycetidae with modern *** this paper,we provide a refined updated document on orders and families incertae sedis of *** family is provided with an updated description,notes,including figures to represent the morphology,a list of accepted genera,and economic and ecological *** also provide phylogenetic trees for each *** this study,31 orders which consist 50 families are assigned as orders incertae sedis in Dothideomycetes,and 41 families are treated as families incertae sedis due to lack of molecular or morphological *** new order,Catinellales,and four new families,Catinellaceae,Morenoinaceae Neobuelliellaceae and Thyrinulaceae are *** genera(Neobuelliella,Pseudomicrothyrium,Flagellostrigula,Swinscowia,Macroconstrictolumina,Pseudobogoriella,and Schummia)are *** new species(Acrospermum urticae,Bogoriella complexoluminata,Dothiorella ostryae,Dyfrolomyces distoseptatus,Macroconstrictolumina megalateralis,Patellaria microspora,and Pseu-domicrothyrium thailandicum)are introduced base on morphology and phylogeny,together with two new records/reports and five new collections from different *** new combinations are also provided in this paper.
