This study examines the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)on China's export potential at the product *** country–product-level data from the Centre d'Etudes Prospectives d'Informations internationales-Base pour l'Analyse du Commerce international(CEPII-BACI),which includes 5,049 product types across 196 economies from 2007 to 2022,it explores the trade effects of the BRI and its mechanisms from the perspective of global value *** results indicate that the BRI has increased China's product export potential significantly to participating *** BRI has had the greatest impact on capital goods and labor-and capital-intensive *** effect has been most pronounced in China's exports to Southeast Asia,South Asia,and *** mechanism analysis reveals that the BRI has improved the division of labor in the global value chains for participating countries along the BRI,strengthened China's position in their output supply chains,and stimulated the growth of China's exports.

The legal reform of the late Qing Dynasty that took place more than one hundred years ago has usually been considered as the starting point of the transformation and modernization of Chinese legal culture. Following that, both the Republic of China＇s legal system, and the Chinese legal system drawing on Western experience since the opening-up, have been （to a large extent） developed by the purpose of pursuing modemity. Hence, the relationship between modernity and Chinese legal culture is the crucial point in understanding the development of Chinese legal system in modem times, and also a point in comprehending the ongoing legal system construction in a global perspective.

BEV-Locator:an end-to-end visual semantic localization network using multi-view images

Accurate localization ability is fundamental in autonomous driving. Traditional visual localization frameworks approach the semantic map-matching problem with geometric models, which rely on complex parameter tuning and thus hinder large-scale deployment. In this paper, we propose BEV-Locator: an end-to-end visual semantic localization neural network using multi-view camera images. Specifically, a visual BEV(bird-eye-view) encoder extracts and flattens the multi-view images into BEV space. While the semantic map features are structurally embedded as map query sequences. Then a cross-model transformer associates the BEV features and semantic map queries. The localization information of ego-car is recursively queried out by cross-attention modules. Finally, the ego pose can be inferred by decoding the transformer outputs. This end-to-end model speaks to its broad applicability across different driving environments, including high-speed scenarios. We evaluate the proposed method in large-scale nuScenes and Qcraft datasets. The experimental results show that the BEV-Locator is capable of estimating the vehicle poses under versatile scenarios, which effectively associates the cross-model information from multi-view images and global semantic maps. The experiments report satisfactory accuracy with mean absolute errors of 0.052 m, 0.135 m and 0.251° in lateral, longitudinal translation and heading angle degree.

Constructing Pr-doped CoOOH catalytic sites for efficient electrooxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural

Electrocatalytic conversion of renewable biomass is emerging as a promising route for sustainable chemical production;hence it urgently calls for developing efficient electrocatalysts with low potentials and high current ***,a Pr-doped Co(OH)_(2)hexagonal sheet(Pr/Co=1/9,in mole)is synthesized by electrodeposition as highly performant catalyst for 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)oxidation reaction(HMFOR)to produce 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA).This novel and low-cost catalyst possesses a rather low onset potential of 1.05 V(***)and requires only 1.10 V(***)to reach a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)for HMFOR,significantly outperforming Co(OH)_(2)benchmark(i.e.,210 mV higher to reach10 m A cm^(-2)).The origin of Pr promotion effect as well as the evolution of CoOOH catalytic sites and HMFOR process has been deeply elucidated by physical characterizations,kinetic experiments,in situ electrochemical techniques,and theoretical *** unique Pr-ameliorated CoOOH active centers enable 100%conversion of HMF,99.6%selectivity of FDCA,and 99.7%Faraday efficiency,with a superior cycling durability toward *** can be one of the most outstanding results for Co-based HMFOR catalysts to date in the *** this work can help open up new horizons for constructing novel and efficient Co-based electrocatalysts by the utilization of lanthanide elements.

Paving the Way towards Green Development:Impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on Electrification in Participating Countries

Electrification is crucial for achieving global net zero emissions and reducing energy poverty, particularly in developing countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This study uses the difference-in-differences method to examine the BRI's impact on electrification levels in 118 countries from 2009 to 2020. Its findings indicate that the BRI increased electrification in BRI countries by approximately 1 percent compared with non-BRI countries. This increase was driven primarily by enhanced trade and investments, which facilitated imports of power equipment and supported China-backed power-plant projects. The BRI's impact was more pronounced in Maritime Silk Road countries, high-income nations, and those with favorable business environments. Although the BRI promoted both renewable and nonrenewable power equipment imports, it primarily favored nonrenewable infrastructure investments. Given China's expertise in clean energy, there remains untapped potential for the BRI to prioritize renewable energy integration, fostering a sustainable and low-carbon future.

Two-dimensional（2D） materials loaded with single atoms and clusters are being set at the forefront of catalysis due to their distinctive geometric and electronic ***,the usually-complicated synthesis procedures impede in-depth clarification of their catalytic *** this end,herein we developed an efficient one-step dimension-reduction carbonization strategy,with which we successfully architected a highly-efficient catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction（ORR）,featured with symbiotic cobalt single atoms and clusters decorated in two-dimensional（2D） ultra-thin（3.5 nm thickness）nitrogen-carbon *** synergistic effects of the two components afford excellent oxygen reduction activity in alkaline media(E1/2=0.823 V ***) and thereof a high power density(146.61 mW cm-2) in an assembled Zn-air *** revealed by theoretical calculations,the cobalt clusters can regulate electrons surrounding those individual atoms and affect the adsorption of intermediate *** a consequence,the derived active sites of single cobalt atoms lead to a significant improvement of the ORR ***,our work may fuel interests to delicate architectu re of single atoms and clusters coexisting 2D support toward optimal electrocatalytic performance.
