In this study, we consider a single-link flexible manipulator in the presence of an unknown Bouc-Wen type of hysteresis and intermittent actuator faults. First, an inverse hysteresis dynamics model is introduced, and then the control input is divided into an expected input and an error compensator. Second,a novel adaptive neural network-based control scheme is proposed to cancel the unknown input hysteresis. Subsequently,by modifying the adaptive laws and local control laws, a fault-tolerant control strategy is applied to address uncertain intermittent actuator faults in a flexible manipulator system. Through the direct Lyapunov theory, the proposed scheme allows the state errors to asymptotically converge to a specified interval. Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified through numerical simulations and experiments.

Granular computing is a very hot research field in computer science in recent *** paper introduces a new granular computing model based on algebraic structure, in which the granule structure is assumed as a binary operator and the granulation is based on a congruence relation. Following the homomorphic consistency principle, the methods of granulation(granularity coarsening) and granularity combination(granularity refinement) are introduced, and the corresponding numerical examples show that these methods are efficient and applicable. These works have enriched the granular computing models from structure and provided theoretical basis for the combination of granular computing theory and algebraic theory.

Coordinated multi-point(CoMP) transmission is put forward in the long term evolution-advanced(LTE-A) system to improve both average and cell-edge throughput. CoMP-joint processing(JP) scheme can get a larger cell-edge throughput and a lower bit error rate(BER) than the CoMP-coordinated beamforming(CB) scheme, but it also has higher complexity due to data sharing. A hybrid coordinated strategy with parameter α, which indicates the proportion of users employing the CoMP-JP scheme,is proposed to apply the CoMP-JP scheme to improve the poorer communication quality of cell edge and employ the CoMP-CB scheme for other users to enhance average throughput and spectral efficiency. This paradigm selects users defined by the certain threshold of signal to interference plus noise power ratio(SINR)corresponding to the parameter α to the CoMP-JP scheme. This paper compares the BER performance between the block diagonalization(BD) based precoding and the linear precoders by maximizing signal to leakage and noise ratio(SLNR), and also indicates that the SLNR based precoding algorithm gets lower BER than the BD based precoding algorithm with certain signal-to-noise ratios(SNRs). Finally, this paper discusses that the system performance is partially affected by the percentage of CoMP-JP users and concludes that 50% of users sorted to communicate under the CoMP-JP scheme will reach the best system performance.

Software trustworthiness is an essential criterion for evaluating software quality. In componentbased software, different components play different roles and different users give different grades of trustworthiness after using the software. The two elements will both affect the trustworthiness of software. When the software quality is evaluated comprehensively, it is necessary to consider the weight of component and user feedback. According to different construction of components, the different trustworthiness measurement models are established based on the weight of components and user feedback. Algorithms of these trustworthiness measurement models are designed in order to obtain the corresponding trustworthiness measurement value automatically. The feasibility of these trustworthiness measurement models is demonstrated by a train ticket purchase system.

Allocating Fixed Costs with Considering the Return to Scale: A DEA Approach

When the allocated fixed cost is treated as the complement of other costs, conventional data envelopment analysis （DEA） researches have ignored the effect of the return to scale （RTS） in fixed cost Mlocation problems. This paper first demonstrates why the RTS should be considered in fixed cost allocation problems. Then treating the fixed cost as a complementary input, the authors investigate the relationship between the allocated cost and the variable return to scale （VRS） efficiency based on the super BCC DEA model. However, the infeasibility problem may exist in this situation. To deal with it, the authors propose an algorithm. The authors find that the super BCC efficiency is a monotone non-increasing function of the allocated cost. Based on the relationship, the authors finMly propose a fixed cost allocation approach in terms of principles as：（i） The fixed cost proportion allocated to inelastic DMUs should be consistent with their consumed cost proportion, and （ii） the same efficiency satisfaction degree to the rest DMUs. The optimal allocation scheme is unique. A numerical example and a real example of allocating fixed costs among 13 subsidiaries are employed to illustrate the proposed approach.

This paper considers the scheduling problem with rejection on m identical parallel machines to minimize the maximum flow time. The authors show that this problem is NP-hard even when there is a single machine and all jobs have two distinct release dates. Furthermore, the authors present a dynamic programming algorithm and two approximation algorithms to solve them.

Dear Editor,This letter deals with the stabilization problem of nonlinear stochastic systems via self-triggered impulsive control(STIC), where the timing of impulsive control actions is not dependent on continuous state monitoring. In contrast to the existing self-triggered control method, novel self-triggered mechanism(STM) is proposed by incorporating a waiting time for stabilizing impulses. This allows for direct prediction of the next impulsive instant.

Question answering is an important problem that aims to deliver specific answers to questions posed by humans in natural *** to efficiently identify the exact answer with respect to a given question has become an active line of *** approaches in factoid question answering tasks typically focus on modeling the semantic relevance or syntactic relationship between a given question and its corresponding *** of these models suffer when a question contains very little content that is indicative of the *** this paper,we devise an architecture named the temporality-enhanced knowledge memory network(TE-KMN) and apply the model to a factoid question answering dataset from a trivia competition called quiz *** most of the existing approaches,our model encodes not only the content of questions and answers,but also the temporal cues in a sequence of ordered sentences which gradually remark the ***,our model collaboratively uses external knowledge for a better understanding of a given *** experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves better performance than several state-of-the-art methods.

Simulation analysis of evolution of hot-images induced by coplanar multi-scatterers

Based on the diffraction theory model for hot-image formation, the evolution of hot-images induced by multiscatterers located in the same plane perpendicular to the propagation axis is numerically simulated. The simulation results show that hot-images induced by coplanar multi-scatterers are also coplanar no matter whether they exist simultaneously or severally. However, if they exist simultaneously the peak intensity of the primary hot-images is weaker than if they exist severally. The unequal competition for energy between the scattered beams from the scatterers leads to the fact that part of the corresponding hot-images are relatively enhanced and the others are restrained. The results show that the hot-images of certain scatterers become stronger when any of these parameters, i.e. amplitude modulation coefficient, phase modulation coefficient and size of the surrounding scatterer, decrease.
