Purpose: Low back pain (LBP), Gonarthrosis, knee, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome have been regarded as affecting more than three-quarters’ of individuals in their lifetime. The aim of this study was conducted to determine and compare the effects of topical patients with sand compared with control related to Gonarthrosis, LBP, knee, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pain. Methods: This is a prospective case and control designed study based on 101 pain case with Sand and 101 control subjects. The interventional groups in addition either topical sand or without sand 2 months after the intervention were assessed. We assessed tolerability of an established pain perception scale by the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Categorical variables were compared using the chi-square (χ2) test. The paired t-test was used to compare the two groups before and after the intervention. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed for comparison of several group means. Results: The study was based on 202 patients, 41 males (20.3%) and 161 females (79.7%). There were statistically significant differences between subjects with and without Sand in term of Gonarthrosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis LBP, knee, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pain (p = 0.033). Majority of patients were over age 55 years old (55%) and females 78 (77.2%). The mean score of total pain experience before and after the intervention was 7.41 ± 1.1 for black sand, and 4.24 ± 2.38 for without sand as control group. We report a study of the electronic structure of BaFe_(2)As_(2) under uniaxial strains using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and transport measurements. Two electron bands at the MY point, with an energy splitting of 50 meV in the strain-free sample, shift downward and merge into each other under a large uniaxial strain, while three hole bands at theГ point shift downward together. However, we also observed an enhancement of the resistance anisotropy under uniaxial strains by electrical transport measurements, implying that the applied strains strengthen the electronic nematic order in BaFe_(2)As_(2). These observations suggest that the splitting of these two electron bands at the MY point is not caused by the nematic order in BaFe_(2)As_(2).

Electroreduction of nitrate(NO_(3)-)to ammonia(NH_(3))is an environmentally friendly route for NH_(3)production,serving as an appealing alternative to the Haber-Bosch process.Recently,various noble metal-based electrocatalysts have been reported for electroreduction of NO_(3)-.However,the application of pure metal electrocatalysts is still limited by unsatisfactory performance,owing to the weak adsorption of nitrogen-containing intermediates on the surface of pure metal electrocatalysts.In this work,we report thiol ligand-modified Au nanoparticles as the effective electrocatalysts toward electroreduction of NO_(3)-.Specifically,three mercaptobenzoic acid(MBA)isomers,thiosalicylic acid(ortho-MBA),3-mercaptobenzoic acid(meta-MBA),and 4-mercaptobenzoic acid(para-MBA),were employed to modify the surface of the Au nanocatalyst.During the NO_(3)-electroreduction,para-MBA modified Au(denoted as para-Au/C)displayed the highest catalytic activity among these Au-based catalysts.At-1.0 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(vs RHE),para-Au/C exhibited a partial current density for NH_(3)of 472.2 mA cm^(-2),which was 1.7 times that of the pristine Au catalyst.Meanwhile,the Faradaic efficiency(FE)for NH_(3)reached 98.7%at-1.0 V vs RHE for para-Au/C.The modification of para-MBA significantly improved the intrinsic activity of the Au/C catalyst,thus accelerating the kinetics of NO_(3)-reduction and giving rise to a high NH_(3)yield rate of para-Au/C.

Context/Objective: High blood pressure (HBP) currently represents the most widespread chronic non-communicable disease in Cameroon. The increase in its prevalence in the country is the result of multiple factors including economic stress imposed by precariousness, poor living conditions, sources of anxiety, anguish, depression and other behavioral disorders. Economic stress is a globalizing concept that integrates into a purely hermeneutic approach, a particular functioning of the nervous system of an individual who faces employment problems and precarious remuneration conditions. The non-satisfaction by an individual of his basic needs due to insufficient financial means can cause him to become irritable, aggressive, and socially and symbolically isolated, thereby increasing the desire to resort to morbid life models such as excessive consumption of narcotics and other psychoactive substances often associated with high blood pressure. The fight against the emergence of BPH is a complex, multifaceted and multifactorial reality that requires taking into account economic stress. The main objective of this survey is to describe the situation of economic stress within the Cameroonian population, which imposes precariousness and life models at risk of high blood pressure. Specifically, we determined the level of household income and the sources of income. Methods: A cross-sectional survey with a descriptive aim among five hundred households in the Central Region of Cameroon was conducted. A probabilistic technique called simple randomness was used. The number of households to be surveyed was determined indirectly using the Cochrane formula. Data collection in face-to-face mode using a physical questionnaire took place from July 1 to August 31, 2023, after obtaining ethical clearance from the Regional Health Research Ethics Committee, Human from the Center and an administrative authorization for data collection. Microbial communication during bioremediation of polyaromatic hydrocarbons

Human activity pollution has been shown to harm the environment,ecology,and health impacts.The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)produced by the industries such as tannery,distillery,pulp paper,and oil refineries are a major source of contaminant.PAHs are found all across the world,owing to long-term human pollution sources.PAHs'physico-chemical features,such as hydrophobicity and electrochemical stability,contribute to their environmental persistence and contribute to their carcinogenic and health effects.Numerous analytical and biological techniques for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of PAHs have been proposed.Bioaccumulation,adsorption,chemical oxidation,photolysis,volatilization,and microbiological degradation are the principal breakdown pathways of PAHs in the environment.Microbial populations,such as bacteria,fungi,and algae,play a crucial role in the biological elimination of PAHs.Oxidase,manganese peroxidases,lipases,and laccases are the enzymes involved in PAHs breakdown.The synthesis of surfactants by bacteria increases PAHs bioavailability and improves the elimination process of PAHs.Temperature,pH,aeration,moisture content,nutrition availability,absence of hazardous chemicals,and the kind and number of degrading microbial populations are all factors that influence PAHs decomposition.Microbial degradation mechanisms result in intermediate metabolites and carbon dioxide mineralization.The elimination of PAHs is improved by molecular approaches such as gene engineering and protein engineering.This review discussed the benefits of bioremediation strategies that were investigated for precise evaluation and were trusted at both the regulatory and scientific studies levels.

KinasePhos 3.0:Redesign and Expansion of the Prediction on Kinase-specific Phosphorylation Sites

The purpose of this work is to enhance KinasePhos,a machine learning-based kinasespecific phosphorylation site prediction tool.Experimentally verified kinase-specific phosphorylation data were collected from PhosphoSitePlus,UniProtKB,the GPS 5.0,and Phospho.ELM.In total,41,421 experimentally verified kinase-specific phosphorylation sites were identified.A total of 1380 unique kinases were identified,including 753 with existing classification information from KinBase and the remaining 627 annotated by building a phylogenetic tree.Based on this kinase classification,a total of 771 predictive models were built at the individual,family,and group levels,using at least 15 experimentally verified substrate sites in positive training datasets.The improved models demonstrated their effectiveness compared with other prediction tools.For example,the prediction of sites phosphorylated by the protein kinase B,casein kinase 2,and protein kinase A families had accuracies of 94.5%,92.5%,and 90.0%,respectively.The average prediction accuracy for all 771 models was 87.2%.For enhancing interpretability,the SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)method was employed to assess feature importance.The web interface of KinasePhos 3.0 has been redesigned to provide comprehensive annotations of kinase-specific phosphorylation sites on multiple proteins.Additionally,considering the large scale of phosphoproteomic data,a downloadable prediction tool is available at https://***/KinasePhos/download.html or https://***/tom-209/KinasePhos-3.0-executable-file.

Study on Ecological Change Remote Sensing Monitoring Method Based on Elman Dynamic Recurrent Neural Network

In this paper, Hailin City of Heilongjiang Province, China is taken as the research area. As an important city in Heilongjiang Province, China, the sustainable development of its ecological environment is related to the opening up, economic prosperity and social stability of Northeast China. In this paper, the remote sensing ecological index (RSEI) of Hailin City in recent 20 years was calculated by using Landsat 5/8/9 series satellite images, and the temporal and spatial changes of the ecological environment in Hailin City were further analyzed and the influencing factors were discussed. From 2003 to 2023, the mean value of RSEI in Hailin City decreased and increased, and the ecological environment decreased slightly as a whole. RSEI declined most significantly from 2003 to 2008, and it increased from 2008 to 2013, decreased from 2013 to 2018, and increased from 2018 to 2023 again, with higher RSEI value in the south and lower RSEI value in the northwest. It is suggested to appropriately increase vegetation coverage in the northwest to improve ecological quality. As a result, the predicted value of Elman dynamic recurrent neural network model is consistent with the change trend of the mean value, and the prediction error converges quickly, which can accurately predict the ecological environment quality in the future study area.
