Microinvasive analysis of textile relics from an ancient Silk Road turquoise mining site

The Xinjiang region,with its unique location and climate,exhibits well-preserved relics of great academic *** paper focuses on the microinvasive analysis of textile samples obtained from an ancient turquoise mining site in the Heishanling region of Xinjiang,active between 820 and 400 *** analytical techniques,including optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy with attenuated total reflection,and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry,were employed to investigate these *** results revealed that the textiles were composed of wool and dyed using indigo and *** bluegrass and madder-derived dyes were likely sourced locally or imported from wetter regions such as the Chinese Central *** infrared deconvolution spectra and the results demonstrated that red and blue dyes considerably influenced the movement of wool fiber chains,leading to a more rapid decay of dyed fibers compared to those that were *** addition,the medium dyeing process and Ke techniques were employed to create unique color shades and special *** scientific and technological analysis of the textiles provides essential data for elucidating the materials available to ancient ***,it offers scientific evidence supporting the cultural exchange between the western regions and the Central Plains and integration along the Silk Road.

Changes in metal concentrations in the litter of Potamogeton crispus were monitored during a consecutive 40-day in situ decomposition experiment using the litterbag *** accumulation index was calculated and used to indicate the changes in the metals in *** results showed that the concentrations of Al,Cd,Cr,Fe,Mn,and Pb in litter increased significantly during the decomposition,while Cu and Zn concentrations decreased *** positive correlations were found between the concentrations of Al,Cr,Fe,and Mn and between Cu and ***,Cu and Zn both negatively correlated with Al and *** remaining dry mass was negatively correlated with Al and Fe concentrations but positively correlated with Cu and Zn *** the accumulation index values of metals other than Al were less than one,indicating that the litter of *** acted as a source of metals to the surrounding water *** was the only metal that showed continuous net accumulation in *** net accumulation of Fe and Mn in litter during the last 10 days of the experiment may indicate the precipitation of Feand *** was estimated that 160 g/m^2（dry weight）*** was decomposed in40 *** was equivalent to releasing the following amounts of metals：0.01 mg Cd,0.03 mg Cr,0.71 mg Cu,0.55 mg Mn,0.02 mg Pb and 13.8 mg Zn into surrounding water,and accumulating 149 mg Al and 11 mg Fe,in a 1 m^2 area.

The conventional wisdom has been challenged recently that microblades with handles are only tools for hunting and gathering in the Neolithic Age. Some scholars argued that microblades actually played an important part in the early agricultural development in the Neolithic. However, both of these opinions lacked direct evidence. Environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) is used to analyze the residues of the bone-handled microblade excavated at the Shangzhai site in Pinggu, Beijing. The ESEM observation and EDX analysis show that at the edge of this bone-handled microblade are Ca, P, C, O or C, N, O, etc, which provide direct evidence for determining its function, namely that this microblade may have been dealt with animals. In addition, there was a layer of glue at the back of the microblade with barium and zinc salt distributed evenly in it, this new discovery sheds new light on adhesive technology in ancient China.

Architecture description languages play an important role in modelling software architectures. However, many architecture description languages （ADLs） are either unable to deal with the verification and dynamic changes directly or too formal to be understood and manipulated. This paper presents xBreeze/ADL, a novel extensible markup language （XML）-based verification and evolution supported architecture description language, which is specifically designed for modelling the software architecture of large, complex systems. Five principle design goals are 1） to separate template from instance to define a loose coupling structure, 2） to present virtual and concrete link to identify service execution flow, 3） to clearly represent component behaviour to specify architecture semantics, 4） to introduce multi-dimension restrictions to define the architecture constraints, and 5） to use the graph transformation theory to implement the architecture configuration management （i.e., reconfiguration and verification）. Various advanced features of xBreeze/ADL are illustrated by using an example on online movie ticket booking system.

The use of lead, some of which is characterized by a highly radiogenic signature, sharply distinguishes Bronze Age China from the rest of Eurasia. Scholars have long hypothesized that silver can offer an independent proxy to characterize lead minerals. The summary of silver distribution associated with Shang and Western Zhou bronzes in this paper reveals an important difference between the south(Sanxingdui, Hanzhong, Jinsha, Panlongcheng, Xin’gan) and the Central Plains. Correlating silver with lead content as well as with the isotopic signature indicates that south China and the Central Plains had different lead sources during the late Shang period, and also that the highly radiogenic and common lead used at Anyang come from geochemical environments which cannot be distinguished by the level of silver.

The Grand Canal is of incomparable importance to ancient China, which stiU serves it＇s original functions in the current society. Given it＇s outstanding value, the conservation of the Grand Canal in China is drawing an increasing attention, and there is a proposal to inscribe it in the World Heritage List in the near future. The different functions of the Grand Canal determine the roles of the different departments; however, there are some contradictions that will harm it＇s conservation. The current paper attempts to find solutions toward the better management of the Grand Canal in the context of world heritage conservation.

Considering the importance of the poultry industry and the increasing interest in alternative growth promoters,probiotics are considered as a potential candidate for use in the poultry *** this study,Lactobacillus species were isolated from 21 rectal swabs of 11 healthy 6-day-old and 10 healthy 21-day-old chickens and their fecal and feed *** isolates were characterized and their probiotic characteristics,including resistance to gastric acid and bile salts,biofilm formation and adherence to epithelium or mucus,amylase and protease activity and production of inhibitory compounds,were *** 31 acid and bile resistant lactobacilli,only 2 Lactobacillus brevis and 1 Lactobacillus reuteri strains showed significant probiotic *** isolates indicated detectable attachment to Caco-2 cells and significant antibacterial activities against Gram-positive and Gram-negative ***,phenotypic and genotypic diversity of lactobacilli isolates were studied by Phene Plate(PhP)system(PhP-LB)and random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD)-PCR,***-LB results of 24 *** isolates showed a high phenotypic variation among the *** comparison,results of RAPD-PCR highlighted a low ***,it seems that combination of the 2 techniques(PhP and RAPD-PCR)could result in a significant discriminatory power than each of them used alone.
