Experiment and simulation study of emergency evacuation during violent attack in classrooms

In recent years,as a disaster,terrorist attacks have occurred throughout the ***,emergency evac-uation behaviors during these incidents were not clear,and the traditional emergency plans were not suitable for such *** this paper,evacuation behaviors under armed assault attack in a classroom were studied based on evacuation experiments.A total of 103 participants took part in three *** each experiment,the attacker’s attacking route was set differently to study the impact of the attacking route on evacuation ***-evacuation delay,panic of the evacuees,exit choices,evacuation time,and evacuees’trajectories in the experiments were all *** results of the experiments showed that when a terrorist attack occurs,there is a long delay before evacuation,and most of the evacuees were in the state of“observation”before they *** one of the participants started to evacuate or shout,other participants would begin to recognize the danger and escape *** three experiments showed that the route of the attacker had a significant impact on the routes and exit choices of the *** than searching for the nearest exit,the primary purpose of evacuees was to keep a safe distance from the *** average speed of the evacuees in these three experiments was 1.07 m/s,0.81 m/s,and 0.84 m/s,*** density distribution during the crowd evacuation process was uneven,with the highest density occurring at the area from the seats to the *** research can provide data support for the design of emergency plans and the computer simulation of the armed assault attack.

Composite fabrics with excellent microwave absorbing performance are highly ***,reduced graphene oxide/carbon nanofiber(rGO/CNF)based composite fabrics with spider web-like structure were successfully synthesized by electrostatic spinning *** spider web-like structure in the composite fabrics provides a connected network for efficient conductive loss of microwave *** loss benefits from the deposited nickel nanoparticles(Ni NPs)anchored in the carbon ***,the deposited thin polypyrrole(PPy)layers on the conductive network acts as a protective layer for Ni NPs as well as provides abundant interfaces for dissipating electromagnetic energies,which endow the composite fabrics stable microwave absorbing *** to the synergistic effect of microwave absorb-ing mechanism,the maximum reflection loss(RL_(max))of the composite fabric at 6.72 GHz is-46.15 dB,and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)is as wide as 8.63 GHz(from 9.37 to 18 GHz).What's more,favorable mechanical and heat insulation properties of the composite fabrics reveal its multifunctional *** rGO/CNF based composite fabric demonstrates a new direction for multifunctional and flexible microwave absorbing materials(MAMs).

In this report,we applied the TissueFAXS 200 digital pathological analysis system to rapidly and accurately identify neutrophils during regeneration of contused skeletal muscle,and to provide information for follow-up studies on neutrophils to estimate wound *** injury model was established,and skeletal muscle samples were obtained from the control group and contusion groups at 1,1.5,2,3,4,and 6 h,as well as at 1,3,5,and 15 d post-injury(n紏5 per group).The expression of nuclei and neutrophils was detected by hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining and immunohistochemical(IHC)staining.A total of 20 injury site areas of 0.25mm^(2)(0.5mm0.5mm)were then randomly selected at all time points.A TissueFAXS 200 digital pathological analysis system was used to identify the positive and negative *** of five professional medical workers were considered the gold standard to measure the false positive rate(FPR),false negative rate(FNR),sensitivity,specificity,and area under the curve(AUC)of receiver operating characteristic(ROC)*** a result,with a staining area of neutrophils from 8 μm^(2) to 15 μm^(2),the FPR was 4.28%–12.14%,the FNR was 12.42%–64.08%,the sensitivity was 35.92%–87.58%,the specificity was 87.86%–95.72%,the Youden index was 0.316–0.754,the accuracy was 82.80%–88.30%,and the AUC was 0.771–*** AUC was largest when the cut-off value of the staining area was 12 mm^(2).Our results show that this software-based method is more accurate than the human eye in evaluating neutrophil *** on the sensitivity and specificity,neutrophils can be accurately identified during regeneration of contused skeletal *** TissueFAXS 200 digital pathological analysis system can also be used to optimize conditions for different cell types under various injury conditions to determine the optimal cut-off value of the staining area and provide optimal conditions for further ***,it will provide evidence for forensic pathology cases.

Objective To investigate the dynamics of the level of S100 in cerebrum,brainstem,and serum following the diffuse brain injury in rats and provide the experimental evidences for estimating injury *** ELISA was used to determine whether S100 protein is changed after diffuse brain injury in *** rats were sacrificed at 0.5 hour, 2 hours,4 hours,12 hours,24 hours,3d and 7d after diffuse brain injury and normal rats as *** The level of S100 in cerebrum,brainstem,and serum increased,followed by a decrease,and then further *** level of S100 could be detected to increase at 30 minutes and reached the peak at 4 hours after *** level decreased gradually to the normal at 1d and till 3d formed the second *** level returned to the normal at 7d following injury *** the postmortem injury groups,there were no significant changes compared to the control *** The present study showed that the time-dependent expression of S100 is obvious following diffuse brain injury in rats and suggested that S100 will be a suitable marker for diffuse brain injury age determination.

Signature examination is the most common examination performed by any document *** of the authenticity of a handwritten signature on a questioned document is an important task for forensic document examiners in the forensic science *** a result of continuous developments in technology,a signature stamp can now be created using a photosensitive seal to enable the reproduction of a handwritten *** stamps are commonly used in China and several other *** this study,10 types of black photosensitive stamp-pad ink,10 brands of fountain pen ink,15 types of black gel ink and six types of black erasable gel ink found on the Chinese domestic market were collected and 10 photosensitive signature stamps were created using the signatures of 10 *** analysis,infrared(IR)and fluorescence analyses and microspectrophotometry(MSP)techniques were used to examine the resulting photosensitive signature stamp impressions when applied to printing papers,writing papers and invoice *** comparing the printing and spectral characteristics of the photosensitive signature stamp impressions with those of the signatures executed using the fountain pens,gel pens and erasable gel pens,it was possible to determine whether each signature was written or stamped using a photosensitive signature *** validate these results,a 96.7%absolute accuracy and a 99.3%detection rate were achieved over a total of 150 blind tests conducted by five forensic document examiners,thus demonstrating that a combination of the four analysis methods used in this work can provide a more scientific approach and improve the accuracy and the detection rate of the examination process.

In nature, some molecules have broken conjugate symmetry configurations, which might result in a special optical phenomenon called negative refraction. Under such circumstances, both permittivity and permeability are negative simultaneously. When light at certain frequency is transmitted through a transparent medium(e.g., slide glass) in which a psychoactive drug with negative indexes has been deposited, the refracted light is detected at different locations in the transparent medium. This is because the refracted light travels in a direction opposite to the expected path when it passes through material with a negative index. Using this method, it is possible to distinguish synthetic cannabinoids from other abusive psychoactive drugs in the UV-vis region. In this study, we use a tight-binding model to calculate the permittivity and permeability of pentagonal configurations with different broken symmetries. Furthermore, a qualitative analysis of the negative refraction with respect to heptagonal models is discussed.

Dear Editor,Short tandem repeats(STRs),polymorphic DNA regions with a variable number of repeated units(2–6 base pairs),are attractive to forensic applications such as human identification and parentage testing[1].Nowadays,most of the commercial STR kits are designed based on STRs from the combined DNA index system(CODIS),European Standard Set(ESS),expanded CODIS,and extended ESS[2].In this study,we evaluated 21 STRs from GoldeneyeTM DNA ID 22NC kit(PeopleSpot Inc.,Beijing,China),which including 20 polymorphic non-CODIS STR loci(i.e.D1S1656,D2S441,D3S1744,D3S3045,D4S2366,D5S2500,D6S477,D7S1517,D7S3048,D8S1132,D10S1248,D10S1435,D11S2368,D13S325,D14S608,D15S659,D17S1290,D18S535,D19S253,D22GATA198B05)and a CODIS STR locus(D3S1358),in five ethnic groups(*** Han,Ningxia Hui,Xinjiang Uygur,Xizang Tibetan,and Inner Mongolia Mongolian)of *** forensic genetic investigation of above loci may provide more genetic information in complex kinship testing and population studies[3,4].

Stereolithographic(STL)files have been extensively used in rapid prototyping industries as well as many other fields as watermarking algorithms to secure intellectual property and protect three-dimensional models from ***,to the best of our knowledge,few studies have looked at how watermarking can resist attacks that involve ***,we present a lossless and robust watermarking scheme for STL files to protect against vertexreordering ***,we designed a novel error-correcting code(ECC)that can correct the error of any one-bit in a bitstream by inserting several check *** addition,ECC is designed to make use of redundant information according to the characteristics of STL files,which introduces further robustness for defense against *** modifications are made to the geometric information of the three-dimensional model,which respects the requirements of a highprecision *** experimental results show that the proposed watermarking scheme can survive numerous kinds of attack,including rotation,scaling and translation(RST),facet reordering,and vertex-reordering attacks.
