New normalized LMS adaptive filter with a variable regularization factor

A new normalized least mean square(NLMS) adaptive filter is first derived from a cost function, which incorporates the conventional one of the NLMS with a minimum-disturbance(MD)constraint. A variable regularization factor(RF) is then employed to control the contribution made by the MD constraint in the cost function. Analysis results show that the RF can be taken as a combination of the step size and regularization parameter in the conventional NLMS. This implies that these parameters can be jointly controlled by simply tuning the RF as the proposed algorithm does. It also demonstrates that the RF can accelerate the convergence rate of the proposed algorithm and its optimal value can be obtained by minimizing the squared noise-free posteriori error. A method for automatically determining the value of the RF is also presented, which is free of any prior knowledge of the noise. While simulation results verify the analytical ones, it is also illustrated that the performance of the proposed algorithm is superior to the state-of-art ones in both the steady-state misalignment and the convergence rate. A novel algorithm is proposed to solve some problems. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Niobates are promising all-climate Li^(+)-storage anode material due to their fast charge transport,large specific capacities,and resistance to electrolyte ***,their moderate unit-cellvolume expansion(generally 5%–10%)during Li^(+)storage causes unsatisfactory long-term ***,“zero-strain”NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers are explored as a new anode material with comprehensively good electrochemical *** Li^(+)storage,the expansion of electrochemical inactive NiO_(6) octahedra almost fully offsets the shrinkage of active NbO_(6) octahedra through reversible O *** superior volume-accommodation capability of the NiO_(6) layers guarantees the“zero-strain”behavior of NiNb_(2)O_(6) in a broad temperature range(0.53%//0.51%//0.74%at 25//−10//60℃),leading to the excellent cyclability of the NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers(92.8%//99.2%//91.1%capacity retention after 1000//2000//1000 cycles at 10C and 25//−10//60℃).This NiNb_(2)O_(6) material further exhibits a large reversible capacity(300//184//318 mAh g−1 at 0.1C and 25//−10//60℃)and outstanding rate performance(10 to 0.5C capacity percentage of 64.3%//50.0%//65.4%at 25//−10//60℃).Therefore,the NiNb_(2)O_(6) fibers are especially suitable for large-capacity,fast-charging,long-life,and all-climate lithium-ion batteries.

Text classification is an important task in natural language processing and numerous studies aim to improve the accuracy and efficiency of text classification models. In this study, we propose an effective and efficient text classification model which is based on self-attention solely. The recently proposed multidimensional self-attention significantly improved the performance of self-attention. However, existing models suffer from two major limitations:(1) the previous multi-dimensional self-attention models are quite timeconsuming;(2) the dependencies of elements along the feature axis are not taken into account. To overcome these problems, in this paper, a much more computational efficient multi-dimensional self-attention model is proposed, and two parallel self-attention modules, called dual-axial self-attention, are applied to capture rich dependencies along the feature axis as well as the text axis. A text classification model is then *** experimental results on eight representative datasets show that the proposed text classification model can obtain state-of-the-art results and the proposed self-attention outperforms conventional self-attention models.

Accurate simulations of ultra-wideband （UWB） electromagnetic radiation from an antenna were developed based on a time-domain finite element method （TDFEM） based on p-step Lagrange interpolation for the temporal expansion. The motivation was to utilize the good interpolation features and straightforward computations for UWB antenna simulations. Numerical results were obtained from the cases of the cavity resonance problem, a bowtie and a Sierpinski bowtie antenna. Comparisons with an existing TDFEM approach employed linear temporal basis functions show good agreement to demonstrate the validity of the present schemes. The TDFEM with 2-step Lagrange interpolation as the temporal basis functions achieves better numerical results with only a small increase to run time and memory use in terms of the relative errors of the resonant frequency in the cavity for the transverse electric mode and the radiation patterns of the bowtie antenna.

This paper studies the software scenario testing, which is commonly used in black-box testing at present. In the paper, the workflow model based on task-driven, which is very common in scenario testing, is analyzed. According to test adequacy criteria in scenario testing, the model is designed to correspond test cases in the light of logic block(LB). The final test cases that conform to the test adequacy criteria can be obtained through test case combination and test case reduction. In the last part of the paper, example of actual workflow is to design the efficient test case. Therefore the method is proved to be effective.

The numerous works on media retargeting call for a thorough and comprehensive survey for reviewing and categorizing existing works and providing insights that can help future design of retargeting approaches and its applica- tions. First, we present the basic problem of media retarget- ing and detail state-of-the-art retargeting methods devised to solve it. Second, we review recent works on objective quality assessment of media retargeting, where we find that although these works are designed to make the objective assessment result in accordance with the subjective evaluation, they are only suitable for certain situations. Considering the subjective nature of aesthetics, designing objective assessment metric for media retargeting could be a promising area for investiga- tion. Third, we elaborate on other applications extended from retargeting techniques. We show how to apply the retarget- ing techniques in other fields to solve their challenging prob- lems, and reveal that retargeting technique is not just a simple scaling algorithm, but a thought or concept, which has great flexibility and is quite useful. We believe this review can help researchers and practitioners to solve the existing problems of media retargeting and bring new ideas in their works.

Early identification and treatment of stroke can greatly improve patient outcomes and quality of *** clinical tests such as the Cincinnati Pre-hospital Stroke Scale(CPSS)and the Face Arm Speech Test(FAST)are commonly used for stroke screening,accurate administration is dependent on specialized *** this study,we proposed a novel multimodal deep learning approach,based on the FAST,for assessing suspected stroke patients exhibiting symptoms such as limb weakness,facial paresis,and speech disorders in acute *** collected a dataset comprising videos and audio recordings of emergency room patients performing designated limb movements,facial expressions,and speech tests based on the *** compared the constructed deep learning model,which was designed to process multi-modal datasets,with six prior models that achieved good action classification performance,including the I3D,SlowFast,X3D,TPN,TimeSformer,and *** found that the findings of our deep learning model had a higher clinical value compared with the other ***,the multi-modal model outperformed its single-module variants,highlighting the benefit of utilizing multiple types of patient data,such as action videos and speech *** results indicate that a multi-modal deep learning model combined with the FAST could greatly improve the accuracy and sensitivity of early stroke identification of stroke,thus providing a practical and powerful tool for assessing stroke patients in an emergency clinical setting.

BiodMHC:an online server for the prediction of MHC class Ⅱ-peptide binding affinity

Effective identification of major histocompatibility complex （MHC） molecules restricted peptides is a critical step in discovering immune epitopes. Although many online servers have been built to predict class Ⅱ MHC-peptide binding affinity, they have been trained on different datasets, and thus fail in providing a unified comparison of various methods. In this paper, we present our implementation of seven popular predictive methods, namely SMM-align, ARB, SVR-pairwise, Gibbs sampler. ProPred, LP-top2, and MHCPred, on a single web server named BiodMHC （http：//***/BiodMHC/***, the software is available upon request）. Using a standard measure of AUC （Area Under the receiver operating characteristic Curves）, we compare these methods by means of not only cross validation but also prediction on independent test datasets. We find that SMM-align, ProPred, SVR-pairwise, ARB, and Gibbs sampler are the five best-performing methods. For the binding affinity prediction of class Ⅱ MHC-peptide, BiodMHC provides a convenient online platform for researchers to obtain binding information simultaneously using various methods.
