An artificial intelligence(AI) processor is a promising solution for energy-efficient data processing, including health monitoring and image/voice recognition. However, data movements between compute part and memory induce memory wall and power wall challenges to the conventional computing ***, the memory-centric architecture has been revised to solve the data movement issue, where the memory is equipped with the compute-capable memory technique, namely, computing-in-memory(CIM). In this paper, we analyze the requirement of AI algorithms on the data movement and low power requirement of AI processors. In addition, we introduce the story of CIM and implementation methodologies of CIM architecture. Furthermore, we present several novel solutions beyond traditional analog-digital mixed static random-access memory(SRAM)-based CIM architecture. Finally, recent CIM tape-out studies are listed and discussed.

Polar codes represent one of the major breakthroughs in 5G standard,and have been proven to be able to achieve the symmetric capacity of binary-input discrete memoryless channels using the successive cancellation list(SCL)decoding ***,the SCL algorithm suffers from a large amount of memory *** paper proposes an adaptive simplified decoding algorithm for multiple cyclic redundancy check(CRC)polar *** results show that the proposed method can reduce the decoding complexity and memory *** can also acquire the performance gain in the low signal to noise ratio region.

Decoherence suppression for three-qubit W-like state using weak measurement and iteration method

Multi-qubit entanglement states are the key resources for various multipartite quantum communication tasks. For a class of generalized three-qubit quantum entanglement, W-like state, we demonstrate that the weak measurement and the reversal measurement are capable of suppressing the amplitude damping decoherence by reducing the initial damping factor into a smaller equivalent damping factor. Furthermore, we propose an iteration method in the weak measurement and the reversal measurement to enhance the success probability of the total measurements. Finally, we discuss how the number of the iterations influences the overall effect of decoherence suppression, and find that the ＂half iteration＂ method is a better option that has more practical value.

A joint two-dimensional(2D)direction-of-arrival(DOA)and radial Doppler frequency estimation method for the L-shaped array is proposed in this paper based on the compressive sensing(CS)*** from the conventional CS-based methods where the joint spatial-temporal parameters are characterized in one large scale matrix,three smaller scale matrices with independent azimuth,elevation and Doppler frequency are introduced adopting a separable observation ***,the estimation is achieved by L1-norm minimization and the Bayesian CS *** addition,under the L-shaped array topology,the azimuth and elevation are separated yet coupled to the same radial Doppler ***,the pair matching problem is solved with the aid of the radial Doppler ***,numerical simulations corroborate the feasibility and validity of the proposed algorithm.

Pricing the spare bandwidth: towards maximizing data center's profit

To provide tenants with predictable network performance, tenants are allowed to purchase specified amount of data center network(DCN) resources(e.g., bandwidth). Then, data center will reserve the purchased resources for the corresponding tenants. Meanwhile, some DCNs are work conserving, which means that the spare bandwidth will be fairly shared by all active tenants. Even though the amount of the spare bandwidth is stochastic and uncertain, DCN providers are not likely to give away it for free. Thus, data center with work conserving may impose extra payment on tenants for using the spare bandwidth. In this paper, we propose a suitable tariff to charge for the usages of DCN resources, which includes a bill for the usage of the spare bandwidth. Through theoretical analysis and simulation, we demonstrate that our tariff can incentivize tenants to adjust their purchases of bandwidths, which can lead to the improvement of data center's profit by 27.4%without impairing the social welfare.

The Accuracy Analysis of Zero-lag Correlation Coefficient of Dual-Polarization Radar

Dual polarization technology is gradually promoted in our country after Doppler weather radar network. It extends the capabilities of conventional Doppler radar, and can directly detect the differential reflectivity factor and the zero-lag correlation coefficient and so on which are related with the micro-physics characteristics of precipitation. Considering that small error may lead to erroneous judgments when identify the particle phase state with the zero-lag correlation coefficient for its values is close to each other at different phase states and is between0 and 1, the error mean value and mean square root of the zero-lag correlation coefficient are deduced at alternative transmission mode, and each parameter’s effect to the precision is analyzed. It not only provides a useful polarization variable for better identifying hydrometer phase state and clutter recognition, but also provides an practical way to estimate the zero-lag correlation coefficient and relevant.

Dark channel prior based blurred image restoration method using total variation and morphology

The blurred image restoration method can dramatically highlight the image details and enhance the global contrast, which is of benefit to improvement of the visual effect during practical ap- plications. This paper is based on the dark channel prior principle and aims at the prior information absent blurred image degradation situation. A lot of improvements have been made to estimate the transmission map of blurred images. Since the dark channel prior principle can effectively restore the blurred image at the cost of a large amount of computation, the total variation （TV） and image morphology transform （specifically top-hat transform and bottom- hat transform） have been introduced into the improved method. Compared with original transmission map estimation methods, the proposed method features both simplicity and accuracy. The es- timated transmission map together with the element can restore the image. Simulation results show that this method could inhibit the ill-posed problem during image restoration, meanwhile it can greatly improve the image quality and definition.

With the objective of taking full use of channel resource, we proposed two utility based dynamic subcarrier allocation （DSA） algorithms for the single carrier frequency division multiple access （SC-FDMA） system, which are the proportional fair frugality constrained （PF-FC） algorithm and the weighted proportional fair frugality constrained （WPF-FC） algorithm. The two proposed algorithms are designed under the frugality constraint （FC） control consideration so as to avoid service rate waste and improve the spectrum efficiency. Moreover, the queuing buffer model in this paper is established on a finite size structure rather than the traditional infinite queuing manner, which is more consistent with the practical transmission condition. Simulation results indicate that the two proposed algorithms can both achieve significantly better system rate-sum capacity and quality of service （QoS） performance than their primary algorithms, and are more applicable for the heterogeneous traffic.

Two utility-optimization dynamic subcarrier allocation(DSA) algorithms are designed for single carrier frequency division multiple access system(SC-FDMA).The two proposed algorithms aim to support diverse transmission capacity requirements in wireless networks,which consider both the channel state information(CSI) and the capacity requirements of each user by setting appropriate utility *** results show that with considerable lower computational complexity,the first utility-optimization algorithm can meet the system capacity requirements of each user ***,the rate-sum capacity performance is ***,the second proposed utility-optimization algorithm can contribute a better trade-off between system rate-sum capacity requirement and the capacity requirements of each user by introducing the signal to noise ratio(SNR) information to the utility function based on the first utility-optimization algorithm,which can improve the user requirements processing capability as well as achieve a better sum-rate capacity.
