Effect of dissolved-oxygen on the flotation behavior of pyrite at high altitude area

With the continuous development of mineral resources to high altitude areas,the study of sulfide ore flotation in unconventional systems has been *** is a consensus that moderate oxidation of sulfide ore is beneficial to flotation,but the specific suitable dissolved oxygen value is inconclusive,and there are few studies on sulfide ore flotation under low dissolved oxygen environment at high *** this paper,we designed and assembled an atmosphere simulation flotation equipment to simulate the flotation of pyrite at high altitude by controlling the partial pressure of N_(2)/O_(2) and dissolved oxygen under atmospheric conditions.X-ray photoelectron spec-troscopy(XPS),atomic force microscope(AFM),Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FT-IR),UV-vis spectrophotometer,zeta po-tential,and contact angle measurements were used to reveal the effects of surface oxidation and agent adsorption on pyrite at high altitude(4600 m dissolved oxygen(DO)=4.0 mg/L).The results of pure mineral flotation indicated that the high altitude and low dissolved oxy-gen environment is favorable for pyrite *** angle measurements and XPS analysis showed that the high altitude atmosphere nslows down the oxidation of pyrite surface,facilitates S_(n)^(2-)/S^(0) production and enhances surface *** calcula-tions and zeta potential analysis showed that the influence of atmosphere on the form of pyrite adsorption is small,and the different atmo-spheric conditions are consistent with dixanthogen electrochemical adsorption,with lower Zeta potential under high altitude atmosphere and significant potential shift after sodium isobutyl xanthate(SIBX)*** results of FT-IR,UV-vis,and AFM analysis showed that SIBX adsorbed more on the surface of pyrite under high altitude atmosphere and adsorbed on the surface in a mesh structure com-posed of column/*** results of the experimental study revealed the reasons for the easy flotation of sul

Single nanozyme-based colorimetric biosensor for dopamine with enhanced selectivity via reactivity of oxidation intermediates

Reliable and selective sensing of dopamine(DA)is essential for early diagnosis of mental *** the various potential methods,nanozyme-based sensing systems have demonstrated promising sensitivity and ***,owing to the lack of substrate specificity,it is challenging to selectively detect DA using ***,based on the reactivity of the DA oxidation intermediates,we report a cascade colorimetric sensing system for the selective detection of DA using only a single *** was disclosed that the oxidation product of DA catalyzed by Co-N-doped carbon sheets(Co-N-C,a common oxidase-like nanozyme),dopamine quinone(DAQ),showed significant biocatalytic electron-donating activity in the reduction of O_(2)to generate O_(2)·-.Further using O_(2)·-to oxidize3,3,5,5-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB),a colorimetric sensing platform for DA was constructed with a linear detection range of 50 nmol/L to 50μmol/L and a low limit of detection of 4 nmol/*** to the reactivity of the oxidation product,without any biometric units(such as nucleic acids,enzymes,and antibodies/antigens),the reaction selectivity of DA against other interferences(e.g.,ascorbic acid,adrenaline,5-hydroxytryptamine,and glutathione)was enhanced up to *** complicated cascade systems requiring at least two nanozymes,sophisticated artificial recognition via multiple interactions was simplified by exploiting the oxidative properties of product intermediates;thus,only a single common oxidase-like nanozyme was *** work offers a new strategy to enhance the selectivity of nanozymes for bioanalytical applications.

Contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(CE-MRI) is a pivotal tool for global disease diagnosis and management. Since its clinical availability in 2009, the off-label use of ferumoxytol for ferumoxytol-enhanced MRI(FE-MRI) has significantly reshaped CE-MRI practices. Unlike MRI that is enhanced by gadolinium-based contrast agents, FE-MRI offers advantages such as reduced contrast agent dosage, extended imaging windows, no nephrotoxicity, higher MRI time efficiency and the capability for molecular imaging. As a leading superparamagnetic iron oxide contrast agent, ferumoxytol is heralded as the next generation of contrast agents. This review delineates the pivotal clinical applications and inherent technical superiority of FE-MRI, providing an avant-garde medical-engineering interdisciplinary lens, thus bridging the gap between clinical demands and engineering innovations. Concurrently, we spotlight the emerging imaging themes and new technical breakthroughs. Lastly, we share our own insights on the potential trajectory of FE-MRI, shedding light on its future within the medical imaging realm.

Search for an exotic vectorlike X-quark in same-sign dilepton final states at the future 3 TeV CLIC

Vectorlike quarks(VLQs)with masses at the TeV-scale have been predicted in many new physics scenarios beyond the Standard Model(SM).Based on a simplified(X,T)doublet model including the exotic vectorlike X quark(VLQ-X)with an electric charge 5/3,we study the production of the VLQ-X decaying into tW at the future Compact Linear Collider(CLIC)with √s=3 TeV including the initial state radiation and beamstrahlung *** focus on the final signals,including same-sign dileptons(electrons or muons),at least one b-tagged jet,and large missing transverse *** performing detailed signal-to-background analyses and detector simulations,we obtain the 2σexclusion capabilities and discovery reaches,respectively,on the mass of the VLQ-Xmx as well as the relevant parameters(Br(X→_(t)W))for mx≥1500GeV and the coupling strength g^(*) for mx≥1500 GeV)for some typical luminosities at the 3 TeV CLIC.

Synergy Between Soft Feet and an Active Tail to Enhance the Climbing Ability of a bio-inspired Climbing Robot

Lizards use the synergy between their feet and tail to climb on slopes and vertical *** use their soft adhesive feet with millions of small hairs to increase their contact area with the terrain surface and press their tails against the terrain to actively maintain stability during *** by this,we propose a bio-inspired climbing robot based on a new approach wherein the synergy between soft feet and an active tail with a soft adhesive tip allows the robot to climb stably on even and uneven terrains at different slope *** evaluate and compare the climbing performance of the robot on three different terrains(hard,soft,and fluffy)at different slope *** robot configurations are employed,including those with standard hard feet and soft feet in combination with an active tail-with and without a soft *** experimental results show that the robot having soft feet and a tail with the soft tip achieves the best climbing performance on all terrains,with maximum climbing slopes of 40°,45°,and 50°on fluffy,soft,and hard terrains,*** payload capacity depends on the type of terrain and the inclination ***,our robot performs multi-terrain transitions(climbing from horizontal to sloped terrains)on three different terrains of a *** approach can allow a climbing robot to walk and climb on different terrains,extending the operational range of the robot to areas with complex terrains and slopes,e.g.,in inspection,exploration,and construction.

Stability and transepithelial transport of oligopeptide(KRQKYD)with hepatocyte-protective activity from Jinhua ham in human intestinal Caco-2 monolayer cells

The study evaluated the stability of an oligopeptide(Lys-Arg-Gln-Lys-Tyr-Asp,KRQKYD)and its transport mechanism by simulating gastrointestinal digestion and a model of human intestinal Caco-2 monolayer cells in *** this study,the effects of environmental factors(temperature,pH and NaCl concentration)and simulated gastrointestinal digestion on the stability of KRQKYD were evaluated by indicators of the levels of alanine transaminase(ALT),aspartate transaminase(AST)and malondialdehyde(MDA)in an alcoholinduced hepatocyte injury *** results showed that KRQKYD still maintained satisfactory hepatocyteprotective activity after treatment with different temperatures(20-80℃),pH(3.0-9.0),NaCl concentration(1%-7%)and simulated gastrointestinal digestion,which indicated that KRQKYD showed good stability to environmental factors and simulated gastrointestinal ***,the intact KRQKYD could be absorbed in a model of Caco-2 monolayer cells with a P_(app)value of(9.70±0.53)×10^(-7)cm/*** with an energy inhibitor(sodium azide),a competitive peptide transporter inhibitor(Gly-Pro)and a transcytosis inhibitor wortmannin did not decrease the level of transepithelial KRQKYD transport,indicating that the transport mechanism of KRQKYD was not associated with energy dependent,vector mediated and *** tight junction disruptor cytochalasin D significantly increased the level of transepithelial KRQKYD transport(P<0.05),suggesting that intact KRQKYD was absorbed by paracellular transport.

Enzymatic self-assembly/disassembly turns “ON”/“OFF” the mimetic hydrolytic activity of histidine nanofibers

Mimetic enzymes are devised as alternates or supplements of natural enzymes in broad fields but regulating their activities in a switchable manner remains ***,we proposed an enzymatic self-assembly/disassembly strategy to address this issue.A peptide molecule Nap FFEYIH(YH) was rationally designed which,after self-assembling into nanofibers,lined up the histidine moieties to form active hydrolysis centers for mimicking hydrolase *** dephosphorylation of Nap FFEYp IH(Yp H) by alkaline phosphatase to yield YH also turned “ON” the hydrolase *** turn,phosphorylation of YH by phosphokinase epidermal growth factor receptor to yield Yp H disassembled the nanofibers and thus turned the activity “OFF”.As such,the “ON”/“OFF” of the mimetic hydrolase activities could be regulated under physiological conditions through ALP/EGFR-mediated self-assembly/disassembly of histidine *** work provides a feasible strategy for the on-demand fabrication of artificial enzymes with controllable and superior activities.

CuO/Co3O4 Bifunctional Catalysts for Electrocatalytic5-Hydroxymethylfurfural Oxidation Coupled Cathodic Ammonia Production

The electrochemical coupling of biomass oxidation and nitrogen conversion presents a potential strategy for high value-added chemicals and nitrogen cycling. Herein, in this work, CuO/Co3O4with heterogeneous interface is successfully constructed as a bifunctional catalyst for the electrooxidation of5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid and the electroreduction of nitrate to ammonia （NH3）. The open-circuit potential spontaneous experiment shows that more 5-hydroxymethylfurfural molecules are adsorbed in the Helmholtz layer of the CuO/Co3O4composite, which certifies that the CuO/Co3O4heterostructure is conducive to the kinetic adsorption of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. In situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy further shows that CuO/Co3O4has faster reaction kinetics and lower reaction potential in oxygen evolution reaction and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural electrocatalytic oxidation. Moreover, CuO/Co3O4also has a good reduction effect on NO3-. The ex-situ Raman spectroscopy shows that under the reduction potential, the metal oxide is reduced, and the generated Cu2O can be used as a new active site for the reaction to promote the electrocatalytic conversion of NO3-to NH3synthesis. This work provides valuable guidance for the synthesis of value-added chemicals by 5-hydroxymethylfurfural electrocatalytic oxidation coupled with NO3-while efficiently producing NH3.

Proteomics Study of Benzene Metabolite Hydroquinone Induced Hematotoxicity in K562 Cells

Objective Hydroquinone(HQ),one of the phenolic metabolites of benzene,is widely recognized as an important participant in benzene-induced ***,there are few relevant proteomics in HQ-induced hematotoxicity and the mechanism hasn’t been fully understood *** In this study,we treated K562 cells with 40μmol/L HQ for 72 h,examined and validated protein expression changes by Label-free proteomic analysis and Parallel reaction monitoring(PRM),and performed bioinformatics analysis to identify interaction *** One hundred and eighty-seven upregulated differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)and 279 downregulated DEPs were identified in HQ-exposed K562 cells,which were involved in neutrophilmediated immunity,blood microparticle,and other GO terms,as well as the lysosome,metabolic,cell cycle,and cellular senescence-related *** on the 23 DEGs and 5 DEPs in erythroid differentiation-related pathways,we constructed the network of protein interactions and determined 6 DEPs(STAT1,STAT3,CASP3,KIT,STAT5B,and VEGFA)as main hub proteins with the most interactions,among which STATs made a central impact and may be potential biomarkers of HQ-induced *** Our work reinforced the use of proteomics and bioinformatic approaches to advance knowledge on molecular mechanisms of HQ-induced hematotoxicity at the protein level and provide a valuable basis for further clarification.
