How galaxies assemble masses through their own star formation or interaction with the external environment is still an important topic in the field of galaxy formation and *** use Value Added Catalogs with galaxy features that are spatially and temporally resolved from Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 17 to investigate the mass growth histories of early-type galaxies(ETGs)and late-type galaxies(LTGs).We find that the mass growth of ETGs is earlier than that of LTGs for massive galaxies(M_(*)>10^(10)M_⊙),while low-mass(M_(*)≤10^(10)M_⊙)ETGs have statistically similar mass assembly histories as low-mass *** stellar metallicity of all massive galaxies shows a negative gradient and basically does not change with ***,in low-mass galaxies,the stellar metallicity gradient of elliptical galaxies is negative,and the stellar metallicity gradient of lenticular and spiral galaxies evolves from positive to *** are not all in a high-density environment,but exhibit mass *** the tidal strength increases,the star formation rate of low-mass ETGs rapidly *** results support a picture where massive galaxies exhibit inside-out quenching mode,while low-mass galaxies show outside-in quenching *** effects play an important role in regulating the mass assembly histories of low-mass ETGs.

Plant-derived nanovesicles(PDNVs)derived from natural green products have emerged as an attractive nanoplatform in biomedical *** are usually characterized by unique structural and biological functions,such as the bioactive lipids/proteins/nucleic acids as therapeutics and targeting groups,immune-modulation,and long-term *** the rapid development of nanotechnology,materials,and synthetic chemistry,PDNVs can be engineered with multiple functions for efficient drug delivery and specific killing of diseased cells,which represent an innovative biomaterial with high biocompatibility for fighting against *** this review,we provide an overview of the state-of-theart studies concerning the development of PDNVs for cancer *** original sources,methods for obtaining PDNVs,composition and structure are introduced *** an emphasis on the featured application,the inherent anticancer properties of PDNVs as well as the strategies in constructing multifunctional PDNVs-based nanomaterials will be discussed in ***,some scientific issues and technical challenges of PDNVs as promising options in improving anticancer therapy will be discussed,which are expected to promote the further development of PDNVs in clinical translation.

In the pursuit of high-performance single-molecule magnets(SMMs),incorporating intramolecular magnetic coupling emerges as a pivotal *** these,d-f SMMs have garnered significant attention due to their remarkable versatility,which lies in their ability to tune coordination environments and facilely substitute metal ***,achieving performance-centric d-f SMMs through the synergistic interplay between highly anisotropic f ions and d-f magnetic interactions remains a formidable *** mononuclear hexagonal bipyramidal(D_(6h))Dy^(Ⅲ)SMMs have been successfully isolated,the exploration of d-f SMMs featuring D_(6h)-lanthanide metal centers remains uncharted *** this study,we employed planar bipodal ligands in conjunction with“staple-like”axial phenoxide ligands to synthesize the first hexagonal bipyramidal d-f ***,this compound exhibits alternating-current magnetic susceptibilities peaking up to 68 K with an energy barrier surpassing 1,200 K,thus establishing a new benchmark within the heterometallic d-f SMM landscape inclusive of complexes with diamagnetic d metals and paramagnetic f ***,the ferromagnetic interaction at the d-f sites engenders oscillating relaxation times contingent on the magnetic field—a characteristic distinct from mononuclear *** findings shed light on a deliberate design approach for d-f SMMs,emphasizing the cooperative utilization of high-barrier lanthanide modules alongside d ions through magnetic *** synergy significantly enhances and diversifies the magnetic dynamics of these intriguing molecular systems.

Spin-crossover(SCO)materials with light-induced multistability have potential applications in multi-addressable opto-magnetic memory devices and multiple ***,we reported a three-dimensional Hofmann-type metal-organic framework(MOF)[Fe(bpy){Pt(CN)_(4)}]·coumarin(1·coumarin,bpy=4,4′-bipyridine),which exhibits an incomplete and hysteretic SCO *** importantly,the light-induced stepped thermal relaxation(LISTR)with obvious magnetic plateau for a hidden intermediate spin state is firstly *** hidden spin state is also observed for the first time in the thermal relaxation after light-assisted spin state annealing(LASSA).Meanwhile,an extremely rare bi-directional light-induced excited spin-state trapping(LIESST)with the highest reverse-LIESST temperature is ***,five spin states can be captured in 1·coumarin and the tristability can be modulated below 102 K through the excitation-relaxation ***,the light-and temperatureinduced multistability provides a new strategy for developing multistable materials.

Aerogel fibers, distinguished by their lightweight nature, pronounced porosity, large surface area, and superior thermal insulation properties, have diversified applications in thermal management, energy devices, and environmental remediation[1]. However, compared with monolithic ones, these fibershaped aerogels exhibit limited mechanical strength and resilience due to their one-dimensional small size.

Icariin, a flavonoid glycoside, is extracted from Epimedium. This study aimed to investigate the vascular protective effects of icariin in type 1 diabetic rats by inhibiting high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1)-related inflammation and exploring its potential mechanisms. The impact of icariin on vascular dysfunction was assessed in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats through vascular reactivity studies. Western blotting and immunofluorescence assays were performed to measure the expressions of target proteins. The release of HMGB1 and pro-inflammation cytokines were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results revealed that icariin administration enhanced acetylcholine-induced vasodilation in the aortas of diabetic rats. It also notably reduced the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-8 (IL-8), IL-6, IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) in diabetic rats and high glucose (HG)-induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). The results also unveiled that the pro-inflammatory cytokines in the culture medium of HUVECs could be increased by rHMGB1. The increased release of HMGB1 and upregulated expressions of HMGB1-related inflammatory factors, including advanced glycation end products (RAGE), Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), and phosphorylated p65 (p-p65) in diabetic rats and HG-induced HUVECs, were remarkably suppressed by icariin. Notably, HMGB1 translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm in HUVECs under HG was inhibited by icariin. Meanwhile, icariin could activate G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER) and sirt1. To explore the role of GPER and Sirt1 in the inhibitory effect of icariin on HMGB1 release and HMGB-induced inflammation, GPER inhibitor and Sirt1 inhibitor were used in this study. These inhibitors diminished the effects of icariin on HMGB1 release and HMGB1-induced inflammation. Specifically, the GPER inhibitor also negated the activation of Sirt1 by icariin. Microplastics(MPs)and nanoplastics(NPs)have become hazardous materials due to the massive amount of plastic waste and disposable masks,but their specific health effects remain *** this study,fluorescence-labeled polystyrene NPs(PS-NPs)were injected into the circulatory systems of mice to determine the distribution and potential toxic effects of NPs in ***,whole-body imaging found that PS-NPs accumulated in the testes of ***,the toxic effects of PS-NPs on the reproduction systems and the spermatocytes cell line of male mice,and their mechanisms,were *** oral exposure to PS-NPs,their spermatogenesis was affected and the spermatogenic cells were *** spermatocyte cell line GC-2 was exposed to PS-NPs and analyzed using RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)to determine the toxic mechanisms;a ferroptosis pathway was found after PS-NP *** phenomena and indicators of ferroptosis were then determined and verified by ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1(Fer-1),and it was also found that nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)played an important role in spermatogenic cell ferroptosis induced by ***,it was confirmed in vivo that this mechanism of Nrf2 played a protective role in PS-NPs-induced male reproductive *** study demonstrated that PS-NPs induce male reproductive dysfunction in mice by causing spermatogenic cell ferroptosis dependent on Nrf2.
