Exploring the emergence and maintenance of cooperation in social dilemma is valuable and it arises considerable concerns of many researchers. In this paper, we propose a mechanism to promote cooperation, called benefit community,in which cooperators linking together form a common benefit community and all their payoffs obtained from game are divided coequally. The robustness of conclusions is tested for the PDG(prisoners' dilemma game) on square lattice and WS small world network. We find that cooperation can be promoted by this typical mechanism, especially, it can diffuse and prevail more easily and rapidly on the WS small world network than it on the square lattice, even if a big temptation to defect b. Our research provides a feasible direction to resolve the social dilemma.

Capacity acquisition and pricing decisions are a company＇s long-term strategic decisions. However, demand uncertainty and substitutability of multiple products cause the difficulty to solve capacity and pricing decision problems. In this paper, we address a multiple product pricing and multiple resource capacity acquisition problem with *** and competition. The company needs to determine capacity commitment for each resource and product prices before demands are realized so that the total profit is maximized. If the demand exceeds the committed capacity, extra amounts can be purchased from the spot market. Variable unit production costs, capacity acquisition and maintenance costs are considered. We first analyze a single company basic problem and find the optimal solutions on prices and capacity. Based on the single company model, we address the two-product, two-firm capacity commitment and pricing problem considering across product and across company price competition factors. The existence and uniqueness of equilibrium on price and capacity commitment are proved, and then we extended the results to the multiple product, multiple company case.

Using system clustering method to group China's provinces into 3 new groups according to their housing prices, then establishing a state-space model and applying the Kalman filter calculation, we made a comparative analysis of the influences of different types of monetary policy instruments towards different regional housing prices. The empirical results show that both the quantitative instruments represented by M2 and the pricing instruments represented by real interest rate have increasing influences on different regional housing prices,but the former influence is much stronger than the latter. The influential differences of quantitative instruments to regional housing prices are much greater. It means the higher the regional housing price is, the greater the influence is. Therefore, the central bank shall optimize the combination of monetary policy instruments according to the above characteristics of different types of monetary policy instruments in order to acquire the regulatory target of real estate market.

A series of studies demonstrate that consumers have fairness judgments about the retailer＇s price which will impact their shopping decisions. Thus, it is necessary for the retailer to take consumers＇ fairness concerns into account when setting his pricing policies. We assume that when the retailer＇s price is lower than a consumer＇s justice reference price, the consumer is likely to sense a positive price unfairness that will lead to increased consumer utility, and when the retailer＇s price is higher than a consumer＇s justice reference price, the consumer is likely to sense a negative price unfairness-that will have a negative effect on consumer utility. According to the information conditions of the consumers＇ justice reference price, the retailer should consider three situations： certain information, random information and partial information. In all situations, we show that the retailer has a unique optimal pricing strategy. Finally, through numerical examples, we find that our distribution-free policies perform almost the same as the results under the distributions that maximize the entropy. Our results reveal that it is important for the retailer to consider consumers＇ fairness concerns, otherwise he may suffer losses when Pc is very small.

In solving small- to medium-scale travelling salesman problems （TSPs） of both symmetric and asymmetric types, the traditional ant colony optimization （ACO） algorithm could work well, providing high accuracy and satisfactory efficiency. However, when the scale of the TSP increases, ACO, a heuristic algorithm, is greatly challenged with respect to accuracy and efficiency. A novel pheromone-trail updating strategy that moderately reduces the iteration time required in real optimization problem-solving is proposed. In comparison with the traditional strategy of the ACO in several experiments, the proposed strategy shows advantages in performance. Therefore, this strategy of pheromone-trail updating is proposed as a valuable approach that reduces the time-complexity and increases its efficiency with less iteration time in real optimization applications. Moreover, this strategy is especially applicable in solving the moderate large-scale TSPs based on ACO.

Mechanisms of Collaboration in the Hotel Supply Chain:Two-Stage Ordering Contract and Option Contract

This paper considers a hotel supply chain consisting of a hotel and an online travel agent （OTA） for the distribution of a limited number of rooms through both offline and online channels. Under the merchant cooperation assumption, to overcome the disadvantages of the decentralized decision model and demand uncertainty, two collaboration mechanisms, namely a two-stage ordering contract and an option contract, are introduced to increase the profit in the hotel supply chain. This paper investigates the optimal decisions of the hotel and the OTA under different contract models. Moreover, the authors analyze the effect of demand uncertainty and the interaction of demand variability and the hotel＇s capacity on the profits of the hotel and the OTA under different models. The results show that both the two-stage ordering contract and the option contract can increase the profits of the entire supply chain and the hotel; however, the profit of the OTA can be increased through the two-stage ordering contract and option contract only when the hotel＇s capacity is relatively small and the demand variability is big; otherwise, the two collaboration mechanisms cannot increase the OTA＇s profit.

Interregional compensation for farmland protection:From the perspective of farmland allocation optimization

Interregional compensation for farmland protection(IRCFP)is a policy instrument for encouraging farmland protection through interregional fiscal transfer *** practices and studies on IRCFP have generally determined the payers and recipients of compensation based on the present distribution of farmland,and the compensation standards did not combine farmland development right value with farmland deficit and surplus,resulting in insignificant effects on farmland protection and even policy ***,in this study,we proposed an interregional compensation mechanism for farmland protection based on farmland allocation optimization by considering 31 provincial-level regions in *** results showed that(1)the determination of farmland surplus or deficit areas based on farmland allocation optimization met the regional construction land demand from the perspective of achieving food security.(2)The combination of the compensation value standard and cropland deficit and surplus had a positive effect on farmland protection.(3)Interregional compensation for farmland protection based on farmland allocation optimization can coordinate economic development,farmland protection,and ecological ***,we discussed the rationality of interregional compensation for farmland protection based on farmland allocation optimization and designed the operation mechanism of IRCFP.

How does government environmental regulation "unlock" carbon emission effect?——evidence from China

The disordered emission of carbon dioxide is an important sign of market failure, making it a must to "unlock" the high emission effect of carbon dioxide by effective means. From the perspective of technological innovation, on the basis of the data of time series from 1985 to 2014 in Beijing, China,this article empirically analyzed the relationship between environmental regulation and carbon emissions through VAR model, impulse response function, and variance decomposition. It is concluded that in a short term, environmental regulation has an inhibitory effect on carbon emissions and technological innovation and has a positive effect on industrial structure. In a long term,environmental regulation can enhance the technological innovation and reduce the effect of carbon emissions, which may even eliminate it. Generally, environmental regulation and technological innovation have a greater impact on carbon dioxide emissions, while the industrial structure has a relatively small effect. Finally, the targeted countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.

Modeling optimal oil production paths under risk service contracts

Due to the rigorous fiscal terms and huge potential risk of risk service contracts,optimizing oil production paths is one of the main challenges in designing oilfield development *** this paper,an oil production path optimization model is developed to maximize economic benefits within constraints of technology factors and oil *** analysis describes the effects of risk service contract terms on parameters of inputs and outputs and quantifies the relationships between production and production time,revenues,investment and *** oil service development and production project is illustrated in which the optimal production path under its own geological conditions and contract terms is *** influences of oil price,service fees per barrel and operating costs on the optimal production have been examined by sensitivity *** results show that the oil price has the largest impact on the optimal production,which is negatively related to oil price and positively related to service fees per barrel and operating costs.
