Two-dimensional(2D)tungsten selenide(WSe_(2))is promising candidate material for future electronic applications,owing to its potential for ultimate device *** improving the electronic performance of WSe_(2)-based field-effect transistors(FETs),the modification of surface properties is *** this study,the seamless structural phase transition in WSe_(2) lattice is achieved by soft oxygen plasma,regulating the electrical conductance of WSe_(2)-based *** found that during the soft oxygen plasma treatment with optimal processing time,the generated oxygen ions can substitute some selenium atoms and thus locally modify the bond length,inducing 2H→1T phase transition in WSe_(2) with seamless *** mosaic structures have been proven to tailor the electronic structure and increase the hole carrier concentration inside WSe_(2),significantly increasing the channel conductance of WSe_(2) *** the further increase of the oxygen plasma treatment time,the creation of more selenium vacancy defects leads to the electronic doping,resulting in the reduction of *** from the hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)encapsulation to interrupt the partial structural relaxation from 1T to 2H phase,our WSe_(2) FET exhibits high electronic stability with conductance of 6.8×10^(-4) S,which is about four orders of magnitude higher than 2H WSe_(2)(5.8×10^(-8) S).This study could further broaden the WSe_(2) FETs in applications for functionalization and integration in electronics.

Composite Converter Combined APFC with Switched-capacitor Converter

To reduce switch numbers and voltage stress in semiconductor devices,this paper proposes a novel single-phase converter combined Active Power Factor Correction(APFC)with switched-capacitor *** addition,dynamic voltage regulation and voltage gain are improved by integrating the boost converter and switching capacitor *** interstage bulk capacitor is no longer *** average current control with redistribution of voltage in cells is proposed to obtain voltage lift ability of the switching capacitor cells and maintain a high-power *** study and verify the proposed converter preliminarily,theoretical analysis and simulation are presented in the ***,a 50o W prototype with two different configurations is built for experimental *** proposed converter can reach 95.62%of maximum efficiency,0.99 of power factor,and 3.55%of THD with 600 V output voltage,simultaneously.

Synchronization and firing mode transition of two neurons in a bilateral auditory system driven by a high–low frequency signal

The FitzHugh–Nagumo neuron circuit integrates a piezoelectric ceramic to form a piezoelectric sensing neuron,which can capture external sound signals and simulate the auditory neuron *** piezoelectric sensing neurons are coupled by a parallel circuit consisting of a Josephson junction and a linear resistor,and a binaural auditory system is *** the non-singleness of external sound sources,the high–low frequency signal is used as the input signal to study the firing mode transition and synchronization of this *** is found that the angular frequency of the high–low frequency signal is a key factor in determining whether the dynamic behaviors of two coupled neurons are *** they are in synchronization at a specific angular frequency,the changes in physical parameters of the input signal and the coupling strength between them will not destroy their *** addition,the firing mode of two coupled auditory neurons in synchronization is affected by the characteristic parameters of the high–low frequency signal rather than the coupling *** asynchronous dynamic behavior and variations in firing modes will harm the auditory *** findings could help determine the causes of hearing loss and devise functional assistive devices for patients.

Detecting the quantum phase transition from the perspective of quantum information in the Aubry–André model

We investigate the effectiveness of entropic uncertainty, entanglement and steering in discerning quantum phase transitions(QPTs). Specifically, we observe significant fluctuations in entropic uncertainty as the driving parameter traverses the phase transition point. It is observed that the entropic uncertainty, entanglement and quantum steering, based on the electron distribution probability, can serve as indicators for detecting QPTs. Notably, we reveal an intriguing anticorrelation relationship between entropic uncertainty and entanglement in the Aubry–André model. Moreover, we explore the feasibility of detecting a QPT when the period parameter is a rational number. These observations open up new and efficient avenues for probing QPTs.

Fabrication and Properties of a New Reactive Diluent for Cationic UV Curing

The reactive diluent prepared by siloxane modified Trimethylene oxide can improve the performance of the UV curing ***,1,7-bis[(3-ethyl-3-methoxyoxacylobutane)propyl]octadecylosiloxane(BEMOPOMTS)was synthesized from diethyl carbonate,trimethylopropanes,allyl bromide,and 1,1,3,3,5,5,7,7-octadecylosiloxane as the main raw *** can be used as reactive diluents in the field of cationic UV *** has good thermal stability,and the addition of BEMOPOMTS significantly improves the tensile strength and elongation at break of epoxy *** with the pure epoxy resin,adding 20%BEMOPOMTS increased the elastic modulus by 25%to 677 MPa.

Preliminary analyses of the dynamics and thermodynamics of rotating regular black holes

We investigate the dynamic and thermodynamic laws governing rotating regular black *** analyzing dynamic properties,i.e.,the interaction between scalar particles and rotating regular black holes,we establish the criteria that determine whether such black holes satisfy the laws of *** addition,we provide the general form of conserved quantities related to rotating regular black holes,including the relevant flows associated with neutral scalar ***,we reexamine the relationship between the third law of thermodynamics and weak cosmic censorship conjecture for rotating regular black *** on the abovementioned criteria,we discuss the laws of thermodynamics for three models of rotating regular black holes:Rotating Hayward black holes,Kerr black-bounce solutions,and loop quantum gravity black *** findings indicate that none of the three models satisfies the first law of *** particular,the first and third models fail to comply with the three laws of thermodynamics,whereas the second model satisfies only the second and third laws of ***,we attempt to rescue the laws of thermodynamics by modifying entropy or extending the phase ***,the two scenarios cannot ensure the three laws of thermodynamics in the three models,which reveals an unusual property of rotating regular black holes.

Simultaneous guidance of electromagnetic and elastic waves via glide symmetry phoxonic crystal waveguides

A phoxonic crystal waveguide with the glide symmetry is designed,in which both electromagnetic and elastic waves can propagate along the glide plane at the same *** to the glide symmetry,the bands of the phoxonic crystal super-cell degenerate in pairs at the boundary of the Brillouin *** is the so-called band-sticking effect and it causes the appearance of gapless *** adjusting the magnitude of the glide dislocation the edge bandgaps,the bandgap of the guided-modes at the boundary of the Brillouin zone,can be further *** photonic and phononic guided-modes can then possess only one mode for a certain frequency with relatively low group velocities,achieving single-mode guided-bands with relatively flat dispersion *** addition,there exists acousto-optic interaction in the cavity constructed by the glide *** proposed waveguide has potential applications in the design of novel optomechanical devices.

Theoretical characterization of the adsorption configuration of pyrrole on Si(100)surface by x-ray spectroscopy

The possible configurations of pyrrole absorbed on a Si(100)surface have been investigated by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and near-edge x-ray absorption fine structure(NEXAFS)*** C-1s XPS and NEXAFS spectra of these adsorption configurations have been calculated by using the density functional theory(DFT)method and fullcore hole(FCH)approximation to investigate the relationship between the adsorption configurations and the *** result shows that the XPS and NEXAFS spectra are structurally dependent on the configurations of pyrrole absorbed on the Si(100)*** with the XPS,the NEXAFS spectra are relatively sensitive to the adsorption configurations and can accurately identify *** NEXAFS decomposition spectra produced by non-equivalent carbon atoms have also been calculated and show that the spectral features vary with the diverse types of carbon atoms and their structural environments.

Enhancing quantum metrology for multiple frequencies of oscillating magnetic fields by quantum control

Quantum multi-parameter estimation has recently attracted increased attention due to its wide applications, with a primary goal of designing high-precision measurement schemes for unknown parameters. While existing research has predominantly concentrated on time-independent Hamiltonians, little has been known about quantum multi-parameter estimation for time-dependent Hamiltonians due to the complexity of quantum dynamics. This work bridges the gap by investigating the precision limit of multi-parameter quantum estimation for a qubit in an oscillating magnetic field model with multiple unknown frequencies. As the well-known quantum Cramer–Rao bound is generally unattainable due to the potential incompatibility between the optimal measurements for different parameters, we use the most informative bound instead which is always attainable and equivalent to the Holevo bound in the asymptotic limit. Moreover, we apply additional Hamiltonian to the system to engineer the dynamics of the qubit. By utilizing the quasi-Newton method, we explore the optimal schemes to attain the highest precision for the unknown frequencies of the magnetic field, including the simultaneous optimization of initial state preparation, the control Hamiltonian and the final measurement. The results indicate that the optimization can yield much higher precisions for the field frequencies than those without the optimizations. Finally,we study the robustness of the optimal control scheme with respect to the fluctuation of the interested frequencies, and the optimized scheme exhibits superior robustness to the scenario without any optimization.

Light correcting light with nonlinear optics

Structured light, where complex optical fields are tailored in all their degrees of freedom, has become highly topical of late, advanced by a sophisticated toolkit comprising both linear and nonlinear *** undesired structure from light is far less developed, leveraging mostly on inverting the distortion,e.g., with adaptive optics or the inverse transmission matrix of a complex channel, both requiring that the distortion be fully characterized through appropriate measurement. We show that distortions in spatially structured light can be corrected through difference-frequency generation in a nonlinear crystal without any need for the distortion to be known. We demonstrate the versatility of our approach using a wide range of aberrations and structured light modes, including higher-order orbital angular momentum(OAM) beams,showing excellent recovery of the original undistorted field. To highlight the efficacy of this process, we deploy the system in a prepare-and-measure communications link with OAM, showing minimal cross talk even when the transmission channel is highly aberrated, and outline how the approach could be extended to alternative experimental modalities and nonlinear processes. Our demonstration of light-correcting light without the need for measurement opens an approach to measurement-free error correction for classical and quantum structured light, with direct applications in imaging, sensing, and communication.
