The application of environment-behavior studies plays an important role in studying the renewal of *** of the most humane ways of renewal is designing and constructing the necessary urban spatial environment from the perspective of human daily *** of the shantytown renovation projects currently carried out in China are mainly focused on demolition and reconstruction,which not only incurs high costs but also damages the original social structure and economic *** the process of shantytown renewal,it should improve the urban landscape,living environment,and life quality of residents,and ensure the daily life of shantytown residents without increasing their economic burden,and preserve the traces of urban *** order to achieve this goal,it should explore the renewal strategies of shantytowns from the perspective of environment-behavior studies through behavior maps,on-site research,and literature *** and design from a human perspective often achieve faster and better development;the renewal of shantytowns should be a bottom-up approach and start from a grassroots perspective,completing the renovation design through the composition of the population and behavioral patterns.

Urban Spatial Form Optimization Strategies Based on the Principle of Climate Adaptability of Regional architecture: A Case Study of Traditional Cave Dwelling Villages in Northern Shaanxi Province

A multitude of climate-adaptive design approaches are embedded in regional architecture,which have a positive impact on addressing the deformed development of urban spatial patterns and the dual challenges of climate and *** paper examines the principles of climate adaptability embedded in the site layout and spatial organization characteristics of traditional cave dwelling villages in northern Shaanxi *** extracted climate adaptability principles are summarized,and the resulting design strategies that are well-suited to the contemporary urban space form are *** analysis,it can be observed that traditional cave dwelling villages in northern Shaanxi are predominantly situated on south-facing slopes in proximity to water at low *** villages are characterized by compact building groups and east-west development,which is constrained by the elements of mountains and rivers.A two-level street system is generated,comprising streets parallel to the contour line and roadways perpendicular to the contour *** results in the formation of a courtyard form enclosed by *** site layout and spatial organization exhibit excellent climate adaptability with regard to heat,ventilation,and wind *** light of the aforementioned considerations,the following urban spatial form design strategies are put forth:①the topographic height difference can be exploited to obtain sufficient sunshine;②the group shape can be optimized in order to reduce building energy consumption;③the best orientation of the building can be chosen to take account of both winter and summer conditions;④the height and length can be combined in order to form natural masking;⑤the D/H ratio of streets and roadways should be controlled to achieve a balance between heat gain and cooling of groups;⑥vents should be set appropriately to optimize group ventilation;⑦climate buffers should be established to increase the level of climate response.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are instrumental in balancing the operation of the transportation networks and grids for the dual attribute of power and traffic load. Current research community has gained significant efforts on key technologies for the integration of electric vehicle-charging station-transportation network-grid (VSNGI). Therefore， a synthetic review on this domain is needed. In this context， the VSNGI research included in the Web of Science (WOS) was synthetically analyzed using bibliometric methods， the software VOSviewer and CiteSpace. The results show that the internationally interested VSNGI research is in a period of rapid development in terms of publication volume， national， institutional， and journal performance. The cited literature provided work accumulation in five aspects: “the impact and control of EVs on the grid”， “design of EV charging stations”， “integration of charging stations and grids”， “integration of charging stations and transportation networks” and “coupling of the transportation network and grid”. Then， the latest progress was summarized in four aspects: “characterization methods of spatiotemporal features of road network demand and grid load”， “SNG collaborative layout technology”， “VSN orderly guidance technology”， and “VNG interactive response technology”. Lastly， the problems and prospects in the VSNGI research were discussed. The joint efforts of researchers from multiple disciplines are required by the development of the VSNGI field. The VSNGI research will be of crucial significance in the transformation of the transportation field.

Urbanization has profound impacts on ecological *** spaces are a vital component of urban ecosystems and play a crucial role in maintaining ecologi-cal balance and enhancing *** study aimed to investigate the community composition characteristics of butterflies in urban green spaces within the context of rapid ***,it explored the status and dif-ferences in butterfly taxonomic diversity,functional diver-sity,and functional traits among different types of urban green spaces,regions,and urban gradients to provide rel-evant insights for further improving urban green space qual-ity and promoting biodiversity *** conducted a year-long survey of 80 green spaces across different urban Project funding:This work was funded by the National Non Profit Research Institutions of the Chinese Academy of Forestry(CAFYBB2020ZB008),National Natural Science Foundation of China(32371936),and the Research Projects in Anhui Universities in 2022(n atural sciences)(2022AH051874).regions and ring roads within Hefei City,Anhui Province,with monthly sampling intervals over 187 transects.A total of 4822 butterflies,belonging to 5 families,17 subfamilies,40 genera,and 55 species were *** species rich-ness,Shannon,Simpson,functional richness,and Rao’s quadratic entropy indices of butterflies in urban park green spaces were all significantly higher than those in residential and street green spaces(P<0.05).Differences in butterfly diversity and functional traits among different urban regions and ring roads were relatively minor,and small-sized,multi-voltine,and long flying duration butterflies dominated urban green ***,these spaces offer more favorable hab-itats for ***,some residential green spaces and street green spaces demonstrate potential for butterfly conservation.

A major goal of current international urban development and construction is to lower carbon *** exist between the preservation of historic cities and the development of low-carbon cities;however,the relationship between preservation of historic cities and carbon emissions remains *** study focuses on the cities in the“Yellow-Canal-Yangtze”watershed community,which includes the Yellow River Basin,Yangtze River Basin,and the Grand Canal region,and aims to verify the differences in CO_(2) emissions(CE)between historic and non-historic cities through multiple comparisons after ***,Ridge Regression was used to determine the impact and dimensions of the relevant variables associated with the preservation of historic cities on *** with national development goals,this study predicts changes in the CE of historic city preservation under different *** study found significant differences between historic and non-historic cities,as the total CE of historic cities is 2.42 times higher than that of non-historic *** dimension with the largest difference was the CE related to transportation,with aviation emissions of historic cities reaching 15.22 times higher than that of non-historic *** the preservation of historic cities has led to an overall increase in the CE,there is significant potential for CE reduction in land use,transportation infrastructure,and tourism development related to historic city *** the future,historic cities can contribute to China's carbon neutrality and the United Nation's development goals through the creation of larger historical preservation areas,more convenient public transportation,and more vibrant tourism.

Physiological and psychological responses to tended plant communities with varying color characteristics

Exposure to plants has been reported to promote health and reduce stress,and plant color has direct impacts on physical and mental *** used images of common types of tended plant communities in Shenyang,China,with combinations of yellow,green,and red foliage,as experimental stimuli.A total of 27 images were used as visual *** used electroencephalography to measureαwave activity(8-13 Hz)in 40 subjects while they viewed visual *** data were combined with subjective questionnaire data to analyze the relaxing effect of images of tended plant communities with different color types and proportions on *** results revealed that,although there were slight differences between the electroencephalography and psychological findings,women were significantly more relaxed than men after viewing the *** and psychological responses varied with the types and proportions of colors in the tended plant communities:those of foliage with combinations of two or three colors induced stronger responses than images with a single ***,(1)for one-color plant communities,green or yellow plant communities induced a stronger relaxation effect than red plant communities;(2)for two-color plant communities,the optimal color proportion was 55%+45%,and the green+yellow and green+red color combinations induced a stronger relaxation effect;(3)for three-color plant communities,the relaxation effect was strongest when the color proportion was 55%green+25%yellow+20%*** data would provide a plant color matching in future plant landscape design,which may be helpful for creating healthy and relaxing environments.

Mountainous regions have disadvantages in economic development because of harsh physical and climatic ***,winter tourism activities are one of the key components for supporting economic development in the *** a ski resort area supports direct and indirect employment in a region,and it stops immigration from mountainous regions to other *** research aimed to assess the potential ski areas using a multi criteria evaluation technique in the Van region which is located in the eastern part of Tü*** this context,snow cover duration,sun effect,slope,slope length,elevation,population density,distance from main roads and lake visibility were used as input factors in the decision making *** factor was standardized using a fuzzy technique based on existing well-known ski centers in Tü*** weight of inputs was defined by applying a survey to the professional *** most important factors were detected as transportation opportunities and snow covers whereas,the least important factors were elevation and population ***,lake visibility was very important to make a difference from other existing facilities in the ***,it was included as constraints and lake visible areas were extracted at the final stage of the *** ski areas were mapped in three levels as professional,intermediate and beginner *** of the suitable areas was selected as a sample projection and for the 3D simulation of the ski investment *** costs and benefits were *** was found that a ski tourism area investment can be amortized in 3 years in the region.

Spatial-temporal Distribution and Influencing Factors of Urban Carbon Emissions under the Background of Carbon Emission Reduction:A Case Study of Guangxi Autonomous Region

Based on the panel data of Guangxi from 2005 to 2017,the spatiotemporal characteristics and determinants of urban carbon emissions in Guangxi were analyzed using the extended STIRPAT model and the Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression(GTWR)*** main findings of our research can be summarized as *** the total carbon emissions of cities in Guangxi consistently increased from 2005 to 2014,the growth trend slowed after 2014,leading to a stabilization in the total *** addition,there are significant differences in the total carbon emissions among the *** central and northeastern regions have higher emissions,while the southwestern region has lower ***,there are variations in the degrees and directions of the impacts that factors have on carbon emissions among the different time periods and *** land use is a key factor driving carbon emissions,and it has a negative impact on most cities in ***,factors such as industrial structure,population urbanization,population concentration,and economic growth have significant positive effects on carbon emissions in *** influence of urban roads on carbon emissions is generally positive,while the degree of openness to the outside world and environmental regulations has relatively weaker impacts on *** summary,in order to promote the low-carbon transition of Guangxi and achieve high-quality development,the cities in Guangxi should implement differentiated urban carbon reduction strategies that are focused on optimizing urban land use and industrial structure.
