The biological activity of plant polysaccharides can be enhanced by sulfated *** this study,the immunomodulatory effect of sulfated Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharides(SCP3)on macrophages RAW264.7 and its potential molecular mechanism were *** showed that SCP3 at 25-100μg/m L increased viability and improved phagocytosis of RAW264.7 ***,SCP3 could activate mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathways,which increased the phosphorylation of Erk1/2,JNK,p38 and NF-κB p65,promoting secretion of cytokines tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α),interleukin 6(IL-6)and nitric oxide(NO)as well as the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS).In addition,Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)receptor inhibitors were able to block the production of NO and TNF-αby SCP3-stimulated *** on Western blot analysis and validation using specific inhibitors against MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways,the results demonstrated that SCP3 induced macrophages activation and enhanced TNF-αand NO production via TLR4-mediated MAPK and NF-κB *** summary,SCP3 has significant immunomodulatory *** underlying molecular mechanism was that SCP3 activates macrophages via TLR4 receptors to promote ROS production,which in turn activates the downstream MAPK/NF-κB signaling pathway and then increases the secretion levels of cytokines and NO.

Bismuth sodium titanate(BNT)ceramics exhibit outstanding strain responses but are unfavorable for application in high-sensitivity displacement actuators due to the large negative strain resulting from irreversible changes in their phase transition and domain ***,(1−x)Bi_(0.50)Na_(0.41)K_(0.09)TiO_(3)-xNaNbO_(3)(BNKT−xNN)solid solutions were prepared to improve the strain properties through the strategy of modulating the phase boundary and domain *** introduction of sodium niobate could effectively regulate the relative content of the tetragonal(P4bm)and rhombohedral(R3c)phases in the phase boundary *** ferroelectric-to-relaxor phase transition(T_(F−R))was reduced,and the ergodic relaxor(ER)state was nurtured at room *** zero-negative strain properties of S=0.41%and d_(33)^(*)=742 pm/V were achieved from the reversible transition between the ER and ferroelectric states under an applied electric field(x=0.04).Additionally,understanding the domain states via piezoelectric force microscopy(PFM)and firstorder reversal curve(FORC)revealed that the superior strain responses originated from the reversible inter-transformation of substable macrodomains and polar nanoregions(PNRs)in the phase *** study provides new insight into the interplay between the evolution of phase boundaries and domain structures and the strain properties of BNT-based ceramics.

Objective This study aimed to investigate the lipid-lowering activity of LFBEP-C1 in high glucose-fed Caenorhabditis elegans(***).Methods In this study,the fermented barley protein LFBEP-C1 was prepared and tested for its potential anti-obesity effects on *** worms were fed Escherichia coli OP50(*** OP50),glucose,and different concentrations of *** size,lifespan,movement,triglyceride content,and gene expression were *** results were analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey's multiple comparison *** Compared with the model group,the head-swing frequency of *** in the group of LFBEP-C1 at 20μg/mL increased by 33.88%,and the body-bending frequency increased by 27.09%.This indicated that LFBEP-C1 improved the locomotive ability of *** average lifespan of *** reached 13.55 days,and the body length and width of the *** decreased after LFBEP-C1 ***,LFBEP-C1 reduced the content of lipid accumulation and triglyceride *** expression levels of sbp-1,daf-2,and mdt-15 significantly decreased,while those of daf-16,tph-1,mod-1,and ser-4 significantly increased after LFBEP-C1 *** in these genes explain the signaling pathways that regulate lipid *** LFBEP-C1 significantly reduced lipid deposition in *** fed a high-glucose diet and alleviated the adverse effects of a high-glucose diet on the development,lifespan,and exercise behavior of *** addition,LFBEP-C1 regulated lipid metabolism mainly by mediating the expression of genes in the sterol regulatory element-binding protein,insulin,and 5-hydroxytryptamine signaling pathways.

Carbamazepine(CBZ)is an anticonvulsant with very low water solubility,presenting as a white crystalline powder with poor mechanical properties and is hard to *** enhance CBZ's physicochemical properties,such as water solubility and mechanical properties,we selected six cocrystal coformers(CCFs):nicotinamide(NIC),benzamide(BZM),salicylic acid(SCA),fumaric acid(FMA),trimesic acid(TMA),and hesperetin(HPE).Six CBZ cocrystals were successfully prepared using the solution *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),and single crystal X-ray diffraction(SCXRD)were used to characterize the crystal structures and gain comprehensive insights into the six *** mechanical,fluorescence,and solubility properties of the six cocrystals were *** results reveal that most of the prepared cocrystals exhibit improved water solubility and mechanical properties when compared to *** them,the dissolution rate of cocrystals excluded from CBZ-HPE has increased by an average of 3 or 4 times compared to CBZ,while CBZ-HPE exhibits superior mechanical ***,all six cocrystals possess better fluorescence performance than *** thoroughly evaluated the mechanical properties of the cocrystals through both experimental and theoretical *** work provides a new direction for studying drug cocrystals to improve the physicochemical properties of drugs.

Terahertz metamaterial biosensors have attracted significant attention in the biological field due to their advantages of label-free,real-time and in situ *** this paper,a highly sensitive metamaterial sensor with semi-ring mirror symmetry based on toroidal dipole resonance is designed for a new metamaterial *** is shown that a refractive index sensitivity of 337.5 GHz per refractive index unit can be achieved under an analyte of saturated thickness near a 1.33 THz transmission *** biosensor samples where aflatoxin B1 is dropped on the metamaterial surface in our experiment,dip amplitudes of transmission varying from 0.1904 to 0.203 and 0.2093 are observed as aflatoxin B1 concentrations are altered from 0 to 0.001μg·ml-1 and to 0.01μg·ml-1,***,when aflatoxin B1 concentrations are 0.1μg·ml-1,1μg·ml-1,10μg·ml-1 and 100μg·ml-1,dip amplitudes of 0.2179,0.226,0.2384 and 0.2527 and dip redshifts of 10.1 GHz,20.1 GHz,27.7 GHz and 37.6 GHz are respectively *** results illustrate high-sensitivity,label-free detection of aflatoxin B1,enriching the applications of sensors in the terahertz domain.

During wet complexation denitrification of flue gas,Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA regeneration,also known as reducing Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA and Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA-nitric oxide(NO)to Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA,is *** this paper,ultraviolet(UV)light was used for the first time to reduce Fe^(Ⅱ)*** experimental result demonstrated that Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA-NO reduction rate increased with UV power increasing,elevated temperature,and initial Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA-NO concentration ***^(Ⅱ)EDTA-NO reduction rate increased first and then decreased as pH value increased(2.0-10.0).Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA-NO reduction with UV irradiation presented a first order reaction with respect to Fe^(Ⅱ)*** with other Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA regeneration methods,Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA regeneration with UV show more superiority through comprehensive consideration of regeneration rate and ***,NO absorption experiment by Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA solution with UV irradiation confirmed that UV can significantly promote the NO removal performance of Fe^(Ⅱ)*** oxygen concentration(3%(vol))and acidic environment(pH=4)was favorable for NO *** UV power increasing as well as temperature decreasing,NO removal efficiency *** addition,the mechanism research indicates that NO from flue gas is mostly converted to NO_(2)-,NO_(3)-,NH_(4)^(+),N_(2),and N_(2)O with Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA absorption liquid with UV *** strengthens NO removal in Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA absorption liquid by forming a synergistic effect of ***,compared with NO removal methods with Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA,Fe^(Ⅱ)EDTA combined UV system shows prominent technology advantage in terms of economy and secondary pollution.

Efficient and rapid capture of uranium(Ⅵ) in wastewater via multiamine modified β-cyclodextrin porous polymer

It is quite important to ensure the safety and sustainable development of nuclear energy for the treatment of radioactive wastewater. To treat radioactive wastewater efficiently and rapidly, two multi-amine β-cyclodextrin polymers(diethylenetriamine β-cyclodextrin polymer(DETA-TFCDP) and triethylenetetramine β-cyclodextrin polymer(TETA-TFCDP)) were prepared and applied to capture uranium. Results exhibited that DETA-TFCDP and TETA-TFCDP displayed the advantages of high adsorption amounts(612.2and 628.2 mg·g-1, respectively) and rapid adsorption rates, which can reach(88 ± 1)% of their equilibrium adsorption amounts in 10 min. Moreover, the adsorbent processes of DETA-TFCDP and TETATFCDP on uranium(Ⅵ) followed the Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order model, stating they were mainly chemisorption and self-endothermic. Besides, TETA-TFCDP also showed excellent selectivity in the presence of seven competing cations and could be effectively reused five times via Na2CO3as the desorption reagent. Meanwhile, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy illustrated that the enriched multi-amine groups and oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of TETA-TFCDP were the main active sites for capturing uranium(Ⅵ). Hence, multi-amine β-cyclodextrin polymers are a highly efficient, rapid, and promising adsorbent for capturing uranium(Ⅵ)from radioactive wastewater.
