Multi-objective optimization of process based on resource capability

To improve the practicability, suitability and accuracy of the trade-off among time, cost and quality of a process, a method based on resource capability is introduced. Through analyzing the relationship between an activity and its’ supporting resource, the model trades off the time, cost and quality by changing intensity of labor or changing the types of supporting resource or units of labor of resource in a certain time respectively according to the different types of its’ supporting resources. Through contrasting this method with the model of unit time cost corresponding to different quality levels and inter-related linear programming model of time, cost and quality for process optimizing, it is shown that this model does not only cover the above two models but also can describe some conditions the above two models can not express. The method supports to select different function to optimize a process according to different types of its supporting resource.

A novel smoothness term of Bayesian regularization framework based on M-estimation of robust statistics is proposed, and from this term a class of fourth-order nonlinear diffusion methods is proposed. These methods attempt to approximate an observed image with a piecewise linear image, which looks more natural than piecewise constant image used to approximate an observed image by P-M model. It is known that M-estimators and W-estimators are essentially equivalent and solve the same minimization problem. Then, we propose PL bilateral filter from equivalent W-estimator. This new model is designed for piecewise linear image filtering, which is more effective than normal bilateral filter.

By leveraging the 5G enabled vehicular ad hoc network(5G-VANET), it is widely recognized that connected vehicles have the potentials to improve road safety, transportation intelligence and provide in-vehicle entertainment experience. However, many enabling applications in 5G-VANET rely on the efficient content sharing among mobile vehicles, which is a very challenging issue due to the extremely large data volume, rapid topology change, and unbalanced traffic. In this paper, we investigate content prefetching and distribution in 5G-VANET. We first introduce an edge computing based hierarchical architecture for efficient distribution of large-volume vehicular data. We then propose a multi-place multi-factor prefetching scheme to meet the rapid topology change and unbalanced traffic. The content requests of vehicles can be served by neighbors, which can improve the sharing efficiency and alleviate the burden of networks. Furthermore, we use a graph theory based approach to solve the content distribution by transforming it into a maximum weighted independent set problem. Finally, the proposed scheme is evaluated with a greedy transmission strategy to demonstrate its efficiency.

Dynamic detection for computer virus based on immune system

Inspired by biological immune system, a new dynamic detection model for computer virus based on immune system is proposed. The quantitative description of the model is given. The problem of dynamic description for self and nonself in a computer virus immune system is solved, which reduces the size of self set. The new concept of dynamic tolerance, as well as the new mechanisms of gene evolution and gene coding for immature detectors is presented, improving the generating efficiency of mature detectors, reducing the false-negative and false-positive rates. Therefore, the difficult problem, in which the detector training cost is exponentially related to the size of self-set in a traditional computer immune system, is thus overcome. The theory analysis and experimental results show that the proposed model has better time efficiency and detecting ability than the classic model ARTIS.

With the rapid development in cloud data centers and cloud service customers,the demand for high quality cloud service has been grown *** face this reality,this paper focuses on service optimization issues in cloud computing ***,a service-oriented architecture is proposed and programmable network facilities are utilized in it to optimize specific cloud *** various cloud services are categorized into two subcategories;static services and dynamic ***,the concepts of cloud service quality and cloud resource idle rate are defined,and the aforementioned concepts have also been taken into consideration as parameters in the service optimization algorithm to improve the cloud service quality and optimize system workload *** simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in balancing the workload of all servers.

Dear editor,Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) has been adopted in new radio(NR) [1], and multiple-port demodulation reference signal(DMRS) has been designed to achieve channel estimation. In NR, two ports of DMRS share the same frequency resource elements(RE) by employing an orthogonal code comprising cyclic shift phase. In general, channel estimation can be achieved via the classical discrete Fourier transform(DFT) scheme [2, 3] as channels for the two ports of DMRS can be separated in the time domain via the DFT scheme.

In a specific project, how to find a reasonable balance between a plurality of objectives and their optimal solutions has always been an important aspect for researchers. As a trade off between fast convergence and a rich diversity, a Many-objective evolutionary algorithm based on a spatial division and angle-culling strategy(Ma OEA-SDAC) is proposed. In the reorganization stage, a restricted matching selection can enhance the reproductivity. In the environment selection stage, a space division and angle-based elimination strategy can effectively improve the convergence and diversity imbalance of its solution set. Through detailed experiments and a comparative analysis of the proposed Ma OEA-SDAC with five other state-of-the-art algorithms on classical benchmark problems, the effectiveness of Ma OEA-SDAC in solving high-dimensional optimization problems has been verified.

Structural Fault Tolerance of Scale-Free Networks

The fault tolerance of scale-free networks is examined in this paper. Through the simulation on the changes of the average path length and network fragmentation of the Barabasi-Albert model when faults happen, it can be observed that generic scale-free networks are quite robust to random failures, but are very vulnerable to targeted attacks at the same time. Therefore, an existing optimization strategy for the robustness of scale-free networks to failures and attacks is also introduced. The simulation similar with the above proved that the so-called (1,0) network has potentially interconnectedness closer to that of a scale-free network and robustness to targeted attacks closer to that of an exponential network. Furthermore, its resistance to random failures is better than that of either of them.

Real-time estimation of outdoor illumination is one of the key issues for ensuring the illumination consistency of augmented *** this paper,we propose a novel framework to estimate the dynamic illumination of outdoor scenes based on an online video sequence captured by a fixed *** existing approaches are based on two assumptions,*** exist some shadow areas in the scene and the distribution of the skylight is uniform over the *** assumptions greatly simplify the problem of illumination estimation of outdoor scenes,but they also limit the applicability as well as the accuracy of these *** paper presents a new approach that breaks these two hard *** recovers the lighting parameters of outdoor scenes containing no shadow area through solving a constrained linear least squares *** representing the skylight as a parameterized model incorporating an occlusion coefficient,the proposed approach can handle the dynamic variation of non-uniform skylight *** results demonstrate the potential of our approach.
