Chronic viral hepatitis causes an increased risk of progressive liver disease and hepatocellular *** the wave of the World Health Organization’s goal to reduce new cases and deaths from hepatitis B and C by 2030,there is an increasing call to expand the indications for treatment of chronic hepatitis ***,the main goal of treatment is to achieve a functional cure due to the inability of current drugs to completely eradicate the *** are still many discrepancies between available guidelines in terms of eligibility for treatment as well as an uncertainty about the appropriate treatment *** editorial addresses key questions about the topic and whether indications for treatment should be expanded.

Satellite glial cells are unique glial cells that surround the cell body of primary sensory *** increasing body of evidence suggests that in the presence of inflammation and nerve damage,a significant number of satellite glial cells become activated,thus triggering a series of functional *** suggests that satellite glial cells are closely related to the occurrence of chronic *** this review,we first summarize the morphological structure,molecular markers,and physiological functions of satellite glial ***,we clarify the multiple key roles of satellite glial cells in chronic pain,including gap junction hemichannel Cx43,membrane channel Pannexin1,K channel subunit 4.1,ATP,purinergic P2 receptors,and a series of additional factors and their receptors,including tumor necrosis factor,glutamate,endothelin,and ***,we propose that future research should focus on the specific sorting of satellite glial cells,and identify genomic differences between physiological and pathological *** review provides an important perspective for clarifying mechanisms underlying the peripheral regulation of chronic pain and will facilitate the formulation of new treatment plans for chronic pain.

Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a complex relapsing inflammatory disease in the gut and is driven by complicated host-gut microbiome *** commensals have shown different functions in IBD prevention and *** gain a mechanistic understanding of how different commensals affect intestinal inflammation,we compared the protective effects of 6 probiotics(belonging to the genera Akkermansia,Bifidobacterium,Clostridium,and Enterococcus)on dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis in mice with or without gut ***-inflammatory properties(ratio of interleukin(IL)-10 and IL-12)of these strains were also evaluated in an in vitro mesenteric lymph nodes(MLN)co-culture *** showed that 4 probiotics(belonging to the species Bifidobacterium breve,Bifidobacterium bifidum,and Enterococcus faecalis)can alleviate colitis in normal *** probiotic strains differed in regulating the intestinal microbiota,cytokines(IL-10,IL-1βand interferon(IFN)-γ),and tight junction function(Zonulin-1 and Occludin).By constrast,Akkermansia muciniphila AH39 and Clostridium butyricum FHuNHHMY49T1 were not ***,*** JSNJJNM2 with high anti-inflammatory potential in the MLN model could relieve colitis symptoms in antibiotic cocktail(Abx)-treated ***,*** FJSWX25M1induced low levels of cytokines in vitro and showed no beneficial ***,we provided insight into the clinical application of probiotics in IBD treatment.

The high intraspecies heterogeneity of Baciillus coagulans leads to significant phenotypic differences among different ***,6 *** strains were tested in the present study using an irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)animal model to determine whether the IBS-alleviating effects of *** strains are *** results of this study showed that the ingestion of *** GBI-30,6086,and *** CCFM1041 significantly alleviated IBS symptoms in *** contrast,other *** strains showed no or limited alleviating effects on IBS *** to our experimental results,the two main common features of these strains were as follows:1)The resistance of vegetative cells to bile salts,and 2)ability to synthesize specific lipids and secondary *** strains based on these two indicators may greatly reduce costs and provide a basis for mining new functional *** *** results also suggest that administration of *** could significantly regulate microbiota dysbiosis in animal ***,the close relationships between the gut microbiota,gut microbiota metabolites,and IBS were further confirmed in this study.

Fear extinction is a biological process in which learned fear behavior diminishes without anticipated reinforcement,allowing the organism to re-adapt to ever-changing *** on the behavioral hypothesis that extinction is new learning and forms an extinction memory,this new memory is more readily forgettable than the original fear *** brain’s cellular and synaptic traces underpinning this inherently fragile yet reinforceable extinction memory remain *** questions are about the whereabouts of the engram neurons that emerged during extinction learning and how they constitute a dynamically evolving functional construct that works in concert to store and express the extinction *** this review,we discuss recent advances in the engram circuits and their neural connectivity plasticity for fear extinction,aiming to establish a conceptual framework for understanding the dynamic competition between fear and extinction memories in adaptive control of conditioned fear responses.
