Mastocytosis is a rare and heterogeneous disease characterized by various clinical and biological features that affect different prognoses and *** disease is usually divided into 2 principal categories:cutaneous and systemic disease(SM).Clinical features can be related to mast cell(MC)mediator release or pathological MC *** is a disease often hard to identify,and the diagnosis is based on clinical,biological,histological,and molecular criteria with different specialists involved in the patient’s clinical *** all manifestations of the disease,gastrointestinal(GI)symptoms are common,being present in 14%-85% of patients,and can significantly impair the quality of *** we review the data regarding GI involvement in SM,in terms of clinical presentations,histological and endoscopic features,the pathogenesis of GI symptoms,and their treatment.

Recently,firms have begun to handle the design,manufacturing,and maintenance of capital goods through a consolidated mechanism called the integrated product-service *** new paradigm enables firms to deliver high-reliability products while lowering the ownership ***,holistic optimization models must be proposed for jointly allocating reliability,maintenance,and spare parts inventory across the entire value *** the existing literature,these decisions are often made fragmentally,thus resulting in local *** study reviews the extant works pertaining to reliability-redundancy allocation,preventative maintenance,and spare parts logistics *** discuss the challenges and opportunities of consolidating these decisions under an integrated reliability-maintenance-inventory framework for attaining superior system *** interest is focused on the new product introduction phase in which firms face a variety of uncertainties,including installed base,usage,reliability,and trade *** goal is to call for tackling the integrated reliability-maintenance-inventory allocation model under a nonstationary operating ***,we place the integrated allocation model in the semiconductor equipment industry and show how the firm deploys reliability initiatives and after-sale support logistics to ensure the fleet uptime for its global customers.

Although cholecystokinin is localized within neuronal fibres of the pancreas, a physiological role for intrapancreatic cholecystokinin has not been identified. The strategy of this study was to elicit pure vagal stimulation electrically, and to use specific receptor antagonists to identify the mediators of exocrine pancreatic secretion. We conclude that vagal stimulation of the rat pancreas involves ganglionic neurotransmission and release of acetylcholine and cholecystokinin from intrapancreatic, postganglionic fibres. To our knowledge, this is the first study to demonstrate a physiological role for intrapancreatic cholecystokinin.

The vagus is a mixed nerve containing cholinerrgic and non-cholinergic neurons. Vagal fibers interact with peptidergic neurons of the enteric nervous system which stain immunohistochemically for cholecystokinin, vasoactive intestinal polypeptide, and gastrin releasing peptide. The contribution of these peptidergicneurons in the pancreatic response to vagal stimulation is unknown. We tested the effect of specific inhibitor of these stimulants against vagally mediated exocrine secretion in rats. The response to vagal stimulation was blocked significantly by each of the following:the ganglionic blocker hexamethonium (l00% inhibition); the muscarinic, cholinergic blocker atropine (85% inhibition); the specific cholecystokinin-A receptor blocker (91 % inhibition); and a vasoactive intestinal polypeptide polyclonal antibody (89% inhibition). This observation is consistent with the hypothesis that potentiating interactions among several agonists mediate the vagal response. Our study, however, dose not exclude acetylcholine as the final commommediator.

1 Introduction Blind signature allows a user to obtain the signature of a message from a signer without revealing the information of the message,as well as defending against *** recent years,there have been increased efforts to design post-quantum blind signature schemes,since it is known that classical cryptography assumptions(e.g.,integer factoring problem and discrete logarithm problem)are not secure against attacks carried out using quantum computers[1].One popular approach is to design blind signature schemes using *** first lattice-based blind signature scheme is proposed by Rückert[2],who also presented a general process of constructing lattice-based blind signature influenced by Lyubashevskys’s secure framework[3].Rückert’s approach achieves both blindness and one-more unforgeability in the random oracle *** then,many other blind signature schemes have extended Rückert signature *** example,based on Crystals-Dilithium[4](one of the NIST post-quantum signature standardization),Le et al.[5]created a blind signature from module lattices.

Vitamin A and its biologically active derivative,retinoic acid(RA),are important for many immune ***,in particular,is essential for the development of immune cells,including neutrophils,which serve as a front-line defense against *** vitamin A deficiency has been linked to higher susceptibility to infections,the precise role of vitamin A/RA in host-pathogen interactions remains poorly ***,we provided evidence that RA boosts neutrophil killing of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).RA treatment stimulated primary human neutrophils to produce reactive oxygen species,neutrophil extracellular traps and the antimicrobial peptide cathelicidin(LL-37).Because RA treatment was insufficient to reduce MRSA burden in an in vivo murine model of skin infection,we expanded our analysis to other infectious *** did not affect the growth of a number of common bacterial pathogens,including MRSA,Escherichia coli K1 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa;however,RA directly inhibited the growth of group A Streptococcus(GAS).This antimicrobial effect,likely in combination with RA-mediated neutrophil boosting,resulted in substantial GAS killing in neutrophil killing assays conducted in the presence of ***,in a murine model of GAS skin infection,topical RA treatment showed therapeutic potential by reducing both skin lesion size and bacterial *** findings suggest that RA may hold promise as a therapeutic agent against GAS and perhaps other clinically significant human pathogens.

The objective of this study was to characterize the chemical and physical properties of bioactive ceramics prepared from an aqueous paste containing hydroxyapatite(HA)and beta tri-calcium phosphate(β-TCP).Prior to formulating the paste,HA andβ-TCP were calcined at 800℃and 975℃(11 h),milled,and blended into 15%/85%HA/β-TCP volume-mixed *** cylindrical rods were subsequently sintered to 900℃,1100℃or 1250℃.The sintered specimens were characterized by helium pycnometry,X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform-infrared(FT-IR),and inductively coupled plasma(ICP)spectroscopy for evaluation of porosity,crystalline phase,functional-groups,and Ca:P ratio,*** properties were assessed via 3-point bending and diametral *** microstructural evaluation using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)showed larger pores and a broader pore size distribution(PSD)for materials sintered at 900℃and 1100℃,whereas the 1250℃samples showed more uniform *** quantification showed significantly higher porosity for materials sintered to 900℃and 1250℃(p<0.05).XRD indicated substantial deviations from the 15%/85%HA/β-TCP formulation following sintering where lower amounts of HA were observed when sintering temperature was *** testing demonstrated significant differences between calcination temperatures and different sintering regimes(p<0.05).Variation in chemical composition and mechanical properties of bioactive ceramics were direct consequences of calcination and sintering.
