Experimental Investigation on Solution Regeneration Performance and coefficients in Full-Open System for Heat and Water Recovery of Flue Gas

The recovery of heat and water from low-grade flue gas is of considerable importance for energy conservation and environmental *** the full-open absorption heat pump shows promise as a means of achieving heat and water recovery,the lack of research on heat and mass transfer performance of open-type solution evaporation regeneration represents a significant impediment to its design and *** paper experimentally investigates the regeneration performance of an open-type spaying tower equipped with ceramic structured *** different regeneration modes are proposed,namely ambient air receiver mode and flue gas receiver mode,to utilize air or low-grade flue gas as a driving *** impact of different input parameters on the regeneration characteristics,including heat transfer capacity,water removal rate,thermal efficiency,and humidity effectiveness,are *** findings indicate that the enhancement of regeneration can be achieved through the increase of solution flow rate,solution temperature,and flue gas flow rate in both regeneration ***,high solution concentration and flue gas humidity ratio can weaken water removal rates and reduce thermal *** the regeneration of CaCl_(2)-H_(2)O with a concentration of55%,flue gas around 200℃with a humidity ratio below 44 g/kg can successfully drive the solution regeneration *** the solution concentration or flue gas humidity ratio continues to rise,additional energy is necessary for ***,the coupled heat and mass transfer coefficients are fitted,which can contribute to the design and optimization of the open-type regenerator.

New formula for predicting the plastic buckling pressure of steel torispherical heads under internal pressure

Thin-walled torispherical heads under internal pressure can fail by plastic buckling because of compressive circumferential stresses in the head ***,existing formulas still have limitations,such as complicated expressions and low accuracy,in determining buckling *** this paper,we propose a new formula for calculating the buckling pressure of torispherical heads based on elastic-plastic analysis and experimental ***,a finite element(FE)method based on the arc-length method is established to calculate the plastic buckling pressure of torispherical heads,considering the effects of material strain hardening and geometrical *** buckling pressure results calculated by the FE method in this paper have good consistency with those of BOSOR5,which is a program for calculating the elastic-plastic bifurcation buckling pressure based on the finite difference energy ***,the effects of geometric parameters,material parameters,and restraint form of head edge on buckling pressure are ***,a new formula for calculating plastic buckling pressure is developed by fitting the curve of FE results and introducing a reduction factor determined from experimental ***,based on the experimental results,we compare the predictions of the new formula with those of existing *** is shown that the new formula has a higher accuracy than the existing ones.

Detection of Al, Mg, Ca, and Zn in copper slag by LIBS combined with calibration curve and PLSR methods

The precise measurement of Al, Mg, Ca, and Zn composition in copper slag is crucial for effective process control of copper pyrometallurgy. In this study, a remote laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) system was utilized for the spectral analysis of copper slag samples at a distance of 2.5 m. The composition of copper slag was then analyzed using both the calibration curve(CC) method and the partial least squares regression(PLSR) analysis method based on the characteristic spectral intensity ratio. The performance of the two analysis methods was gauged through the determination coefficient(R^(2)), average relative error(ARE), root mean square error of calibration(RMSEC), and root mean square error of prediction(RMSEP). The results demonstrate that the PLSR method significantly improved both R^(2) for the calibration and test sets while reducing ARE, RMSEC, and RMSEP by 50% compared to the CC method. The results suggest that the combination of LIBS and PLSR is a viable approach for effectively detecting the elemental concentration in copper slag and holds potential for online detection of the elemental composition of high-temperature molten copper slag.

Industrial co_(2)electroreduction has received tremendous attentions for resolution of the current energy and environmental crisis,but its performance is greatly limited by mass transport at high current *** this work,an ion‐polymer‐modified gas‐diffusion electrode is used to tackle this proton *** is found that gas diffusion electrode‐Nafion shows an impressive performance of 75.2%Faradaic efficiency in multicarbon products at an industrial current density of 1.16 A/cm^(2).Significantly,in‐depth electrochemical characterizations combined with in situ Raman have been used to determine the full workflow of protons,and it is found that Hco_(3)^(−)acts as a proton pool near the reaction environment,and Hco_(3)^(−)and H_(3)O^(+)are local proton donors that interact with the proton shuttle−SO_(3)^(−)from *** rich proton hopping sites that decrease the activation energy,a“Grotthuss”mechanism for proton transport in the above system has been identified rather than the“Vehicle”mechanism with a higher energy ***,this work could be very useful in terms of the achievement of industrial co_(2)reduction fundamentally and practically.

A novel method for calculating broadband electrical performance of high-speed aircraft radome under thermo-mechanical-electrical coupling

The electrical performance of radomes on high-speed aircraft can be influenced by the thermal and mechanical loads produced during high-speed flight,which can affect the detection dis-tance and accuracy of the guidance *** paper presents a new method that uses the Finite Difference Time Domain(FDTD)method to calculate the electrical performance of radomes under Thermo-Mechanical-Electrical(TME)*** method can accurately characterize the effects of material dielectric temperature drift and structural deformation on the electrical performance of the radome under flight conditions,enabling high-precision full-wave calculations of the broadband electrical performance of the *** method initiates by utilizing a Finite Element Grid Model(FE-GM)of the radome to sequentially acquire the radome's response temperature field and structural deformation field through thermal and mechanical ***,spatial mapping techniques are developed to accurately incorporate the dielectric temperature drift and structural deformation of the radome into its Yee grid Electromagnetic(EM)simulation model.A verification case was designed to test the proposed method,and the results confirmed its high computational ***,the effectiveness and necessity of the method were further demonstrated by analyzing the electrical performance of a fused silica ceramic radome used on a high-speed aircraft.

Intelligent representation method of image flatness for cold rolled strip

In this work,the impact of extrusion and post-extrusion heat treatment(T6)on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Al-1.2Mg-0.8Si-0.5Mn alloy with different Cu contents(0,0.6,1.3 and 2.0 wt%)was *** characterization showed that all extruded alloys exhibited elongated grain structure with an average grain size of~4.8μ*** dominant texture components were deformation texture(A*,copper and P texture),while the proportion of random texture initially increased and then decreased with increasing Cu *** T6 treatment,the grain size of the four alloys increased significantly,but the growth trend decreased with increasing Cu content,and the textures transformed into recrystallized textures(Cube,A and Goss texture).Tensile testing revealed that the designed T6 alloys with 2.0%Cu content exhibited an excellent strength-ductility balance,i.e.,a yield strength of 342.9 MPa,an ultimate tensile strength of 424.8 MPa and an elongation of 15.9%.The enhanced strength was mainly attributed to fine grain strengthening,solid solution strengthening and aging strengthening *** superior ductility was due to the pinning effect of fine precipitates and high dislocation accommodation capacity caused by heat treatment.

The lower limb exoskeletons are used to assist wearers in various scenarios such as medical and industrial *** modeling errors of the exoskeleton in different application scenarios pose challenges to the robustness and stability of its control *** Radial Basis Function(RBF)neural network is used widely to compensate for modeling *** order to solve the problem that the current RBF neural network controllers cannot guarantee the asymptotic stability,a neural network robust control algorithm based on computed torque method is proposed in this paper,focusing on trajectory *** innovatively incorporates the robust adaptive term while introducing the RBF neural network term,improving the compensation ability for modeling *** stability of the algorithm is proved by Lyapunov method,and the effectiveness of the robust adaptive term is verified by the *** wearing the exoskeleton under different walking speeds and scenarios were carried out,and the results show that the absolute value of tracking errors of the hip and knee joints of the exoskeleton are consistently less than 1.5°and 2.5°,*** proposed control algorithm effectively compensates for modeling errors and exhibits high robustness.

Improvement of the piezoelectricity of PVDF-HFP by coFe_(2)O_(4)nanoparticles

High piezoelectric composite films composed of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)(PVDF-HFP)and ferromagnetic cobalt ferrite(coFe_(2)O_(4))(0.00 wt%to 0.2 wt%)are prepared by a solution casting method accompanied by uniaxial stretching and high electric field *** decisive effect of the poling electric field on the power generating capability was confirmed by the *** pure PVDF-HFP films,when the maximum electric field Emax is 120 MV/m,the calibrated open circuit voltage reaches 2.93 V,which is much higher than those poled at lower electric fields(70 MV/m:1.41 V;90 MV/m:2.11 V).Furthermore,the addition of coFe_(2)O_(4)also influences the piezoelectricity *** the samples containing 0.15 wt%coFe_(2)O_(4),the calibrated open circuit voltage increases to the maximum value of 3.57 ***,the relative fraction of theβ-phase and the crystallinity degree are 99%and 48%,*** effects of coFe_(2)O_(4)nanoparticles on initial crystallization,uniaxial stretching and high electric field poling are investigated by XRD,FTIR and DSC.
