são paulo state has witnessed CO_(2)storage-based investigations considering the availability of suitable geologic structures and proximity to primary CO_(2)source sinks related to bioenergy and carbon capture and storage(BECCs)*** current study presents the hydrocarbon viability evaluations and CO_(2)storage prospects,focusing on the sandstone units of the Rio Bonito *** objective is to apply petrophysical evaluations with geochemical inputs in predicting future hydrocarbon(gas)production to boost CO_(2)storage within the study *** study used data from eleven wells with associated wireline logs(gamma ray,resistivity,density,neutron,and sonic)to predict potential hydrocarbon accumulation and fluid mobility in the investigated *** samples(shale and carbonate)obtained from depths>200 m within the study location have shown bitumen *** geochemistry data of the Rio Bonito Formation shale beds suggest they are potential hydrocarbon source rocks and could have contributed to the gas accumulations within the sandstone *** drilled well data,e.g.,CB-1-sp and Ti-1-sp,show hydrocarbon(gas)presence based on the typical resistivity and the combined neutron-density responses at depths up to 3400 m,indicating the possibility of other hydrocarbon members apart from the heavy oil(bitumen)observed from the near-surface rocks *** the three-dimensional(3-D)model,the free fluid indicator(FFi)is more significant towards the southwest and southeast of the area with deeper depths of occurrence,indicating portions with reasonable hydrocarbon recovery rates and good prospects for CO_(2)injection,circulation and permanent ***,future studies based on contemporary datasets are required to establish the hydrocarbon viability further,foster gas production events,and enhance CO_(2)storage possibilities within the region.

Methane cracking in molten tin for hydrogen and carbon production—a comparison with homogeneous gas phase process

Methane cracking is considered a bridge technology between gray and green hydrogen production *** this work an experimental study of methane cracking in molten tin is *** tests were conducted in a quartz reactor(i.d.=1.5 cm,L=20 cm)with capillary injection,varying temperature(950–1070℃),inlet methane flow rate(30–60 mL·min^(-1))and tin height(0–20 cm).The influence of the residence time in the tin and in the headspace on methane conversion and on carbon morphology was *** conversions obtained in tin and in the empty reactor were measured and compared with results of detailed kinetic simulations(CRECk).Furthermore,an expression of a global kinetic constant for methane conversion in tin was also *** highest conversion(65%at Q_(0)=30 mL·min^(-1) and t=1070℃)is obtained for homogeneous gas phase reaction due to the long residence time(70 s),the presence of tin leads to a sharp decrease of residence time(1 s),obtaining a conversion of 35%at 1070℃,thus meaning that tin owns a role in the *** characterization(scanning electron microscopy,Raman)reported a change in carbon toward sheet-like structures and an increase of the carbon structural order in the presence of molten tin media.

Mechanism of Endogenous peptide pDYBX1 and precursor protein YBX1 in Hirschsprung’s Disease

Endogenous peptides,bioactive agents with a small molecular weight and outstanding absorbability,regulate various cellular processes and ***,their role in the occurrence of Hirschsprung’s disease(HsCR)remains ***,we found that the expression of an endogenous peptide derived from YBX1(termed pDYBX1 in this study)was upregulated in the aganglionic colonic tissue of HsCR patients,whereas its precursor protein YBX1 was *** shown by Transwell and cytoskeleton staining assays,silencing YBX1 inhibited the migration of enteric neural cells,and this effect was partially reversed after treatment with ***,immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence revealed that ERk2 bound to YBX1 and *** of YBX1 blocked the ERk1/2 pathway,but upregulation of pDYBX1 counteracted this effect by binding to ERk2,thereby promoting cell migration and *** together,the endogenous peptide pDYBX1 may partially alleviate the inhibition of the ERk1/2 pathway caused by the downregulation of its precursor protein YBX1 to antagonize the impairment of enteric neural ***1 may be exploited to design a novel potential therapeutic agent for HsCR.

Risk factors for long COViD in children and adolescents:a systematic review and meta-analysis

Background The long-term sequelae of COViD-19 in children and adolescents remain poorly understood and *** systematic review and meta-analysis sought to summarize the risk factors for long COViD in the pediatric *** We searched six databases from January 2020 to May 2023 for observational studies reporting on risk factors for long COViD or persistent symptoms those were present 12 or more weeks post-infection using multivariable regression *** registries,reference lists of included studies,and preprint servers were hand-searched for relevant ***-effects meta-analyses were conducted to pool odds ratios for each risk *** study risk of bias was rated using QUips,and the GRADE framework was used to assess the certainty of evidence for each unique *** sixteen observational studies(N=46,262)were included,and 19 risk factors were amenable to *** moderate certainty in the evidence,age(per 2-year increase),allergic rhinitis,obesity,previous respiratory diseases,hospitalization,severe acute COViD-19,and symptomatic acute COViD-19 are probably associated with an increased risk of long *** sex,asthma,comorbidity,and heart diseases may be associated with an increased risk of long COViD,and Asian and Black races may be associated with a decreased risk of long *** did not observe any credible subgroup effects for any risk *** The current body of literature presents several compelling risk factors for the development of long COViD in the pediatric *** research is necessary to elucidate the pathophysiology of long COViD.

Combustion characteristics of low-quality lignite for different bed material sphericities in a circulating fluidized bed boiler:A numerical study

This study delves into the combustion behavior of various lignite types within a circulating fluidized bed boiler(CFBB),with a primary focus on the impact of different bed material sphericity ratios(0.5,0.7,and 0.9).Utilizing bed material with a sphericity ratio of 0.9 sourced from theÇan power plant and verified through experimentation,the research reveals several key ***,furnace temperatures tended to rise with higher sphericity ratios,albeit with variations between lignite types,particularly highlighting the complexity of this relationship in the case of GLi-Tunçbilek *** levels in the combustion chamber remained consistent across different sphericity ratios,indicating minimal influence on pressure *** combustion efficiency,especially at the bottom of the boiler,was observed at lower sphericity levels(0.5 and 0.7)forÇan lignite,as reflected in CO_(2) mole *** NO_(x) emissions generally decreased with lower sphericity,the sensitivity to sphericity varied by lignite type,with ilgın lignite showcasing low NO_(x) but high sO_(2) emissions,underscoring the intricate interplay between lignite properties,sphericity,and ***,this study advances our understanding of CFBB combustion dynamics,offering insights valuable for optimizing performance and emissions control,particularly in lignite-based power.

Background This study aimed to identify survival risk factors in Chinese children with hepatoblastoma(HB)and assess the effectiveness of the new treatment protocol proposed by the Chinese Children's Cancer Group(CCCG)in *** A multicenter,prospective study that included 399 patients with HB from January 2015 to June 2020 was *** demographics,treatment protocols,and other related information were *** regression models and kaplan-Meier curve methods were *** The 4-year event-free survival(EFs)and overall survival(Os)were 76.9 and 93.5%,*** 4-year EFs rates for the very-low-risk,low-risk,intermediate-risk,and high-risk groups were 100%,91.6%,81.7%,and 51.0%,*** 4-year 0s was 100%,97.3%,94.4%,and 86.8%,*** regression analysis found that age,tumor rupture(R+),and extrahepatic tumor extension(E+)were independent prognostic factors.A total of 299 patients had complete remission,and 19 *** with declining alpha-fetoprotein(AFp)>75%after the first two cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy had a better EFs and Os than those≤75%.Conclusions The survival outcome of HB children has dramatically improved since the implementation of CCCG-HB-2016 ***≥8 years,R+,and E+were independent risk factors for *** with a declining AFp>75%after the first two cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy had better EFs and Os.

Effect of radiative loss mechanisms on FiR thermometric parameters of Nd^(3+)-doped lithium tellurite glasses

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FiR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluorescence thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FiR parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-relaxation processes.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)i_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)i_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 k is 3.00%/k,which is the highest value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.
