Green hydrogen from water splitting has emerged as a critical energy vector with the potential to spearhead the global transition to a fossil fuel-independent *** field of catalysis has been revolutionized by single-atom catalysts(SACs),which exhibit unique and intricate interactions between atomically dispersed metal atoms and their ***,bimetallic SACs(bimSACs)have garnered significant attention for leveraging the synergistic functions of two metal ions coordinated on appropriately designed *** offer an avenue for rich metal–metal and metal–support cooperativity,potentially addressing current limitations of SACs in effectively furnishing transformations which involve synchronous proton–electron exchanges,substrate activation with reversible redox cycles,simultaneous multi-electron transfer,regulation of spin states,tuning of electronic properties,and cyclic transition states with low activation *** review aims to encapsulate the growing advancements in bimSACs,with an emphasis on their pivotal role in hydrogen generation via water *** subsequently delve into advanced experimental methodologies for the elaborate characterization of SACs,elucidate their electronic properties,and discuss their local coordination ***,we present comprehensive discussion on the deployment of bimSACs in both hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction,the two half-reactions of the water electrolysis process.

This study explores the perspectives and challenges faced by family members providing mental support to cancer patients in Beijing,*** primary objective is to understand the emotional and practical roles family members undertake and the difficulties they *** a qualitative research design,data were collected through semi-structured interviews with family caregivers of cancer *** analysis revealed several key themes:the dual burden of emotional support and caregiving responsibilities,the impact on daily life and personal well-being,the role and effectiveness of external support systems,perceptions of medical staff support,and the common challenges and conflicts faced in *** findings highlight the critical need for comprehensive support systems that address both the emotional and practical needs of family *** for enhancing family-centered support programs in oncology settings are discussed.

Over the past two decades the view of reactive oxygen species(ROS)as merely cytotoxic compounds has changed considerably(Waszczak et al.,2018).While still being considered as reactive chemicals with potentially devastating detrimental effects,ROS have been shown to be used by plants and animals alike as messengers in numerous signaling networks,including responses to biotic and abiotic environmental cues as well as developmental processes(Waszczak et al.,2018;Zandalinas et al.,2020).

Development and validation of a questionnaire-based risk scoring system to identify individuals at high risk for gastric cancer in Chinese populations

Objective:This study aimed to develop and validate a risk scoring system to identify high-risk individuals carrying malignant lesions in stomach for tailored gastric cancer ***:A gastric cancer risk scoring system(GC-RSS)was developed based on questionnaire-based predictors for gastric cancer derived from systematic literature *** assess the capability of this system for discrimination,risk scores for 8,214 and 7,235 outpatient subjects accepting endoscopic examination in two endoscopy centers,and 32,630 participants in a community-based cohort in China were calculated to plot receiver operating characteristic curves and generate area under the curve(AUC).To evaluate the performance of GC-RSS,the screening proportion,sensitivity and detection rate ratio compared to universal screening were used under different risk score cutoff ***:GC-RSS comprised nine predictors including advanced age,male gender,low body mass index(cancer,cigarette smoking,consumption of alcohol,preference for salty food,irregularity of meals and consumption of preserved *** tool performed well in determining the risk of malignant gastric lesions with AUCs of 0.763,0.706 and 0.696 in three validation *** subjects with risk scores≥5 were evaluated with endoscopy,nearly 50%of these endoscopies could be saved with a detection rate of over 1.5 times *** the cutoff was set at 8,only about 10%of subjects with the highest risk would be offered endoscopy,and detection rates for gastric cancer could be increased 2-4 fold compared to universal ***:An effective questionnaire-based GC-RSS was developed and *** tool may play an important role in establishing a tailored screening strategy for gastric cancer in China.

Epstein-Barr virus and Burkitt lymphoma

In 1964,a new herpesvirus,Epstein-Barr virus(EBV),was discovered in cultured tumor cells derived from a Burkitt lymphoma(BL)biopsy taken from an African *** was a momentous event that reinvigorated research into viruses as a possible cause of human *** studies demonstrated that EBV was a potent growth-transforming agent for primary B cells,and that all cases of BL carried characteristic chromosomal translocations resulting in constitutive activation of the c-MYC *** results hinted at simple oncogenic mechanisms that would make Burkitt lymphoma paradigmatic for cancers with viral *** reality,the pathogenesis of this tumor is rather complicated with regard to both the contribution of the virus and the involvement of cellular ***,we review the current understanding of the roles of EBV and c-MYC in the pathogenesis of BL and the implications for new therapeutic strategies to treat this lymphoma.

Role of formyl peptide receptor 2(FPR2) in the normal brain and in neurological conditions

There is much recent interest in the role of the anti-inflammatory molecules and their receptors in the normal brain and in neurological disorders. The formyl peptide receptor (FPR) subfamily of G protein-coupled receptors play important roles in these processes. Binding to specific peptides triggers activation of FPRs, leading to signalling events that regulate inflammatory responses. One member of this subfamily of receptors is FPR2, also known as ALX (the lipoxin A4 (LXA4) receptor). FPR2 is specifically activated by LXA4 and resolvin D1 (RvD1)(Pirault and ***, 2018).

MAGI1 inhibits migration and invasion via blocking MAPK/ERK signaling pathway in gastric cancer

Objective： To explore the association of membrane-associated guanylate kinase inverted 1（MAGI1） with gastric cancer（GC） and the related molecular ***： The reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction（RT-PCR） and immunohistochemistry（IHC）were utilized to measure the MAGI1 expression level in GC tissues. Quantitative real-time PCR and Western blotting were used to ensure the MAGI1 expression in GC cell lines. Small hairpin RNA（sh RNA） was applied for knockdown of endogenous MAGI1 in GC cells. MTT assay and colony formation assay, scratch wounding migration assay and transwell chamber migration assay, as well as transwell chamber invasion assay were employed respectively to investigate the GC cell proliferation, migration and invasion in MAGI1-knockdown and control GC cells. The potential molecular mechanism mediated by MAGI1 was studied using Western blotting and RT- ***： RT-PCR and IHC verified MAGI1 was frequently expressed in matched adjacent noncancerous mucosa compared with GC tissues and the expression of MAGI1 was related to clinical pathological parameters. Functional assays indicated that MAGI1 knockdown significantly promoted GC cell migration and invasion. Further mechanism investigation demonstrated that one pathway of MAGI1 inhibiting migration and invasion was mainly by altering the expression of matrix metalloproteinases（MMPs） and epithelial-mesenchymal transition（EMT）-related molecules via inhibiting MAPK/ERK signaling ***： MAGI1 was associated with GC clinical pathological parameters and acted as a tumor suppressor via inhibiting of MAPK/ERK signaling pathway in GC.
