When checking the ice shape calculation software,its accuracy is judged based on the proximity between the calculated ice shape and the typical test ice ***,determining the typical test ice shape becomes the key task of the icing wind tunnel *** the icing wind tunnel test of the tail wing model of a large amphibious aircraft,in order to obtain accurate typical test ice shape,the Romer Absolute Scanner is used to obtain the 3D point cloud data of the ice shape on the tail wing ***,the batch-learning self-organizing map(BLSOM)neural network is used to obtain the 2D average ice shape along the model direction based on the 3D point cloud data of the ice shape,while its tolerance band is calculated using the probabilistic statistical *** results show that the combination of 2D average ice shape and its tolerance band can represent the 3D characteristics of the test ice shape effectively,which can be used as the typical test ice shape for comparative analysis with the calculated ice shape.

The incorporation of the saturation of the tangential contact stress with the increase of the normal contact stress is required for the analysis of the friction phenomenon of solids and structures subjected to a high normal contact stress,which cannot be described by the Coulomb friction condition,in which the tangential contact stress increases linearly with the increase of the normal contact *** this article,the subloading-friction model,which is capable of describing the smooth elastic-plastic transition,the static-kinetic transition,and the recovery of the static friction during the cease of sliding,is extended to describe this ***,some numerical examples are shown,and the validity of the present model will be verified by the simulation of the test data on the linear sliding of metals.

Displays play an extremely important role in modern information society,which creates a never-ending demand for the new and better products and *** latest requirements for novel display technologies focus on high resolution and high color *** emerging technologies that include organic light-emitting diode(OL ED),micro light-emiting diode(micro-LED),quantum dot light-emitting diode(QLED),laser display,holographic display and others,QLED is promising owing to its intrinsic high color gamut and the possibility to achieve high resolution with photolithography ***,previously demonstrated photolthography techniques suffer from reduced device performance and color Impurities in subpixels from the *** this study,we demonstrated a sacrificial layer assisted patterming(SLAP)approach,which can be applied in conjunction with photolithography to fabricate high-resolution,full-colo quantum dot(QD)*** this approach,the negative photoresist(PR)and sacrificial layer(SL)were uilized to determine the pixels for QD deposition,while at the same time the SL helps protect the QD layer and keep it intact(named PR-SL approach).To prove this method's viability for QLED display manufacture,a 500-ppi,full-color passive matrix(PM)-QLED prototype was fabricated via this *** show that there were no color impurities in the subpixels,and the PM-QL ED has a high color gamut of 114%National Television Standards Committee(NTSC).To the best of our knowledge,this is the first ull-olor QLED prototype with such a high *** anticipate that this innovative patteming technique will open a new horizon for future display technologies and may lead to a disruptive and innovative change in display industry.

A reproducing kernel collocation method based on strong formulation is introduced for transient dynamics. To study the stability property of this method, an algorithm based on the von Neumann hypothesis is proposed to predict the critical time step. A numerical test is conducted to validate the algorithm. The numerical critical time step and the predicted critical time step are in good agreement. The results are compared with those obtained based on the radial basis collocation method, and they axe in good agreement. Several important conclusions for choosing a proper support size of the reproducing kernel shape function are given to improve the stability condition.

During the production period of shale gas, proppant particles and rock debris are produced together,which will seriously erode the elbows of gathering pipelines. In response to this problem, this paper takes the elbow of the gathering pipeline in the Changning Shale Gas Field as an example to test the erosion rate and material removal mechanism of the test piece at different angles of the elbow through experiments and compares the four erosion models with the experimental results. Through analysis, it is found that the best prediction model for quartz sand-carbon steel erosion is the Oka model. Based on the Oka model, FLUENT software was used to simulate and analyze the law of erosion of the elbow of the gas gathering pipeline under different gas flow velocities, gas gathering pressure, particle size, length of L1,and bending directions of the elbow. And a spiral pipeline structure is proposed to reduce the erosion rate of the elbow under the same working conditions. The results show that this structure can reduce erosion by 34%.

Effect of drying environment on engineering properties of an expansive soil and its microstructure

This paper investigates the effect of drying environment, i.e. temperature and relative humidity, on the engineering properties and microscopic pore size distribution of an expansive soil. The shrinkage tests under different drying temperatures and relative humidity are carried out in a constant climate chamber. Then, the undisturbed samples, prepared in different drying environment, are used for the triaxial tests and mercury intrusion tests. It is found that the drying environment has noticeable influence on the engineering properties of expansive soils and it can be characterized by the drying rate. The linear shrinkage and strength increase with the decrease of the drying rate. The non-uniform deformation tends to happen in the high drying rate, which subsequently furthers the development of cracks. In addition, during the drying process, the variation of pores mainly focuses on the inter-aggregate pores and inter-particle pores. The lower drying rate leads to larger variation of pore size distribution.

Optical experimental solution for the multiway number partitioning problem and its application to computing power scheduling

Quantum computing is an emerging technology that is expected to realize an exponential increase in computing power. Recently,its theoretical foundation and application scenarios have been extensively researched and explored. In this work, we propose efficient quantum algorithms suitable for solving computing power scheduling problems in the cloud-rendering domain, which can be viewed mathematically as a generalized form of a typical NP-complete problem, i.e., a multiway number partitioning *** our algorithm, the matching pattern between tasks and computing resources with the shortest completion time or optimal load balancing is encoded into the ground state of the Hamiltonian;it is then solved using the optical coherent Ising machine, a practical quantum computing device with at least 100 qubits. The experimental results show that the proposed quantum scheme can achieve significant acceleration and save 97% of the time required to solve combinatorial optimization problems compared with classical algorithms. This demonstrates the computational advantages of optical quantum devices in solving combinatorial optimization problems. Our algorithmic and experimental work will advance the utilization of quantum computers to solve specific NP problems and will broaden the range of possible applications.

ZenLDA: Large-Scale Topic Model Training on Distributed Data-Parallel Platform

Recently, topic models such as Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA) have been widely used in large-scale web mining. Many large-scale LDA training systems have been developed, which usually prefer a customized design from top to bottom with sophisticated synchronization support. We propose an LDA training system named ZenLDA, which follows a generalized design for the distributed data-parallel platform. The novelty of ZenLDA consists of three main aspects:(1) it converts the commonly used serial Collapsed Gibbs Sampling(CGS) inference algorithm to a Monte-Carlo Collapsed Bayesian(MCCB) estimation method, which is embarrassingly parallel;(2)it decomposes the LDA inference formula into parts that can be sampled more efficiently to reduce computation complexity;(3) it proposes a distributed LDA training framework, which represents the corpus as a directed graph with the parameters annotated as corresponding vertices and implements ZenLDA and other well-known inference methods based on Spark. Experimental results indicate that MCCB converges with accuracy similar to that of CGS, while running much faster. On top of MCCB, the ZenLDA formula decomposition achieved the fastest speed among other well-known inference methods. ZenLDA also showed good scalability when dealing with large-scale topic models on the data-parallel platform. Overall, ZenLDA could achieve comparable and even better computing performance with state-of-the-art dedicated systems.

Due to the tremendous volume of data generated by urban surveillance systems, big data oriented lowcomplexity automatic background subtraction techniques are in great demand. In this paper, we propose a novel automatic background subtraction algorithm for urban surveillance systems in which the computer can automatically renew an image as the new background image when no object is detected. This method is both simple and robust with respect to changes in light conditions.
