目的调查头颈外科医务人员对老年头颈癌手术患者术前实施预立医疗照护计划的观点。方法采用Q方法,结合量性和质性方法探索和分析参与者的态度。参与者对半结构式访谈和文献综述产生的35个Q陈述进行排序,并在后续的半结构式访谈中解释排序原因,分析数据形成因子序列以说明参与者的观点。结果共有15名医务人员参与本研究,包括8名医生和7名护士。医务人员对术前实施预立医疗照护计划的观点各不相同,分为3类:维护患者的自主权,患者的知识和传统文化背景影响术前实施预立医疗照护计划,缺乏实施术前预立医疗照护计划的信心。结论尽管本研究中头颈外科医护人员能够认识到术前讨论预立医疗照护计划的益处,但患者认知水平的限制、传统文化价值观、医护人员能力不足及相关法律和政策不健全等因素导致这些医护人员对术前咨询和与患者讨论预立医疗照护计划存有疑虑。未来的研究应探讨克服术前预立医疗照护计划讨论障碍的策略。

In this article, Nobel Prize Laureate Joseph Stiglitz argues that the standard macro-economic paradigm has failed not only to predict the crisis but also to provide insights into the design of a regulatory framework that would make a recurrence less likely. He points out that many of the underlying assumptions of the standard paradigm always seemed implausible and many of its predictions, such as those concerning the micro-economic behavior of the constituents (firms and households), are inconsistent with the empirical evidence. He then identifies a number of key modeling challenges, what he views as key ingredients that have to be incorporated in any model that is going to describe economic fluctuations or be the basis of a well-designed regulatory or monetary framework.

The crime of deliberately rendering an arbitral award in violation of law was provided at the end of Article 20 of the Amendment VI to the Criminal Law of the People＇s Republic of China. Such a crime is likely to be misunderstood because views are sharply divided on its implication and scope of application. In addition, pertinent provisions are not manipulable. The wording of violation of law should not be included in articles of the law, as legalese. The charge is the product of redundant legislation, whose provisions are bound to be considered as pieces of blank paper. The creation of the crime disrespects arbitration, and removes the peculiarities of it. The charge of the crime undermines the profession of international arbitration. Therefore, the crime should be repealed. Where cases were arbitrated wrongly, and social harms were caused, criminal law and other laws would serve as remedies.

Leading Chinese political scientist Zhao Baoxu has produced an overview of the evolution of China’s political structure, its political studies as well as its foreign policy over the past six decades in his latest book In Pursuit of Harmony: An Academic Anthology of Zhao Baoxu. The English edition of this anthology was published by the Beijing-based Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press in November 2008. In its preface, former Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing called it a "crystallization of a seasoned professor’s research efforts over more than half a century." In a critique for Beijing Review, Wang Yong, a professor of the school of international Studies at Peking University and Director for the Center for international Political Economy at the university, underlined the relevance and significance of Zhao’s views. Cultural materialism behind global cultural diffusion process

In this paper, the author intends to illustrate cultural materialism behind cultural diffusion process. The author first argues that despite the two opposing paradigms of cultural views （differentialism vs. universalism） what is really happening and winning is the third paradigm of mixing cultural perspective as presented in Jan Nederveen Pieterse＇s book Globalization and culture-global Mdlange. Then the author takes Marvin Harris＇ cultural materialism theory as the basis and gives specific evidence from China to illustrate the formation and eventual spread of any ＂new cultural scripts＂, which is done through the transformation process from territorial culture to translocal culture with economic motive behind as the driving force. These Chinese cases of global mixing, in turn, form a further support to Marvin Harris＇s cultural materialism theory.
