reservoir simulation is known as perhaps the most widely used,accurate,and reliable method for field development in the petroleum *** integral part of a reliable reservoir simulation process is to consider robust and rigorous tuned EOS ***,EOS models are tuned iteratively through arduous workflows against experimental PVT ***,this comes with a number of drawbacks such as forcingly using weight factors,which upon alteration adversely affects the optimization *** objective of the current work is thus to introduce an auto-tune PVT matching tool using NSGA-II multi-objective *** order to illustrate the robustness of the presented technique,three different PVT samples are used,including two black-oil and one gas condensate *** utilize PengRobinson EOS during all the manual and auto-tuning *** of auto-tuned EOS-generated results with those of experimental and computed statistical error values for these samples clearly show that the proposed method is *** addition,the proposed method,contrary to the manual matching process,provides the engineer with several matched solutions,which allows them to select a match based on the engineering background to be best amenable to the problem at *** addition,the proposed technique is fast,and can output several solutions within less time compared to the traditional manual matching method.

Hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) is a prospective method to generate pure hydrogen. The development of superior electrocatalysts based on earth-abundant materials, plays a critical role in the ***_2, one of the earth-abundant electrocatalysts, has been proved to be a promising catalyst for hydrogen generation. In our work, flower-like CoSe_2 nanorods with high quality are successfully synthesized through a facile ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid ligand(EDTA)-assisted hydrothermal process. The flower-like CoSe_2 nanorods show the brilliant electrochemical HER performance with 100 mA cm^(-2) at overpotential of 273 m V, a small Tafel slope of 35 mV dec^(-1) and strong durability in acid solution. The sparkly HER catalytic activity of CoSe_2 can be ascribed to its particular structure with large surface area and abundant active sites. Therefore, this work offers an outstanding candidate for improving hydrogen production capabilities by water electrolysis.

In order to study the effect of different CO2 contents on gas compressibility factor（Z-factor）,the JEFRI-PVT apparatus has been used to measure the Z-factor of dry natural gas with CO2 content range from 10.74 to 70.42 mol%at the temperature range from 301.2 to 407.3 K and pressure range from 7 to 44 *** results show that Z-factor decreases with increasing CO2 content in natural gas at constant temperature and increases with increasing temperature for natural gas with the same CO2 *** addition,the Z-factor of water-saturated natural gas with high CO2 content has been measured.A comparison of the Z-factor between natural gas with and without saturated water vapor indicates that the former shows a higher Z-factor than the ***,Peng-Robinson,Hall-Yarborough,and Soave-Benedict-Webb- Rubin equations of state（EoS）are used for the calculation of Z-factor of high CO2 content natural gas with and without water *** optimal binary interaction parameters（BIP）for PR EoS are *** measured Z-factor is compared with the calculated Z-factor based on three models,which shows that PR EoS combined with van der Waals mixing rule for gas without water and Huron-Vidal mixing rule for water-saturated gas,are in good agreement with the experimental data.

The ancient structure characteristic,correlation of the oil and the hydrocarbon source rock characteristics,hydrocarbon migration trace,types and conditions of traps,migration passages and characteristic of hydrocarbon accumulation are researched in this *** is shown through the analysis that two main large tectonic activities after the Early Hercynian orogeny resulted in different tectonic patterns in the study *** main hydrocarbon infills occurred in the Donghetang Formation,the first occurred in the Early Hercynian resulting in the ancient hydrocarbon accumulation in the northern Tahe,the second infill was a large amount that occurred in places beneficial for hydrocarbon accumulation,such as structural traps and structural-stratigraphic traps formed in the Early Himalayan orogeny after migration along the faults through source rocks and other *** the earlier period of the Himalayan orogeny,the petroleum mainly migrated to the north,whereas petroleum migrated to the south and southeast because of the structural reverse in the Himalayan orogeny,so the middle and later period of the Himalayan orogeny is the key period for hydrocarbon *** model of＂oil generation formed early,hydrocarbon accumulation controlled by the faults through source rocks and structures formed late＂is *** is pointed out that the south of the research area is currently the beneficial district for hydrocarbon accumulation, which provides the basis for future petroleum exploration.

Located in Iranian sector of the Persian Gulf, Foroozan Oilfield has been producing hydrocarbons via seven different reservoirs since the 1970 s. However, understanding fluid interactions and horizontal continuity within each reservoir has proved complicated in this field. This study aims to determine the degree of intra-reservoir compartmentalization using gas geochemistry, light hydrocarbon components, and petroleum bulk properties, comparing the results with those obtained from reservoir engineering indicators. For this purpose, a total of 11 samples of oil and associated gas taken from different producing wells in from the Yammama reservoir were selected. Clear distinctions, in terms of gas isotopic signature and composition, between the wells located in northern and southern parts of the reservoir(i.e. lighter δ13 C1, lower methane concentration, and negative sulfur isotope in the southern part) and light hydrocarbon ratios(e.g. nC 7/toluene, 2,6-dmC7/1,1,3-tmcyC5 and m-xylene/4-mC8) in different oil samples indicated two separate compartments. Gradual variations in a number of petroleum bulk properties(API gravity, V/Ni ratios and asphaltene concentration) provided additional evidence on the reservoir-filling direction, signifying that a horizontal equilibrium between reservoir fluids across the Yammama reservoir is yet to be achieved. Finally, differences in water-oil contacts and reservoir types further confirmed the compartmentalization of the reservoir into two separate compartments.

Oxidation behavior of ammonium in a 3-dimensional biofilm-electrode reactor

Excess nitrogenous compounds are detrimental to natural water systems and to human health. To completely realize autohy- drogenotrophic nitrogen removal, a novel 3-dimensional biofilm-electrode reactor was designed. Titanium was electroplated with ruthenium and used as the anode. Activated carbon fiber felt was used as the cathode. The reactor was separated into two chambers by a permeable membrane. The cathode chamber was filled with granular graphite and glass beads. The cathode and cathode chamber were inhabited with domesticated biofilm. In the absence of organic substances, a nitrogen removal efficiency of up to 91% was achieved at DO levels of 3.42 ± 0.37 mg/L when the applied current density was only 0.02 mA/cm^2. The oxidation of ammonium in biofilmelectrode reactors was also investigated. It was found that ammonium could be oxidized not only on the anode but also on particle electrodes in the cathode chamber of the biofilm-electrode reactor. Oxidation rates of ammonium and nitrogen removal efficiency were found to be affected by the electric current loading on the biofilm-electrode reactor. The kinetic model of ammonium at different electric currents was analyzed by a first-order reaction kinetics equation. The regression analysis implied that when the current density was less than 0.02 mA/cm^2, ammonium removal was positively correlated to the current density. However, when the current density was more than 0.02 mA/cm^2, the electric current became a limiting factor for the oxidation rate of ammonium and nitrogen removal efficiency.

Plants produce nutritious,fleshy fruits that attract various animals to facilitate seed dispersal and recruitment ***-specific differential selection of seed size by multiple frugivorous disperser assemblages may affect the subsequent germination of the ingested ***,there is little empirical evidence supporting this *** the present study,we documented conflicting selection pressures exerted on seed size and germination by five frugivorous carnivores on a mammal-dispersed pioneer tree,the date-plum persimmon(Diospyros lotus),in a subtropical *** analyses revealed that these carnivores acted as primary seed dispersers of *** also observed that seed sizes were selected based on body mass and were species-specific,confirming the“gape limitation”hypothesis;three small carnivores(the masked palm civet Paguma larvata,yellow-throated marten Martes flavigula,and Chinese ferret-badger Melogale moschata)significantly preferred to disperse smaller seeds in comparison with control seeds obtained directly from wild plants whereas the largest Asiatic black bears(Ursus thibetanus)ingested larger *** dispersed by medium-sized hog badgers(Arctonyx albogularis)were not significantly different from control ***,regarding the influence of gut passage on seed germination,three arboreal dispersal agents(martens,civets,and bears)enhanced germination success whereas terrestrial species(ferret-badgers and hog badgers)inhibited the germination process compared with undigested control *** conflicting selection pressures on seed size and germination may enhance the heterogeneity of germination dynamics and thus increase species fitness through diversification of the regeneration *** results advance our understanding of seed dispersal mechanisms and have important implications for forest recruitment and ecosystem dynamics.

In order to study the effect of seismic permanent deformation on the safety and stability of earth-rock dam, the permanent deformation is considered as the non-design permanent load, and the stress-strain hysteresis curve is also considered when the earth is under cyclic load. The research work can make the calculation results of plastic collapse more accurate by including the effect of the post-earthquake degree of plastic deformation on the stability of the earth-rock dam, and the dam safety factor decreases from 2.50 to 1.90 after the magnitude-8 earthquake. Moreover, the research work will also improve the design of the earth-rock dam under abnormal operating conditions.
