Objective The study aimed to explore the association between the site of interictal epileptic discharges(IEDs)on postoperative electroencephalogram(EEG)and seizure recurrence after antiepileptic drug(AED)*** study hypothesizes that the concordance of IED sites with surgical sites indicates incomplete resection of epileptic focus,while non-concordance of IED sites with surgical sites indicates postoperative changes or cortical *** former has a higher risk of seizure *** We retrospectively analyzed the postoperative EEG pattern of 182 consecutive children who underwent resection *** identify the risk factors for seizure recurrence,we compared the attributes of seizure recurred and seizure-free groups by univariate and multivariate *** tapering was standardized,involving a 25% reduction in the dose of a single type of AED every 2 weeks,independent of the presurgical AED *** We attempted AED withdrawal in 116(63.7%)***-eight(24.1%)children experienced seizure recurrence during or after AED withdrawal.A greater number of AEDs used at the time of surgery(p=0.005),incomplete resection(p=0.001),and presence of IED on postoperative EEG(p=0.011)are predictors of *** resectionand seizure recurrence after AED withdrawal were related to the presence of IED on the EEG,but not to the concordance of IED with surgical *** For children with abnormal EEG,the decision to discontinue AED should be made more cautiously,regardless of the relative location of the discharge site and the surgical site.

Improving Link Prediction Models through a Performance Enhancement Scheme: A Study on Semi-Supervised Learning and Model Soup

As an important method for knowledge graph(KG) complementation， link prediction has become a hot research topic in recent years. In this paper， a performance enhancement scheme for link prediction models based on the idea of semi-supervised learning and model soup is proposed， which effectively improves the model performance on several mainstream link prediction models with small changes to their architecture. This novel scheme consists of two main parts， one is predicting potential fact triples in the graph with semi-supervised learning strategies， the other is creatively combining semi-supervised learning and model soup to further improve the final model performance without adding significant computational overhead. Experiments validate the effectiveness of the scheme for a variety of link prediction models， especially on the dataset with dense relationships. In terms of CompGCN， the model with the best overall performance among the tested models improves its Hits@1 metric by 14.7% on the FB15K-237 dataset and 7.8% on the WN18RR dataset after using the enhancement scheme. Meanwhile， it is observed that the semi-supervised learning strategy in the augmentation scheme has a significant improvement for multi-class link prediction models， and the performance improvement brought by the introduction of the model soup is related to the specific tested models， as the performances of some models are improved while others remain largely unaffected.

Interdisciplinary research plays a crucial role in addressing complex problems by integrating knowledge from multiple disciplines. This integration fosters innovative solutions and enhances understanding across various fields. This study explores the historical and sociological development of interdisciplinary research and maps its evolution through three distinct phases: pre-disciplinary, disciplinary, and post-disciplinary. It identifies key internal dynamics, such as disciplinary diversification, reorganization, and innovation, as primary drivers of this evolution. Additionally, this study highlights how external factors, particularly the urgency of World War II and the subsequent political and economic changes, have accelerated its advancement. The rise of interdisciplinary research has significantly reshaped traditional educational paradigms, promoting its integration across different educational levels. However, the inherent contradictions within interdisciplinary research present cognitive, emotional, and institutional challenges for researchers. A detailed understanding of the distribution and potential of natural gas hydrate(NGHs)resources is crucial to fostering the industrialization of those resources in the South China Sea,where NGHs are *** this study,this study analyzed the applicability of resource evaluation methods,including the volumetric,genesis,and analogy methods,and estimated NGHs resource potential in the South China Sea by using scientific resource evaluation methods based on the factors controlling the geological accumulation and the reservoir characteristics of ***,this study compared the evaluation results of NGHs resource evaluations in representative worldwise sea areas via rational *** results of this study are as follows:(1)The gas hydrate accumulation in the South China Sea is characterized by multiple sources of gas supply,multi-channel migration,and extensive accumulation,which are significantly different from those of oil and gas and other unconventional resources.(2)The evaluation of gas hydrate resources in the South China Sea is a highly targeted,stratified,and multidisciplinary evaluation of geological resources under the framework of a multi-type gas hydrate resource evaluation system and focuses on the comprehensive utilization of multi-source heterogeneous data.(3)Global NGHs resources is n×10^(15)m^(3),while the NGHs resources in the South China Sea are estimated to be 10^(13)m^(3),which is comparable to the abundance of typical marine NGHs deposits in other parts of the *** the South China Sea,the NGHs resources have a broad prospect and provide a substantial resource base for production tests and industrialization of NGHs.

Neuroinflammation,mediated by the nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing-3(NLRP3)inflammasome,is a significant contributor to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases(NDDs).Reynos-in,a natural sesquiterpene lactone(SL),exhibits a broad spectrum of pharmacological effects,suggesting its potential therapeutic ***,the effects and mechanism of reynosin on neuroinflammation remain *** current study explores the effects and mechanisms of reynosin on neuroinflammation using mice and BV-2 microglial cells treated with lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Our findings reveal that reynosin effectively reduces microglial inflammation in vitro,as demonstrated by decreased CD11b expression and lowered interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β)and interleukin-18(IL-18)mRNA and protein ***,in vivo,results showed a re-duction in the number of Iba-1 positive cells and alleviation of morphological alterations,alongside decreased expressions of IL-1βand *** analysis indicates that reynosin inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome activation,evidenced by reduced transcription of NLRP3 and caspase-1,diminished NLRP3 protein expression,inhibited apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD(ASC)oli-gomerization,and decreased caspase-1 ***,reynosin curtailed the activation of nicotinamide adenine dinuc-leotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidase,demonstrated by reduced NADP^(+)and NADPH levels,downregulation of gp91^(phox) mRNA,pro-tein expression,suppression of p47^(phox) expression and translocation to the ***,reynosin exhibited a neuroprotective effect against microglial inflammation in vivo and in *** collective findings underscore reynosin’s capacity to mitigate mi-croglial inflammation by inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome,thus highlighting its potential as a therapeutic agent for managing neuroinflammation.
