Based upon the nonlinear model of random sea waves,a commonly applicable statistical distribution of wave surface elevation exact to the third order is derived through the direct calculations of each order *** distribution arrived reduces,in the sense of being exact to H_6,to the Gram-Charlier series due to Longuet-Higgins for deep water,provided that only the two simplest kinds of wave-wave inter- actions are taken into account The reason why the agreement of Gram-Charlier series with experimental data becomes worse and worse as the terms of series are increased is explicited for the first time.

Warming of climate system is undisputed as evident from observations of increasing average temperatures of air and ocean, large scale melting of ice and increasing global average sea levels. The effect of climate change directly impacts society through the chain of climate-hydrology-water-water resources systems-society. Adaptation and mitigation are the two ways of society to respond the changes in climate. Adaptations may be reactive, anticipatory, autonomous, planned, compliment and substitute type. The adaptations are carried out with the help of guidelines for climate impact and adaptation assessment. The guidelines are subjective or objective. Objective guidelines are step by step procedures to arrive at proper adaptation measures while subjective guidelines are step by step adaptation measures given on the basis of study of area, problem at hand and prerequisites for the adaptation. Many objective guidelines of climate impact and adaptation assessment are given. These objective guidelines can be classified into two approaches: hazard based approach and vulnerability based approach. Both approaches have their own pros and cons, so combined approach with more focus on vulnerability was suggested as the best. In this study based on the lessons learned from the adaptation case studies across the world, the combined approach framework is modified to get modified combined approach framework of guidelines for climate impact and adaptation assessment by adding the components related: 1) explicit mentioning of stakeholders 2) revision, modification and communication of adaptation actions.

Coir pith, a byproduct of coconut husk is difficult to decompose due to its high lignin and cellulose content. In this study, coir pith was composted with different agro industrial by products such as cow dung, vegetable market waste, poultry waste and microbial consortium. The different treatment combinations used in the present study were Control, T1 (Coir pith + Cow dung + Vegetable market waste + Poultry waste + mixed microbial culture (Trichoderma viridae + Pleurotus sajar caju), T2 (Coir pith + Vegetable market waste + Poultry waste + Tank slit + Mixed microbial culture) and T3 (Coir pith + Cow dung + poultry waste + tank slit + mixed microbial culture). At the end of 12th week, in the treatment T1, C: N ratio of 21.8:1 was observed in the composted coir pith sample. Highest P content of 0.47% and K content of 1.2% and the least Cellulose and Lignin contents of 22.8% and 10.03% were recorded in the T1 treatment after a composting period of 12 weeks. Highest pH of 7.4 was observed in the treatment T3, this was followed by T1 (7.2) treatment.

This research is derived from my doctoral thesis undertaken at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, which provided the first in-depth comparison of printed representations of Catholic and Protestant martyrdom in Tudor England since the work of McGrath and Dickens during the 1960s. In this article, a martyr is defined as one who bore witness to persecution during the Tudor Reformation （c. 1530-1600）, and who ultimately died for his or her beliefs rather than abjure. The main themes discussed were issues of continuity and change： To what extent did Protestant depictions of martyrs draw upon pre-Reformation ideas？ Were they a radical break from the past; or did they represent gradual evolution and transition in which some older beliefs were perpetuated, some were reinterpreted allegorically, and others were abandoned and replaced with new representations？ Novel contributions to the historiography include the representation of non-martyrs （individuals who failed to gain full recognition in Catholic or Protestant martyrologies）, Puritan efforts to supplant pre-Reformation rituals derived from what Duffy termed the cult of saints with abstract Old Testament inspired sermons, and the depiction of persecutors＇ untimely deaths as evidence of divine providence and the illegitimacy of rival churches. Although firmly grounded in history, my methodology also incorporated elements from other disciplines, especially gender studies, death studies, religion, philosophy, and some aspects of art history. In particular, I have examined the language of inversion, where exceptionally courageous female martyrs were portrayed with the masculine virtues of courage, analytical rationality or self-control, and allegedly negative feminine traits such as cowardice, deceit, treachery, or sexual misconduct were used to shame and discredit clergymen from rival religious groups or sects. The Molecular Structure of 4-Amino-3-phenylbutanoic acid conformers have been studied in the gas phase. Natural Bond Orbital Analysis(NBO) and Mulliken analysis of atomic charges of 4-Amino-3-phenylbutanoic acid have been performed by DFT level of theory using B3 LYP/6-311++G(d,p) basis set. The atomic charges, electronic exchange interaction and charge delocalization of the molecule have been performed by Natural Bond Orbital(NBO) analysis and Natural Population Analysis(NPA) have been constructed at B3 LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level.

The prevalence of the Internet of Things(Io T) is unsteady in the context of cloud computing, it is difficult to identify fog and cloud resource scheduling policies that will satisfy users’ Qo S need. As a result, it increases the efficiency of resource usage and boosts user and resource supplier profit. This research intends to introduce a novel strategy for computing fog via emergencyoriented resource allotment, which aims and determines the effective process under different parameters. The modeling of a non-linear functionality that is subjected to an objective function and incorporates needs or factors like Service response rate, Execution efficiency, and Reboot rate allows for the resource allocation of cloud to fog computing in this work. Apart from this, the proposed system considers the resource allocation in emergency priority situations that must cope-up with the immediate resource allocation as well. Security in resource allocation is also taken into consideration with this strategy. Thus the multi-objective function considers 3 objectives such as Service response rate, Execution efficiency, and Reboot rate. All these strategies in resource allocation are fulfilled by Levy Flight adopted Particle Swarm Optimization(LF-PSO). The evaluation is performed to determine whether the developed strategy is superior to numerous traditional schemes. The cost function attained by the adopted technique is 120, which is 19.17%, 5%, and 2.5%greater than the conventional schemes like GWSO, EHO,and PSO, when the number of iterations is 50.

A 2D depth-averaged numerical model is set up to simulate the macro-scale hydrodynamic characteristics,sediment transport patterns and morphological evolution in Hangzhou Bay,a large macro-tidal estuary on the eastern coast of *** incorporating the shallow water equations,the suspended sediment transport equation and the mass-balance equation for sediment;short-term hydrodynamics,sediment transport and long-term morphological evolution for Hangzhou Bay are simulated and the underlying physical mechanisms are *** model reproduces the spatial distribution patterns of suspended sediment concentration(SSC) in Hangzhou Bay,characterized by three high SSC zones and two low SSC *** also correctly simulates the residual flow,the residual sediment transport and the sediment accumulation patterns in Hangzhou *** model results are in agreement with previous studies based on field *** residual flow and the residual sediment transport are landwards directed in the northern part of the bay and seawards directed in the southern *** accumulation takes place in most areas of the *** analysis revealed that the tide is flood-dominant in the northern part of the bay and ebb-dominant in the southern part of the *** strength of the flood-dominance increases landwards along the northern Hangzhoii *** turn sediment transport in Hangzhou Bay is controlled by this tidal asymmetry *** addition,the direction of tidal propagation in the East China Sea,the presence of the archipelago in the southeast and the funnel-shaped geometry of the bay,play important roles for the patterns of sediment transport and sediment accumulation respectively.
