Experiments on the thermocapillary convection of high temperature Bi12SiO20 melts have been carried out in the in situ observation system. The steady flow pattern comprises of the main trunk and branches, which is deemed as the surface deformation. The oscillatory thermocapillary convection is characterized by the oscillatory main trunk and traveling branches. The transition of the melt from steady spatial to oscillatory behavior under the temperature differences 120, 60 and 10 K has been considered. The free surface deformation is observed to transform with the change of the applied temperature difference, which manifests that the thermocapillary convection is sensitive to the temperature difference. Moreover, taking the temperature distribution into account, it is noted that the deformation is formed in the colder area of the melt. The oscillatory frequency of the main trunk, which is also sensitive to the applied temperature difference, increases with the rise of temperature.

Low carbon development of blast furnaces is one of the key technological directions in the current development of *** to the differences in the physical and chemical properties of hydrogen and carbon,hydrogen-rich media entering a blast furnace will change the heat distribution,thus affecting the stability of ***,a heat distribution model was proposed to study the temperature distribution in a blast furnace,simultaneously considering gas-solid heat exchange,slag and iron melting,and chemical *** model was used to analyze the temperature distribution of a 2300 m^(3) blast furnace and was verified via comparison with actual production ***,the effects of the injection rate of hydrogen-rich media,H2 concentration,and oxygen enrichment rate of the blast on the temperature distribution were *** indicated that the increase in the injection rate of the hydrogen-rich media decreased the amount of direct reduction and led to an increase in the furnace ***,an increase in the oxygen enrichment rate led to a decrease in the furnace temperature,but could reduce the solid fuel ratio,while the change in H2 concentration had less effect on the temperature *** combination of hydrogen-rich media injection and the increase in the oxygen enrichment rate would help to adjust the temperature distribution to the same level as the conventional blast furnace conditions.

The causes and variability of a heavy haze episode in the Beijing region was analyzed. During the episode, the PM2.5 concentration reached a peak value of 450 μg/kg on January 18, 2013 and rapidly decreased to 100μg/kg on January 19, 2013, characterizing a large variability in a very short period. This strong vari- ability provides a good opportunity to study the causes of the haze formation. The in situ measurements （including surface meteorological data and vertical structures of the winds, temperature, humidity, and planetary boundary layer （PBL）） together with a chemical/dynamical regional model （WRF-Chem） were used for the analysis. In order to understand the rapid variability of the PM2.5 concentration in the episode, the correlation between the measured meteorological data （including wind speed, PBL height, relative humidity, etc.） and the measured particle concentration （PM2.5 concentration） was studied. In addition, two sensitive model experiments were performed to study the effect of individual contribution from local emissions and regional surrounding emissions to the heavy haze formation. The results suggest that there were two major meteorological factors in controlling the variability of the PM2.5 concentration, namely, surface wind speed and PBL height. During high wind periods, the horizontal transport of aerosol particles played an important role, and the heavy haze was formed when the wind speeds were very weak （less than 1 m/s）. Under weak wind conditions, the horizontal transport of aerosol particles was also weak, and the vertical mixing of aerosol particles played an important role. As a result, the PBL height was a major factor in controlling the variability of the PM2.5 concentration. Under the shallow PBL height, aerosol particles were strongly confined near the surface, producing a high surface PM2.5 concentration. Adsorption behavior of sulfamethazine in an activated sludge process treating swine wastewater

Swine wastewater is an important pollution source of antibiotics entering the aquatic environment. In this work,the adsorption behavior of sulfamethazine（SMN）,a commonlyused sulfonamide antibiotic,on activated sludge from a sequencing batch reactor treating swine wastewater was investigated. The results show that the adsorption of SMN on activated sludge was an initially rapid process and reached equilibrium after 6 hr. The removal efficiency of SMN from the water phase increased with an increasing concentration of mixed liquor suspended solids,while the adsorbed concentration of SMN decreased. Solution pH influenced both the speciation of SMN and the surface properties of activated sludge,thus significantly impacting the adsorption process. A linear partition model could give a good fit for the equilibrium concentrations of SMN at the test temperatures（i.e.,10,20 and 30°C）. The partition coefficient（Kd） was determined to be 100.5 L/kg at 20°C,indicating a quite high adsorption capacity for SMN. Thermodynamic analysis revealed that SMN adsorption on activated sludge was an exothermic process. This study could help to clarify the fate and behavior of sulfonamide antibiotics in the activated sludge process and assess consequent environmental risks arising from sludge disposal as well.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of Sini powder for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) in rats and the molecular mechanisms ***: A rat model of stress-induced NAFLD was established by a combination of long-term tethering and feeding of a high-fat, high-calorie diet. These rats were then intragastrically administered with either simvastatin, Sini powder, or vehicle for 1 week. The body mass and field test scores for each group were recorded weekly. Serum aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activities, and triglyceride, total cholesterol,and free fatty acid concentrations were *** tissue histopathology was examined on hematoxylin and eosin-stained paraffin sections and oil red O-stained frozen sections. The hepatic m RNA expression of nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB),NOD-, LRR-, and pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3), apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing CARD(ASC), and caspase-1 were measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). The hepatic protein concentrations of NF-κB and NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, interleukin-1β(IL-1β), interleukin-6(IL-6), and the serum concentrations of IL-1β and IL-6 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent ***: Compared with the Blank group, rats in the Compound model group showed significant pathologic manifestations of NAFLD, and the expression of NF-κB, NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, IL-1βand IL-6 were significantly higher(all P < 0.01). Both simvastatin and Sini powder significantly ameliorated the NAFLD pathology and the abnormal expression of NF-κB, NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, IL-1β, and IL-6(all P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: Sini powder inhibits the inflamma-tory response in rats with NAFLD, which is mediated by NF-κB/NLRP3, IL-1β, and IL-6, reduces the effects of psychological stress, and improves lipid metabolism. Therefore, Sini powder may be effective for the treatment of stress-related NAFLD through multiple mechanisms.

Graph-structured data are pervasive in the real-world such as social networks,molecular graphs and transaction *** neural networks(GNNs)have achieved great success in representation learning on graphs,facilitating various downstream ***,GNNs have several drawbacks such as lacking interpretability,can easily inherit the bias of data and cannot model casual ***,counterfactual learning on graphs has shown promising results in alleviating these *** approaches have been proposed for counterfactual fairness,explainability,link prediction and other applications on *** facilitate the develop-ment of this promising direction,in this survey,we categorize and comprehensively review papers on graph counterfactual *** divide existing methods into four categories based on problems *** each category,we provide background and motivating ex-amples,a general framework summarizing existing works and a detailed review of these *** point out promising future research directions at the intersection of graph-structured data,counterfactual learning,and real-world *** offer a comprehensive view of resources for future studies,we compile a collection of open-source implementations,public datasets,and commonly-used evalu-ation *** survey aims to serve as a“one-stop-shop”for building a unified understanding of graph counterfactual learning cat-egories and current resources.
