The shuttle effect induced by soluble lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)is known as one of the crucial issues that limit the practical applications of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)***,a titanium dioxide nanoparticle embedded in nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanofiber(TiO_(2)@NCNF)composite is constructed via an interface-induced polymerization strategy to serve as an ideal sulfur *** the protection of the nanofiber walls,the uniformly dispersed TiO_(2) nanocrystalline can act as capturing centers to constantly immobilize LiPSs towards durable sulfur ***,the mesoporous microstructure in the fibrous framework endows the TiO_(2)@NCNF host with strong physical reservation for sulfur and LiPSs,sufficient pathways for electron/ion transfer,and excellent endurance for volume *** expected,the sulfur-loaded TiO_(2)@NCNF composite electrode presents a fabulous rate performance and long cycle lifespan(capacity fading rate of 0.062%per cycle over 500 cycles)at 2.0 ***,the assembled Li-S batteries harvest superb areal capacity and cycling stability even under high sulfur loading and lean electrolyte conditions.

Regenerating periodontal bone tissues in the aggravated inflammatory periodontal microenvironment under diabetic conditions is a great ***,a polydopamine-mediated graphene oxide(PGO)and hydroxyapatite nanoparticle(PhA)-incorporated conductive alginate/gelatin(AG)scaffold is developed to accelerate periodontal bone regeneration by modulating the diabetic inflammatory *** confers the scaffold with osteoinductivity and PGO provides a conductive pathway for the *** conductive scaffold promotes bone regeneration by transferring endogenous electrical signals to cells and activating Ca2+***,the scaffold with polydopamine-mediated nanomaterials has a reactive oxygen species(ROS)-scavenging ability and anti-inflammatory *** also exhibits an immunomodulatory ability that suppresses M1 macrophage polarization and activates M2 macrophages to secrete osteogenesis-related cytokines by mediating glycolytic and RhoA/ROCK pathways in *** scaffold induces excellent bone regeneration in periodontal bone defects of diabetic rats because of the synergistic effects of good conductive,ROS-scavenging,anti-inflammatory,and immunomodulatory *** study provides fundamental insights into the synergistical effects of conductivity,osteoinductivity,and immunomodulatory abilities on bone regeneration and offers a novel strategy to design immunomodulatory biomaterials for treatment of immune-related diseases and tissue regeneration.

As a powerful noninvasive imaging technology,positron emission tomography(PET)has been playing an important role in disease theranostics and drug *** successful application of PET relies on not only the biological properties of PET tracers but also the availability of facile and efficient radiochemical reactions to enable practical production and widespread use of PET *** recently,photochemistry is emerging as a novel,mild and efficient approach to generating PET *** this review,we focus on the recent advances in newly developed photocatalytic radiochemical reactions,innovation on automated photochemical radiosynthesis modules,as well as implementation in late-stage radiolabeling and radio-pharmaceutical synthesis for PET *** believe that this review will inspire the development of more promising radiolabeling protocols for the preparation of clinically useful PET agents.

Glucocorticoid reduces the efficacy of afatinib on the head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

Glucocorticoids(GC)are widely used to counter the adverse events during cancer therapy;nonetheless,previous studies pointed out that GC may reduce the efficacy of chemotherapy on cancer cells,especially in epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)-targeted therapy of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(hNSCC)remaining to be *** primary aim of the present study was to probe into the GC-induced resistance of EGFR-targeted drug afatinib and the underlying *** cell lines(hSC-3,SCC-25,SCC-9,and h-400)and the human oral keratinocyte(hOK)cell lines were assessed for GC receptor(GR)*** promoting tumor growth effect of GC was evaluated by the CCK-8 assay and flow *** of signaling pathways participants GR,mTOR,and EGFR were determined by quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western *** increased the proliferation of hNSCC cells in a GR-dependent manner and promoted AKT/mTOR *** GC failed in counteracting the inhibition of rapamycin in the mTOR signaling ***,GC also induced resistance to EGFR-targeted drug afatinib through AKT/mTOR instead of the EGFR/ERK signaling ***,GCs reduce the efficacy of afatinib on hNSCC,implicating a cautious use of glucocorticoids in clinical practice.

Preventive effects of Bifidobacterium lactis Probio-M8 on ovalbumin-induced food allergy in mice

Food allergy is a significant public health concern *** probiotics have been found to enhance food allergy by regulating immune-microbe interactions in animal models and ***,the effects of Bifidobacterium lactis Probio-M8 on food allergy have not been thoroughly *** present study examined the anti-allergic properties of Probio-M8,particularly in relation to immune response and gut microbiota *** demonstrate that oral administration of Probio-M8 effectively mitigated the allergy symptoms triggered by ovalbumin(OVA)by ameliorating the morphological damage in the jejunum,reducing OVA-specific IgE and histamine levels in the serum,and suppressing Th2 cytokines(interleukin(IL)4 and IL-13)while increasing Th1 cytokines(interferon(IFN)γ)and regulatory T(Treg)cytokines(IL-10 and transforming growth factor(TGF)β1)in the culture supernatants of splenic ***,Probio-M8 effectively altered the diversity and composition of gut microbiota,particularly the relative abundances of Akkermansia_muciniphila in OVA-induced *** to the OVA group,the Probio-M8 group showed a decrease in the relative abundance of Akkermansia_*** conclusion,Probio-M8 demonstrates the potential to alleviate food allergy by regulating the Th1/Th2 response and modulating gut microbiota,thereby offering a novel therapeutic strategy for patients with food allergy.

The Porous Nanocarbons with Polynuclear Aromatic Cores

Three porous nanocarbons,1–3 that comprise pyrene,corannulene,and coronene cores encircled by cyclo-meta-phenylene(CMP)interconnections,have been synthesized and *** interconnected CMPs caused different curvatures of the cores and imparted high solubility,large bathochromic shift,strong fluorescence,and low reduction potential to the *** solution,these porous nanocarbons existed as a complex mixture of dynamic processes that certainly influenced one another within any single molecule,leading to a set of rather simple proton nuclear magnetic resonance(^(1)h NMR)*** crystal X-ray diffraction and computational minimum energy analysis revealed the boatand saddle-like conformations of 1–3 in the solid state,significantly deviating from their conformations on the Au(111)***,both 1 and 2 could form 2:1 complexes with C_(60),accompanied by adaptive geometry *** addition,1 served as a sky-blue emitter for an organic light-emitting diode(OLED).This work gives access and insights into a model system consisting of porous nanocarbons with intriguing supramolecular and optoelectronic properties.

On the Performances of Estimating Stellar Atmospheric Parameters from CSST Broad-band Photometry

Deriving atmospheric parameters of a large sample of stars is of vital importance to understand the formation and evolution of the Milky *** surveys,especially those with near-ultraviolet filters,can offer accurate measurements of stellar parameters,with the precision comparable to that from low/medium resolution *** this study,we explore the capability of measuring stellar atmospheric parameters from Chinese Space Station Telescope(CSST)broad-band photometry(particularly in the near-ultraviolet bands),based on synthetic colors derived from model *** find that colors from the optical and near-ultraviolet filter systems adopted by CSST show significant sensitivities to the stellar atmospheric parameters,especially the *** to our mock data tests,the precision of the photometric metallicity is quite high,with typical values of0.17 and 0.20 dex for dwarf and giant stars,*** precision of the effective temperature estimated from broad-band colors are within 50 K.

The knee joint has long been considered a closed *** pathological effects of joint diseases on distant organs have not been ***,our clinical data showed that post-traumatic joint damage,combined with joint bleeding(hemarthrosis),exhibits a worse liver function compared with healthy *** mouse model,hemarthrosis induces both cartilage degeneration and remote liver ***,we found that hemarthrosis induces the upregulation in ratio and differentiation towards Th17 cells of CD4^(+)T cells in peripheral blood and *** of CD4^(+)T cells reverses hemarthrosis-induced liver *** of cartilage matrix induced by hemarthrosis upregulates serological type Ⅱ collagen(COL Ⅱ),which activates CD4^(+)T *** application of a COL Ⅱ antibody blocks the ***,bulk RNAseq and single-cell qPCR analysis revealed that the cartilage Akt pathway is inhibited by blood ***-articular application of Akt activator blocks the cartilage degeneration and thus protects against the liver impairment in mouse and pig *** together,our study revealed a pathological joint-liver axis mediated by matrikine-activated CD4^(+)T cells,which refreshes the organ-crosstalk axis and provides a new treatment target for hemarthrosis-related disease.
