Mixture of Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus Pumilus Modulates Community Structures of Rice Rhizosphere Soil to Suppress Rice Seedling Blight

Rice seedling blight,caused by various fungi,including Fusarium oxysporum,poses a severe threat to rice *** awareness grows regarding the environmental and safety hazards associated with the application of fungicides for managing rice seedling blight,there has been a shift in focus towards biological control *** this study,we isolated biocontrol bacteria from paddy fields that significantly inhibited the growth of *** in vitro and identified the strains as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens T40 and Bacillus pumilus ***,our findings indicated that the combined application of these Bacillus strains in soil was more effective in reducing the incidence of rice seedling blight than their individual *** of 16S and internal transcribed spacer rRNA gene sequencing data revealed that the mixture of the T40 and T208 strains exhibited the lowest average clustering coefficients,which were negatively correlated with the biomass of ***-inoculated rice ***,this mixture led to higher stochastic assembly(average|βNTI|<2)and reduced selection pressures on rice rhizosphere bacteria compared with individual strain *** mixture of the T40 and T208 strains also significantly increased the expression of defense-related *** conclusion,the mixture of the T40 and T208 strains effectively modulates microbial community structures,enhances microbial network stability,and boosts the resistance against rice seedling *** study supports the development and utilization of biological resources for crop protection.

The South Atlantic Anomaly represents a region within near-Earth space characterized by a significantly weaker geomagnetic field and a higher flux of energetic particles compared to other areas. It is a space weather hazards to Low-EarthOrbit satellites. There has been evidence that the Very Low Frequency(VLF) waves from the powerful ground VLF radio transmitter in Australia, known as NWC, have the capacity to scatter energetic electrons' pitch angle in the inner radiation *** scattering directs electrons into the drift loss cone, forms a “wisp”, characterized by its peak intensity outside the South Atlantic Anomaly(SAA), and a “rift” exhibiting minimal intensity within SAA. Our findings mark the initial observation of a“wisp” precipitation, an unusual occurrence with peak intensity detected inside the SAA, observed via the Macao Science Satellite-1. Enabled by the Medium-energy Electron Spectrometer onboard Macao Science Satellite-1, we were able to comprehensively measure the full pitch angle distribution at Low-Earth-Orbit. This allowed us to attribute the “wisp” within the anomaly to a specific pitch angle range just outside the drift loss cone, a measurement unattainable by previous satellites. This“wisp” occurrence aligns with previous model predictions, despite being overlooked. Moreover, we distinguished between the trapped and precipitating electron populations. Directly derived from the ratio of these populations, our analysis revealed that approximately 2%-5% of trapped electrons will be lost in this specific wisp due to the influence of the ground VLF *** results not only complement existing evidence of energetic electron pitch angle scattering facilitated by the ground VLF transmitter but also offer a quantitative estimation of its impact.

Harnessing bacteria for superoxide production in bioremediation holds immense promise,yet its practical application is hindered by slow production rates and the relatively weak redox potential of *** study delves into a cost-effective approach to amplify superoxide production using an Arthrobacter strain,a prevalent soil bacterial *** research reveals that introducing a carbon source along with specific iron-binding ligands,including deferoxamine(DFO),diethylenetriamine pentaacetate(DTPA),citrate,and oxalate,robustly augments microbial superoxide ***,our findings suggest that these iron-binding ligands play a pivotal role in converting superoxide into hydroxyl radicals by modulating the electron transfer rate between Fe(Ⅲ)/Fe(Ⅱ)and ***,among the tested ligands,only DTPA emerges as a potent promoter of this conversion process when complexed with Fe(Ⅲ).We identify an optimal Fe(Ⅲ)to DTPA ratio of approximately 1:1 for enhancing hydroxyl radical production within the Arthrobacter *** research underscores the efficacy of simultaneously introducing carbon sources and DTPA in facilitating superoxide production and its subsequent conversion to hydroxyl radicals,significantly elevating bioremediation ***,our study reveals that DTPA augments superoxide production in cultures of diverse soils,with various soil microorganisms beyond Arthrobacter identified as contributors to superoxide *** emphasizes the universal applicability of DTPA across multiple bacterial *** conclusion,our study introduces a promising methodology for enhancing microbial superoxide production and its conversion into hydroxyl *** findings hold substantial implications for the deployment of microbial reactive oxygen species in bioremediation,offering innovative solutions for addressing environmental contamination challenges.

Extrachromosomal DNA(ecDNA)is a form of circular DNA mostly found in tumor *** the typical chromosomal DNA,ecDNA is circular,self-replicating,and carries complete or partial gene *** ecDNA occurrence remains a rare event in cancer,recent studies have shown that oncogene amplification on ecDNA is widespread throughout many types of cancer,implying that ecDNA plays a central role in accelerating tumor *** has also been associated with increased tumor mutation burden,chromosomal instability,and even tumor microenvironment *** may be crucial in influencing tumor heterogeneity,drug sensitivity,oncogenic senescence,and tumor immunogenicity,leading to a worsening prognosis for tumor *** this way,several clinical trials have been conducted to investigate the importance of ecDNA in clinical *** this review,we summarize the biogenesis,characteristics,and current research methods of ecDNA,discuss the vital role of ecDNA-caused tumor heterogeneity in cancers,and highlight the potential role of ecDNA in cancer therapy.

The history of tribology research in China is reviewed briefly in this *** stages are divided,and some memorable events in tribology research in China are introduced from my personal *** statistics of the funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC)and of published research papers on tribology in the Web of Science database are analyzed to better understand the state-of-the-art of tribology research in China,including most active research institutions and *** addition,major research contents are obtained according to keywords,and main achievements in tribology related to lubrication,lubricating materials,superlubricity,wear,biotribology and bionictribology,nanotribology,surface engineering,tribology in extreme conditions,and machine elements,particularly in recent years,are *** paper shows that tribology is a rapidly developing discipline in China and has been one of the most important contributors to world tribology.

The leucine-rich repeat(LRR)protein family is involved in a variety of fundamental metabolic and signaling processes in plants,including growth and defense *** proteins can be divided into two categories:those containing LRR domains along with other structural elements,which are further subdivided into five groups,LRR receptor-like kinases,LRR receptor-like proteins,nucleotide-binding site LRR proteins,LRR-extensin proteins,and polygalacturonase-inhibiting proteins,and those containing only LRR ***,various LRR proteins are primarily involved in plant development and responses to environmental ***,the LRR protein family plays a central role in signal transduction pathways related to stress *** this review,we classify and analyze the functions of LRR proteins in *** extensive research has been conducted on the roles of LRR proteins in disease resistance signaling,these proteins also play important roles in abiotic stress *** review highlights recent advances in understanding how LRR proteins mediate responses to biotic and abiotic *** upon these insights,further exploration of the roles of LRR proteins in abiotic stress resistance may aid efforts to develop rice varieties with enhanced stress and disease tolerance.

The paper is an introduction to the front-end pulse acquisition and the back-end pulse biomimetic reproduction system. This system is capable of faithfully replicating the complete pulse waveform collected at the front end. Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) practitioners analyze and diagnose the pulse patterns at the replication end. Meanwhile, the obtained pulse waveforms are analyzed and learnt by a neural network based on key diagnostic points in TCM pulse taking, which enables the determination of the corresponding relationships between different pulse waveforms and various pulse patterns in TCM pulse taking. With the support of clinical samples, an auxiliary diagnostic system for TCM pulse patterns ensures the accuracy of pulse pattern replication.

According to different damage modes,warheads are roughly divided into three types:fragmentation warheads,shaped charge warheads,and penetrating *** to limitations in material and structural manufacturing,traditional manufacturing methods make it difficult to fully utilize the damage ability of the *** manufacturing(AM)technology can fabricate complex structures,with classified materials composition and customized components,while achieving low cost,high accuracy,and rapid production of the *** maturity of AM technology has brought about a new round of revolution in the field of *** this paper,we first review the principles,classifications,and characteristics of different AM *** development trends of AM technologies are pointed out,including multi-material AM technology,hybrid AM technology,and smart AM *** our survey,PBF,DED,and EBM technologies are mainly used to manufacture warhead damage *** and DIW technologies are mainly used to manufacture warhead ***,the research on the application of AM technology in three types of warhead and warhead charges was reviewed and the existing problems and progress of AM technologies in each warhead were ***,we summarized the typical applications and look forward to the application prospects of AM technology in the field of warheads.
