Natural killer(NK)cells possess innate abilities to effectively eliminate cancer ***,because of difficulties of proliferation and easy to be induced dysfunction in the setting of cancer post NK cell therapy,the curative effect of NK cell infusion has been constrained and not been widely applicable in clinical *** rapid development of biotechnology has promoted the development of NK cell therapy for cancer *** this review,we will provide a comprehensive analysis of the current status and future prospects of NK cell therapy for cancer,focusing on the biological characteristics of NK cells,as well as strategies to enhance their targeting capabilities and overcome tumor immune suppression within the microenvironment.

Plasma apo CⅢ Levels in Relation to Inflammatory Traits and Metabolic Syndrome in Patients not Treated with Lipid-lowering Drugs Undergoing Coronary Angiography

Objective Assessment of the comprehensive relationship among apolipoprotein CIII（apoCⅢ） levels, inflammation, and metabolic disorders is rare. Methods A total of 1455 consecutive patients not treated with lipid-lowering drugs and undergoing coronary angiography were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. A mediation analysis was used to detect the underlying role of apoCⅢ in the association of inflammation with metabolic syndrome（MetS）. Results Patients with MetS showed higher levels of apoCⅢ [95.1（73.1-131.4） vs. 81.7（58.6-112.4） μg/mL, P 〈 0.001] and inflammatory markers [high sensitivity C-reactive protein, 1.7（0.8-3.4） vs. 1.1（0.5-2.2） mg/L; white blood cell count,（6.48 ± 1.68） vs.（6.11 ± 1.67） × 10~9/L]. The levels of apoCⅢ and inflammatory markers increased with the number of metabolic risk components（all P 〈 0.001）. Furthermore, apoCⅢ levels were associated with virtually all individual MetS risk factors and inflammatory markers（all P 〈 0.05）. Importantly, the prevalence of MetS in each metabolic disorder rose as apoCⅢ levels increased（all P 〈 0.05）. Mediation analysis showed that apoCⅢ partially mediated the effect of inflammation on MetS independently from triglycerides. Conclusion Plasma apoCⅢ levels were significantly associated with the development and severity of MetS, and a role of apoCⅢ in the effect of inflammation on the development of MetS was identified.

Blood pumps have been adopted to treat heart failure over the past decades. A novel blood pump adopting the rotor with splitter blades and tandem cascade stator was developed recently. A particle image velocimetry （P1V） experiment was carried out to verify the design of the blood pump based on computational fluid dynamics （CFD） and further analyze the flow properties in the rotor and stator. The original sized pump model with an acrylic housing and an experiment loop were constructed to perform the optical measurement. The PIV testing was carried out at the rotational speed of 6952±50 r/rain with the flow rate of 3.1 l/rain and at 8186±50 r/min with 3.5 l/rain, respectively. The velocity and the Reynolds shear stress distributions were investigated by PIV and CFD, and the comparisons between them will be helpful for the future blood pump design.

In the present study, a perfusion system of dispersed cells was used to investigate theeffects of LHRH pulse amplitude and frequency, and LHRH continuous stimulation on LHsecretion by anterior pituitary cells of adult male rats. The results have shown that, in therange of LHRH concentrations from 1×10^(-10) to 1 ×10^(-6) mol/L, the dose-response curve of LHsecretion was linear. LHRH pulse frequency generated a biphasic LH response: increasingLHRH pulse frequency increased the basal LH secretion and decreased LH/pulse. When1 ×10^(-9), mol/L or greater LHRH was given at frequencies of 3 pulses/h or higher, it wasobserved that a maximal LH peak was induced and then the LH release declined progres-sively to its LH basal level, i.e. LHRH self-priming effect and LH desensitization occurred.Enhancement of amplitude of LHRH pulses could reduce pulse frequency required for prim-ing. Increases in frequency of LHRH pulses with high amplitude would provoke the prim-ing effect more quickly. In addition, continuous perfusion of LHRH with different con-centrations could also elicit the LHRH self-priming effect and LH desensitization. LHRHwith low concentration (1×10^(-10) mol/L) would take much longer to evoke a self-primingeffect. These results indicate that the LH secretion pattern is dependent on LHRH pulsatileamplitude and frequency, and will help to clarify the kinetics mechanisms by which LHpulses fluctuate in vivo.

In the investigation on fracture mechanics,the potential function was introduced, and the moving differential equation was constructed. By making Laplace and Fourier transformation as well as sine and cosine transformation to moving differential equations and various responses, the dual equation which is constructed from boundary conditions lastly was solved. This method of investigating dynamic crack has become a more systematic one that is used widely. Some problems are encountered when the dynamic crack is studied. After the large investigation on the problems, it is discovered that during the process of mathematic derivation, the method is short of precision, and the derived results in this method are accidental and have no credibility.A model for example is taken to explain the problems existing in initial deriving process of the integral_transformation method of dynamic crack.

To investigate the formation of internal cracks in steel billets during soft reduction, fully coupled thermo-mechanical finite element models were developed using the commercial software ABAQUS, also casting and soft reduction tests were carried out in a laboratory strand casting machine. With the finite element models, the temperature distribution, the stress and strain states in the billet were calculated. The relation between internal cracks and equivalent plastic strain, as well as maximal principal stress was analyzed. The results indicate that tensile stresses can develop in the mushy zone during soft reduction and the equivalent strain nearby the zero ductility temperature （ZDT） increases with decreasing solid fraction. Internal cracks can be initiated when the accumulated strain exceeds the critical strain or the applied tensile stress exceeds the critical fracture stress during solidification.

By using double glow plasma surface metallurgy technique, the molybdenum （Mo） surface- modified layer on titanium （Ti） was obtained. The corresponding cross-section morphology, phase formation, and element concentration were investigated by optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, and glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy （GDOES）, respectively. The experimental results indicate that the Mo modified layer is composed of a 1.7 μm pure Mo deposition layer and a 14.3μm Mo diffusion layer. Along the sample thickness direction, nanoindentation tests were performed on the cross-section of the Mo diffusion layer and the Ti substrate （for the comparison purpose） by Hysitron TI900 TriboIndenter. The 2D and 3D residual indentation profiles of the Mo diffusion layer were obtained by scanning probe microscopy （SPM）. The elastic modulus and hardness values of every indent were acquired and analyzed. According to the load-displacement curves, the plastic deformation degrees of the Mo diffusion layer and the Ti substrate were analyzed. It is indicated that the Mo diffusion layer possesses high strength-toughness.

Given the limited availability of resources in nature,sexual attractiveness may trade off with immunocompetence,as the immunocompetence handicap hypothesis(ICHH)*** invertebrates,a direct link between trade-offs through hormonal/molecular effectors in sexual signals and immunity has not been found so ***,we assessed how variation in sexual signals affected parasite infection in two sex pheromone selected lines of the moth Chloridea virescens:an attractive line with a low ratio of 16:Ald/Z11-16:Ald and an unattractive line with a high *** infecting these lines with an apicomplexan parasite,we found that the attractive Low line was significantly more susceptible to the parasite infection than the unattractive High *** the ratio difference between these two lines is determined by a delta-11-desturase,we hypothesized that this desaturase may have a dual role,i.e.,in the quality of the sexual signal as well as an involvement in immune response,comparable to testosterone in ***,when we used CRISPR/cas9 to knockout delta-11-desturase in the attractive Low line,we found that the pheromonal phenotype did change to that of the High line,but the infection susceptibility did ***,when checking the genomic location of delta-11-desaturase in the ***,we found that mucin is adjacent to *** comparing the mucin sequences in both lines,we found four nonsynonymous SNPs in the coding sequence,as well as intronic variation between the two *** differences suggest that genetic hitchhiking may explain the variation in susceptibility to parasitic infection.
