Single-shot phase retrieval for randomly fluctuated and obstructed vortex beams

Vortex beams with orbital angular momentum play a crucial role in increasing the information capacity in optical *** magnitude of orbital angular momentum determines the ability of information *** practice,a vortex beam can encounter random objects or turbulence during free-space propagation,resulting in information ***,accurately measuring the orbital angular momentum of a randomly fluctuated and obstructed vortex beam is a considerable ***,we propose a single-shot method for the phase retrieval of a randomly fluctuated and obstructed vortex beam by combining the phase-shift theorem and self-reference *** results reveal that the sign and magnitude of the initial orbital angular momentum can be simultaneously determined based on their quantitative relation with the number of coherence singularities on the observation plane,thus addressing the effects of random occlusion and atmospheric *** proposed method considerably improved the accurate decoding of orbital angular momentum information in nonideal freespace optical communications.

With the increasing demand for multifunctional optoelectronic devices,flexible electrochromic energy storage devices are being widely recognized as promising platforms for diverse ***,simultaneously achieving high capacitance,fast color switching and large optical modulation range is very *** this study,the MXenebased flexible in-plane microsupercapacitor was fabricated via a mask-assisted spray coating *** adding electrochromic ethyl viologen dibromide(EVB)into the electrolyte,the device showed a reversible color change during the charge/discharge *** to the high electronic conductivity of the MXene flakes and the fast response kinetics of EVB,the device exhibited a fast coloration/bleaching time of 2.6 s/2.5 s,a large optical contrast of 60%,and exceptional coloration *** addition,EVB acted as a redox additive to reinforce the energy storage performance;as a result,the working voltage window of the Ti_(3)C_(2)-based symmetric aqueous microsupercapacitor was extended to 1 ***,the device had a high areal capacitance of 12.5 mF cm^(−2)with superior flexibility and mechanical stability and showed almost 100%capacitance retention after 100 bending *** as-prepared device has significant potential for a wide range of applications in flexible and wearable electronics,particularly in the fields of camouflage,anticounterfeiting,and displays.

V0405 Dra:A New Deep and Low Mass Ratio Contact Binary with Extremely Fast Decrease in the Orbital Period

V0405 Dra is a W UMa-type binary *** on the TESS data,we have conducted an orbital period study and performed a light curve analysis for the *** orbital period study reveals that the O-C curve for V0405 Dra exhibits secular decrease at an extremely high rate of d P/dt=-2.71×10^(-6)day year^(-1),along with periodic variations characterized by an amplitude of A_(3)=0.0032 day and a period of P_(3)=1.413 *** orbital periodic change is possibly due to the light-travel time effect resulting from an additional third body in the system,for which we estimate a minimum mass of M_(3)=0.77M_(⊙).By employing the 2013 version of the Wilson-Devinney(W-D)method to synthesize a light curve,we derived photometric solutions indicating that V0405 Dra is a new deep(f=68.7%)and low-mass ratio(q=0.175)contact *** fast decrease in its orbital period is likely caused by mass transfer from the more massive primary star to the less massive secondary star,or due to angular momentum *** further mass transfer and loss of angular momentum,the binary will gradually evolve into a tighter contact configuration,eventually leading to a merger into a single star,following the evolutionary paths suggested for such deep and low mass ratio contact binaries.

An optical multimode fiber(MMF)is capable of delivering structured light modes or complex images with high ***,we present a holographic approach to enable the MMF as a 3D holographic projector with the capability of complete polarization *** harnessing the strong coupling of the spatial and polarization degrees of freedom of light propagating through MMFs,our approach realizes active control of the output intensity and polarization in 3D space by shaping only the wavefront of the incident *** this manner,we demonstrate MMF-based holographic projection of vectorial images on multiple planes via a phase-only ***,dynamic projection of polarization-multiplexed grayscale images is presented with an averaged Pearson correlation coefficient of up to *** work is expected to benefit fiber-based holographic displays,data transmission,optical imaging,and manipulation.

The Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS),including the US’s GPS,China’s BDS,the European Union’s Galileo,and Russia’s GLONASS,offer real-time,all-weather,any-time,anywhere and high precision observations by transmitting L band signals continuously,which have been widely used for positioning,navigation and *** the development of GNSS technology,it has been found that GNSS-reflected signals can be used to detect Earth’s surface characteristics together with other signals of *** this paper,the current status and latest advances are presented on Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry(GNSS-R)in theory,methods,techniques and *** developments and progresses in GNSS-R instruments,theoretical modeling,and signal processing,ground and space-/air-borne experiments,parameters retrieval(*** speed,sea surface height,soil moisture,ice thickness),sea surface altimetry and applications in the atmosphere,oceans,land,vegetation,and cryosphere are given and reviewed in ***,the challenges in the GNSS-R development of each field are also ***,the future applications and prospects of GNSS-R are discussed,including multi-GNSS reflectometry,new GNSS-R receivers,GNSS-R missions,and emerging applications,such as mesoscale ocean eddies,ocean phytoplankton blooms,microplastics detection,target recognition,river flow,desert studies,natural hazards and landslides monitoring.

Complementary multicolor electrochromic devices with excellent stability based on porous tin oxide nanosheet scaffold

Electrochromic devices(ECDs)have been extensively investigated as promising candidates in broad cutting-edge applications,such as smart windows,electronic labels,adaptive camouflage,***,they have suffered from either inadequate color variations or poor cycling stability for a long ***,we developed a general strategy to boost the cyclic stability and enrich the color variations of ECDs by scrupulous design of the composition and nanostructure of electrodes,in which porous tin oxide(SnO_(2))nanosheets serve as the scaffold and typical metal oxides or conducting polymers as the active electrochromic *** electrochromic composite materials,including polyaniline(PANI)@SnO_(2),V2O5@SnO_(2),and WO_(3)@SnO_(2) heterostructured nanoarrays were prepared by the facile wet-chemical *** composite electrodes exhibit remarkable electrochromic performances,e.g.,superior cycling stability(more than 2000 cycles),rich color variations(more than 5 colors for PANI@SnO_(2)),and enlarged optical *** excellent performances account for the heterogenous porous nanoarrays,which not only facilitate the intercalation/extraction of ions but also relieve the stress generated during the electrochemical *** addition,diverse prototypes of complementary multicolor ECD with excellent cycling stability(over thousands of cycles)and rich color variations(8 colors)were realized for the first *** believe that our work put forward a general strategy for developing high-quality multicolor complementary electrochromic devices.

Molecular glues are typically small chemical molecules that act at the interface between a target protein and degradation machinery to trigger ternary complex *** molecular glues is *** is a scarcity of target-specific upregulating molecular glues,which are highly anticipated for numerous targets,including P53.P53 is degraded in proteasomes through polyubiquitination by specific E3 ligases,whereas deubiquitinases(DUBs)remove polyubiquitination conjugates to counteract these ***,small-molecular glues that enhance P53 anchoring to DUBs may stabilize P53 through ***,using small-molecule microarray-based technology and unbiased screening,we identified three potential molecular glues that may tether P53 to the DUB,USP7,and elevate the P53 *** the molecular glues,bromocriptine(BC)is an FDA-approved drug with the most robust *** was further verified to increase P53 stability via the predicted molecular glue mechanism engaging *** with P53 upregulation in cancer cells,BC was shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and suppress tumor growth in a xenograft *** summary,we established a potential screening platform and identified potential molecular glues upregulating *** strategies could be applied to the identification of other types of molecular glues that may benefit drug discovery and chemical biology studies.

Cuprotosis,a new type of cell death,provides great opportunities for the treatment of oral squamous cell carcinoma,as nanocarriers of copper ions can induce cuprotosis and immunogenic ***,we studied an editor that enables production of a nanoparticle“storm”in oral squamous cell carcinoma,maximizing the toxic effect of these particles and reprogramming the tumor microenvironment;as a result,T cells and natural killer(NK)cells can infiltrate the tumor microenvironment to activate an antitumor immune *** this basis,the editor can be combined with optical therapy to improve patient *** this study,the metal ratio was regulated in response to the nanocarrier of acid response ***,in the presence of a specific copper ion content,the nanocarrier could change the permeability of the tumor cell *** on these results,the nanoparticles were cracked in an acidic environment and then released copper ***,the nanoparticles contributed to cuprotosis and immunogenic *** addition,the editor could inhibit murine oral cancer 1(MOC1)tumors in C57BL/6 without *** rate of tumor growth inhibition was as high as approximately 80%.This strategy provides a new idea for ***,it can improve the interaction between immunotherapy and the copper-induced death of oral squamous cell *** all,this study will provide a new opportunity for the effective treatment of oral squamous cell carcinoma.

A robust synthesis route of confined carbyne

The unique mechanical,optical,and electrical properties of carbyne,a one-dimensional allotrope of carbon,make it a highly promising material for various *** has been demonstrated that carbon nanotubes(CNTs)can serve as an ideal host for the formation of confined carbyne(CC),with the yield being influenced by the quality of the carbon nanotubes for confinement and the carbon source for carbyne *** this study,a robust synthesis route of CC within CNTs is proposed.C70 was utilized as a precursor to provide an additional carbon source,based on its ability to supply more carbon atoms than C60 at the same filling ***-step transformation processes,including defect creation,were designed to enhance the yield of *** a result,the yield of CC was significantly increased for the C70 encapsulated single-walled CNTs by more than an order of magnitude than the empty counterparts,which also surpasses that of the double-walled CNTs,making it the most effective route for synthesizing *** findings highlight the importance of the additional carbon source and the optimal pathway for CC formation,offering valuable insights for the application of materials with high yield.

The evolution of ablative Rayleigh–Taylor instability(ARTI)induced by single-mode stationary and time-varying perturbations in heat flux is studied numerically in two *** with the stationary case,time-varying heat-flux perturbation mitigates ARTI growth because of the enhanced thermal smoothing induced by the wave-like traveling heat flux.A resonance is found to form when the phase velocity of the heat-flux perturbation matches the average sound speed in the ablation *** the resonant regime,the coherent density and temperature fluctuations enhance the electron thermal conduction in the ablation region and lead to larger ablation pressure and effective acceleration,which consequently yield higher linear growth rate and saturated bubble *** enhanced effective acceleration offers increased implosion velocity but can also compromise the integrity of inertial confinement fusion shells by causing faster ARTI growth.
