Double-integrator multi-agent systems(MASs)might not achieve dynamical consensus,even if only partial agents suffer from self-sensing function failures(SSFFs).SSFFs might be asynchronous in real engineering *** existing fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol suitable for synchronous SSFFs cannot be directly used to tackle fault-tolerant dynamical consensus of double-integrator MASs with partial agents subject to asynchronous *** by these facts,this paper explores a new fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol suitable for asynchronous ***,multi-hop communication together with the idea of treating asynchronous SSFFs as multiple piecewise synchronous SSFFs is used for recovering the connectivity of network topology among all normal ***,a fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol is designed for double-integrator MASs by utilizing the history information of an agent subject to SSFF for computing its own state information at the instants when its minimum-hop normal neighbor set ***,it is theoretically proved that if the strategy of network topology connectivity recovery and the fault-tolerant dynamical consensus protocol with proper time-varying gains are used simultaneously,double-integrator MASs with all normal agents and all agents subject to SSFFs can reach dynamical ***,comparison numerical simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Studying the system state of coexistence regions will peek into to reveal microscopic interactions between different phases of a thermodynamic ***,there is no effective method to study thermodynamic nature of the coexistence black hole regions for the failure of the equation of *** at these coexistence states,in this work,we develop a general approach by introducing two new ratio *** first one is the ratio of the horizon radii of the saturated coexistence small and large black holes,and the second one measures that of the small black hole molecule number to the total molecule *** demonstrate that the first parameter can serve as an order parameter to characterize the first-order phase *** study also shows that the black hole state in the coexistence region is uniquely determined by these two introduced parameters bounded between 0 and *** results are quite significant in the analytical study of phase transition and the microscopic nature of black hole in the coexistence regions.

Electrochromic devices(ECDs)have been extensively investigated as promising candidates in broad cutting-edge applications,such as smart windows,electronic labels,adaptive camouflage,***,they have suffered from either inadequate color variations or poor cycling stability for a long ***,we developed a general strategy to boost the cyclic stability and enrich the color variations of ECDs by scrupulous design of the composition and nanostructure of electrodes,in which porous tin oxide(SnO_(2))nanosheets serve as the scaffold and typical metal oxides or conducting polymers as the active electrochromic *** electrochromic composite materials,including polyaniline(PANI)@SnO_(2),V2O5@SnO_(2),and WO_(3)@SnO_(2) heterostructured nanoarrays were prepared by the facile wet-chemical *** composite electrodes exhibit remarkable electrochromic performances,e.g.,superior cycling stability(more than 2000 cycles),rich color variations(more than 5 colors for PANI@SnO_(2)),and enlarged optical *** excellent performances account for the heterogenous porous nanoarrays,which not only facilitate the intercalation/extraction of ions but also relieve the stress generated during the electrochemical *** addition,diverse prototypes of complementary multicolor ECD with excellent cycling stability(over thousands of cycles)and rich color variations(8 colors)were realized for the first *** believe that our work put forward a general strategy for developing high-quality multicolor complementary electrochromic devices.

Bamboo-derived hard carbon/carbon nanotube composites as anode material for long-life sodium-ion batteries with high charge/discharge capacities

Hard carbon derived from bamboo for the anode material of sodium-ion batteries has a three-dimensional(3D) open framework structure and has naturally incorporated K-ions into its carbon structure,increasing the dinterlayer spacing of hard carbon materials for facilitating Na^(+) *** this work,bamboo-derived hard carbon was prepared via two carbonization temperatures at 700and 1000 ℃ for an hour and employed as an anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIB).X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform(FT)-Raman spectroscopic results indicated the disordered structure with d-spacing(d_(002)) around0.36-0.37 nm,which is a benefit for sodium ion insertion/***,the composition between carbon-nanotube(CNT) and bamboo-derived hard carbon(BB) was synthesized by a ball mill with various contents of CNT(1 wt%,5 wt% and 10 wt%).At the optimal CNT content of 5 wt%,the sample exhibited excellent performance and outstanding *** the anode,the half-cell SIB using BB(700)w@5%CNT(with a carbonization temperature of700 ℃ and CNT loading of 5 wt%) delivered a high initial specific capacity of 268.9 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1C and capacity retention of 78.6% after 500 cycles at *** full cell SIB fabrication BB(700)w@5%CNT in combination with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO4)_(3) as the cathode demonstrated a high specific capacity of 127.6 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.2C with its capacitive retention remaining of 78% at 1.0C after 1000 *** attained storage performance indicates that hard carbonCNT composite anode material enhanced the conductive path of electron transport and provided long-term cycling *** good electrochemical performance as well as the low cost and environment-friendliness of the bambooderived hard carbon proves its suitability for future sodium-ion batteries.

In this big data era, the use of large dataset in conjunction with machine learning (ML) has been increasingly popular in both industry and academia. In recent times, the field of materials science is also undergoing a big data revolution, with large database and repositories appearing everywhere. Traditionally, materials science is a trial-and-error field, in both the computational and experimental departments. With the advent of machine learning-based techniques, there has been a paradigm shift: materials can now be screened quickly using ML models and even generated based on materials with similar properties;ML has also quietly infiltrated many sub-disciplinary under materials science. However, ML remains relatively new to the field and is expanding its wing quickly. There are a plethora of readily-available big data architectures and abundance of ML models and software;The call to integrate all these elements in a comprehensive research procedure is becoming an important direction of material science research. In this review, we attempt to provide an introduction and reference of ML to materials scientists, covering as much as possible the commonly used methods and applications, and discussing the future possibilities.

Heart failure(HF)is a clinical hallmark of cardiovascular syndrome leading to substantial morbidity,repeated hospitalization,and enormous healthcare *** elderly populations continue to increase,biomarker-guided diagnosis and treatment for age-related cardiac decline have become *** evidence demonstrates that N-terminal proBNP(NT-proBNP)can provide a unique window into the diagnosis and risk stratification with ***,a simple yet robust aptasensor is developed for on-site recognizing the NT-proBNP by its targeting aptamer,thus achieving the accurate diagnosis of *** aptasensing system is prepared by absorbing the fluorophore-labeled aptamer strand onto the graphene oxide(GO),leading to efficient quenching without possible off-site signal *** aptamer strand can specifically identify target NT-proBNP molecules via a versatile conformational transformation,resulting in the desorption of the aptamer-NTproBNP complexes from GO and re-generation fluorescence signal,thus allowing sensitive detection of NT-proBNP in 37 clinical blood *** advantage of the high specificity of aptamer-guaranteed recognitions of NT-proBNP,this aptasensor system readily achieves better diagnostic performance for HF than commercially adopted chemiluminescence immunoassay(Siemens,CLIA)in hospitals in terms of accuracy(89.2%vs 83.8%),specificity(89.5%vs 84.2%),and positive predictive value(88.9%vs 83.3%).This work provides a stable option for the diagnosis and treatment of elderly HF-related diseases inclinics.

Photocatalytic aerobic oxidation reactions are largely governed by the efficiency of charge separation and subsequent reactive oxygen species(ROS) generation. Herein, we report a polarization engineering strategy to promote the charge separation and ROS generation efficiency by substituting the benzene unit with furan/thiophene in porous organic polymers(POPs). Benefiting from the extent of local polarization, the thiophene-containing POP(JNU-218) exhibits the best photocatalytic performance in aerobic oxidation reactions, with a yield much higher than those for the furan-containing POP(JNU-217) and the benzenecontaining POP(JNU-216). Experimental studies and theoretical calculations reveal that the increase of local polarization can indeed reduce the exciton binding energy, and therefore facilitate the separation of electron-hole pairs. This work demonstrates a viable strategy to tune charge separation and ROS generation efficiency by modulating the dipole moments of the building blocks in porous polymeric organic semiconductors.

We study the chiral bound states in a coupled-resonator array with staggered hopping strengths,which interacts with a two-level small atom through a single coupling point or two adjacent *** addition to the two typical bound states found above and below the energy bands,this system presents an extraordinary chiral bound state located within the energy *** use the chirality to quantify the breaking of the mirror *** find that the chirality value undergoes continuous changes by tuning the coupling *** preferred direction of the chirality is controlled not only by the competition between the intracell and the intercell hoppings in the coupled-resonator array,but also by the coherence between the two coupling *** the case with one coupling point,the chirality values varies monotonously with difference between the intracell hopping and the intercell *** in the case with two coupling points,due to the coherence between the two coupling points the perfect chiral states can be obtained.
