Spatial Distribution of Integrated Impact Index of Mega-event——A Case Study of Expo '99 Kunming

Taking the affinity between events and media as a conceptualization base, a total of 1032 related news re-ports of Expo '99 Kunming, gathered from the internet data bank of China INFOBANK from 1992 to 2003, are used as data sources. After classifying them with a communication research method-the content analysis, a data bank for SPSS is set up, and a mathematic model called the Integrated Impact Index of Expo '99 Kunming is constituted. With the model, the spatial distribution of the total integrated impacts of Expo '99 Kunming on the regions or cities with different regional scales is analysed quantitatively. The conclusions are: 1) the Expo '99 Kunming made obvious integrated impacts on the regions or cities of every scale, especially in the venue city and the region-Kunming City and Yunnan Province; 2) it had corresponding impacts on other provinces; 3) the spatial distribution of Integrated Impact Index had a disaggregation with both plane extension and spotted decentralization; and 4) there was a distance decay law in all three scales of regions (Kunming City, Yunnan Province and the whole China), which incarnated the spatial extension law of the integrated impact of a special mega-event.

Air pollution,especially fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))pollution,has a great negative impact on human production and normal *** is a hot issue of global concern,and it is also a huge test for China’s high-quality socioeconomic *** absorption capacity(EAC)is the guarantee of the structure and function of a healthy atmospheric environmental *** plays an important role in the automatic accommodation,absorption,and digestion of air pollutants produced by humans in the process of industrialization and *** the absorption capacity of environmental elements on PM_(2.5),and exploring the impact of EAC on PM_(2.5) concentration are of great significance to the development of new ideas for air pollution *** paper constructed an index system to calculate the EAC index from two dimensions(natural resource endowment and impact of human activities),analyzed and discussed the impact of EAC on PM_(2.5) concentration and its heterogeneity effect through panel regression model,generalized panel quantile regression based on MCMC optimization and scenario analysis,by using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2004 to *** results suggested that:(i)The overall level of national EAC was low,and the regional differences were *** was influenced by natural resource endowment and human activities,while natural endowment was the main factor affecting EAC,and human activities were the main factor causing the fluctuation and the regional difference of EAC.(ii)As the result of full sample regression demonstrated,the enhancement of EAC had a significant negative influence on the reduction of PM_(2.5) *** areas with high PM_(2.5) concentration,the effect of EAC was more obvious,but the effect did not necessarily increase with the increase of PM_(2.5) ***,in extreme cases,the effect did not pass the significance test.(iii)According to the results of heterogeneity effect analysis,the effec

The assessment of the spatiotemporal evolution of habitat quality caused by land use changes can provide a scientifc basis for the ecological protection and green development of mining *** Yanshan County as an example of a typical mining city,this article discussed the spatial pattern and evolution characteristics of habitat quality in 2000 and 2018 based on the ArcGIS platform and the InVEST *** conclusions are as below:from 2000 to 2018,the area of farmland and construction land changed the most in the study *** them,the area of farmland decreased by 3.48%,and the area of industrial and mining land and construction land increased by 53.25%.Areas of low,relatively low and high habitat quality expanded,and areas of medium and relatively high habitat quality shrank,which is closely related to the distribution of land *** areas with high habitat degradation degrees appear around cities,mining areas and watersheds,while the areas with low habitat degradation degrees are mainly distributed in the southern *** distribution of cold and hot spots in the habitat quality distribution of Yanshan County presents a pattern of“hot in the south and cold in the north”.The results are of great signifcance to the precise implementation of ecosystem management decisions in mining cities and the creation of a landscape pattern of“beautiful countrysides,green cities,and green mines”.

In this paper, we examine the relationship between CEO power, CEO age and the efficiency of policy implementation in listed corporations controlled by each province＇s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission （SASAC） in China. We find that CEOs with more power implement policy are more efficiently. We also find that younger powerful CEOs will act more effectively than their older competitors. The reason for the difference is that younger powerful CEOs in state-owned companies are incentivized to implement their policy tasks to gain promotions or political capital. Our results are important to future SOE reform and to understanding the characteristics of SOEs as policy instruments.

Ecological city(eco-city) and its planning approach are emerging concepts in urban study,urban planning,ecological economics,environmental policy and corporate environmental ***,opinions remain divided over the connotation and denotation of the term"ecological city",what key issues ecocity planning can solve,and its specific *** this study,we present 10 basic propositions that define the eco-city and clarify its key parameters,thereby providing the basis for discussing the assumptions and principles underlying different approaches to sustainable urban *** then summarize the concept and principles of an eco-city,and define the main requirements for ecocity *** conclude that an eco-city is a city in which the urban population,scale of land use and intensity of human activities are limited to the regional resource and environmental carrying capacity,which does not cause increasing or irreversible damage to the regional ecosystem's structure,functions and processes.

When conducting company performance evaluations,the traditional method cannot reflect the distribution characteristics of the company’s operating conditions in the entire securities *** is an efficient tool for data analysis and visualization in the era of big *** can convert the evaluation results of all listed companies into nodes and edges,and directly display them in the form of graphs,thus making up for the defects of traditional *** paper will take all the listed companies in the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchange as the analysis *** uses tushare and web crawlers to collect the financial statement data of these *** then,uses the Economic Value Added model to calculate the EVA of each listed company and build graph ***,import the graph data into gephi to generate the distribution graph of all listed companies’performance,and summarize the distribution characteristics of business ***,select a listed company that you want to analyze in detail,using the traditional DuPont analysis method to conduct micro level visualization analysis of the business performance to find the main factors affecting the company’s operating *** gephi into traditional performance analysis methods will make the results of traditional analytical methods more effective and complete.

This paper aims to examine the effect of agglomeration on firm level productivity in Iran’s food manufacturing by employing a firm level dataset during 1986–2015 among firms for four *** empirical results show that agglomeration in north districts are key factors in productivity *** this work,we apply a spatial Bayes model that uses hierarchical techniques during the three *** productivity clustering map is able to capture such patterns as the high productivity area that appears in the south,north districts of *** paper evaluates the effect of agglomeration on firm productivity in Iran’s food industries at district *** find that regional market potential is the strong predictor of productivity;moreover,industrial agglomeration has a productivity-augmenting impact.

Agricultural plastics play a pivotal role in agricultural ***,due to expensive costs,agricultural plastic waste management(APWM)encounters a vast funding *** one of the crucial stakeholders,the public deserves to make appropriate efforts for ***,identifying whether the public is willing to pay for APWM and clarifying the decisions’driving pathways to explore initiatives for promoting their payment intentions are essential to address the dilemma confronting *** this end,by applying the extended theory of planned behavior(TPB),the study conducted an empirical analysis based on 1,288 residents from four provinces(autonomous regions)of northern *** illustrate that:1)respondents hold generally positive and relatively strong payment willingness towards APWM;2)respondents’attitude(AT),subjective norm(SN),and perceived behavioral control(PBC)are positively correlated with their payment intentions(INT);3)environmental cognition(EC)and environmental emotion(EE)positively moderate the relationships between AT and INT,and between SN and INT,posing significant indirect impacts on *** study’s implications extend to informing government policies,suggesting that multi-entity cooperation,specifically public payment for APWM,can enhance agricultural non-point waste management.

China and Emerging Economies in Global Financial Governance:Legitimacy,Accountability and Democracy

Global financial governance refers to the way in which global financial affairs are managed. As there is no global government, global financial governance typically involves a range of actors including states, as well as regional and international organizations aimed at negotiating responses to problems that affect more than one state or region, far from only providing the public good of financial stability through global economy integration and global financial legislation. In geopolitical context of the 21 st century, emerging economies still have maintained a low profile in global financial governance, despite their growing economic power and the rhetoric of being a responsible great power, and there is little evidence that they will seek international leadership. Moreover,compared to the other emerging powers in the BRICS(Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) group,China has under-participated in global governance in terms of contributing personnel, finance and ideas to major multilateral institutions and programs. It is really an interesting question in international economics and politics area. Firstly, this paper examines comparative data on the emerging economies countries' participation in global financial governance and explains the reason why China has relatively low involvement in global financial governance. Secondly, this paper analyzes norms and legitimacy in global financial governance, and thus outlines the emerging economies constraints on public policy of global financial market integration in the light of the foregoing analysis of legitimacy, accountability and democracy. Finally, some global financial governance development strategy and possible policy solutions are discussed as well.
